The design of the hotel was quite nice it was somewhere between a western and Japanese hotel. It was nice that they gave us loungewear as well as other toiletries during our stay. There was a on-site onsen which was open to the hotel guest as well as space for baggage storage in case you arrived for checking-in time or had to check out early.

Even though they had a paid laundry service within the hotel the dryers did not work as well so a lot of guests had to spend more money and time drying their clothes which meant that there was a long time between washer dryer units being available for use by others. Also guests had to come to the second floor in order to fill their water jugs, this was mainly an issue if you were located on other floors. On the floor that we were located on there was no pantry or location for water that I was aware of.

It was our second stay at SOKI Kanazawa. The onsen is still amazing and you get a cold milk coffee afterwards for free. I absolutely love the smell and the products they use here. The breakfast room is still amazing and they serve now a different set per day (this wasn't the case two years ago, so they improved it). The staff is super friendly and helpful. This time, we also got to buy two sets of the Japanese pyjamas. We wanted to purchase them two years ago, but back then, it wasn't possible. They started selling them from March (2025) onwards.

The furniture in our room was okay, but the one in my parents' room was a bit worn out.

The design of the rooms and hotel facilities in general were really great. The public bath was the best I experienced in a hotel hands down! The welcome sweet was truly delicious and the staff was very helpful and nice.

There was no room to open our 2 large luggages. While travelling Japan for 3 weeks it is hard to keep the size of our luggage to a minimum. Clothes + souvenirs take up lots of space and so the room was quickly messy due to that. Yamato delivery was not serviced on sight. But a YM office was just a few minutes walk away so it wasn’t too difficult to do anyway.

Love this hotel.. the deisgn is so zen.. breakfast is nice.. only regret is I stayed only 1 night and did not use the Onsen. I would love to stay longer if got chance. Will definitely come back again.

I had a wonderful stay at Soki Kanazawa Hotel in Japan. The hotel’s atmosphere truly captured the essence of Japanese design, with rooms that were not only comfortable but also exuded a traditional yet modern vibe. The attention to detail in the decor made the entire experience feel authentic and immersive. The surrounding area was also a highlight. It was incredibly convenient, with a variety of dining options nearby, ranging from local restaurants to casual eateries, as well as a convenience store just a short walk away. This made it easy to explore and enjoy local food without any hassle. Overall, my stay at Soki Kanazawa Hotel was an absolute pleasure. The combination of cozy, well-designed rooms, great location, and the charming atmosphere made it the perfect base for exploring Kanazawa. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a blend of tradition and convenience!

Everything’s good

Great location. Close to various key places. Enjoyed being right next to the Omichi fish market. Walkable to the train station and other main attractions. Nice clean rooms. Great value. Onsen was a big bonus. This is a no frills hotel but had thoughtful touches like snack upon arrival, nice tea options in the room, laundry on site, nice milk drinks at the onsen. I would recommend to those seeking a good value hotel in Kanazawa. Had a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant. A thoughtful menu with high quality ingredients. But it is traditionally Japanese, so I can see that it may be a little challenging for Westerners.

I think the hotel provides very good value, especially if you are staying for a short time in Kanazawa. But set realistic expectations. It is not a luxury hotel. It has minimum staff and services.

SOKI Kanazawa, a boutique hotel with a modern vibe, offered an efficient, automated check-in with staff available for assistance. While not particularly personal, it worked very well. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the onsen was large and pleasantly uncrowded. We opted to have breakfast at the Kanazawa market across the street, which had limited options, making us regret not signing up for the hotel's breakfast.

The only downside was the lack of a front desk, which meant they couldn't hold our luggage after checkout, and the available lockers were all occupied.

The location is fantastic, right next to the food markets. The rooms are lovely and look fantastic. It is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and the room was very quiet. The bathrooms were great, especially as there was no step into it.

There was no where to really put your suitcase, which made it a bit of a squeeze where there are two of you. Would recommend getting a bigger room or the twin for more room. They made to room so fancy, they forgot functionality. The washing machine is a combo, takes a long time to wash and dry. They also don’t dry well. Recommend going to a local laundromat. There is no real ramp in to the hotel, so be prepared to carry it up the front stairs. Bit of information about the buses to see the attractions would be helpful in the room too.

Cmpact yet stylish. The hotel uses neutral tones, subtle, delightful scents, and natural materials and artwork, so it felt quite zen. The onsen was beautiful and relaxing. Excellent location near the fish market and easy access to Kanazawa's various historic districts.

The room was small for our family and luggage, and became stuffy. Opening the window for circulation offered relief. Note: the traditional set breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very traditional. Perhaps ask to see the menu before ordering it the night before to avoid being surprised.

Great location. Great room. Great facilities. Tattoos in their onsen is allowed as long as you cover it with their patches ( ¥150 for a big patch). Great breakfast. Actually highly recommend to add the breakfast if you’re thinking of booking this place. This place feels like an oasis when you’re in the midst of a busy itinerary. Would stay here again.

They’ve got machines that you have to check in and check out on but the hotel reception staff will be there to guide you through it so it’s not completely unmanned. They don’t have luggage delivery services but they do recommend to visit the Yamato transport office across the road whose own staff speaks good English so having our luggage sent off to the next hotel was easy.
