We stayed for 5 nights at the hotel. Everything was perfect for our needs. The staff is always present and helpful with everything that you need. The whole facility is perfectly clean and well maintained, they are cleaning the rooms daily as well. You need to let them know if you do not want it on a daily basis. You find Infos written near the reception about the facility, like: restaurant opening times, wellness area infos, menu, etc. The room design is nice and you have various options for lighting. You get both the cozy setup or the full light option as well. I was positively surprised by the shower, there was absolutely no water leakage outside of the shower cabin. For breakfast you have plenty of options, gluten-free as well. And breakfast comes with a nice view of the mountains. Their wellness area comes with a view as well, as is perfect after a full day on the trails. There is a jacuzzi, a wet sauna and dry one as well, plus a relaxation area.

There is nothing in the negative department. Just a few remarks to have in mind: - the hotel is right on the side of the road, meaning you will have to watch out every time you go out. At the end of the stairs you have directly the road, but with enough visibility, nothing dangerous. -if you plan on dining on the hotel it might be helpful to always make a reservation. I think it helps the staff as well to be better prepared and efficient, when they know how many people to expect. We haven't had any problems without a reservation either.

Excellent breakfast. Great location, 15 minute walking path to Cortina d’Ampezzo. Ample free parking across the road from the hotel. Great view of the Dolomites. Very helpful staff. We had dinner at the hotel. It was excellent. We came here from Hall in Tirol as an overnight through the Brenner Pass, then drove to Selva Val Gardena the next morning through Passo Sella at 2,244 meters. Mountain road showed us beautiful scenery, though the road is not for the faint-hearted! Ended the day with a walking trail outside Selva Val Gardena, then back to Hall in Tirol. Would definitely stay at the hotel again. Great base to see the Dolomites.

Breakfast was brilliant, really well stocked with a nice variety of cold and cooked options. Room was a really good size, with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Plenty of parking on site, and a brief 20 minute walk to town on an off road paved path.

On the whole our experience was great, but if we were being really picky, the breakfast only opening at 0700 meant we couldn't set off as early as we would have liked for some of the local areas to beat the afternoon sun whilst hiking. Also, some evenings there was a lot of noise downstairs when things were being tidied up (we were on 1st floor) - I travel with ear plugs so it didn't bother me too much, but it was a surprise to hear what sounded like chairs being moved about at 2200 when the rest of the hotel was so quiet. These are tiny tiny issues, the hotel was generally fantastic.

This hotel is lovely under every aspect. The rooms, especially the newly decorated are charming and the beds very comfortable. Everything is absolutely spotless. The staff is very helpful and the hotel shuttle takes you to the ski slopes or city center throughout the day, making it very easy to get around even without a car. The skibus stop is also literally in front of the hotel. Breakfast is very nice and there is the option to eat in the hotel if you don’t fancy going out. Also the drinks and snacks are great for lunch or aperitif. We’ve stayed here twice and it’s definitely become our favourite hotel in Cortina!

Hotel Des Alpes was the perfect place to stay in Cortina! The hotel is beautiful and full of charm, with a fantastic location that made it easy to explore the town and surrounding area. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Our room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, with plenty of delicious options to start the day right. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed here for a week while we explored the Dolomites and could not recommend this hotel more. Everything was perfect… the food, room, views, atmosphere and of course the staff. All of the staff went out of their way to give us recommendations and help us throughout the week. The local insight on where to hike and eat was so helpful. The hotel itself is cosy and feels like a home away from home. It is immaculately clean and well maintained. The wellness centre was a beautiful way to rest after a long day of hiking too. We especially enjoyed our beautiful breakfast! The location is not central to Cortina but this was perfect for us as it was peaceful. We walked into town each day and it took about 20 minutes each way. Not an issue at all. Will absolutely be back!

Upgrades are needed, Some potential hazards - 1.Bathroom tiles are slippery when wet, 2.hallway light is off all the time (should change to motion detected - there are motion sensor LED light bulbs available), my brother came down the stairs missed the last step due to no light and bumped his head on the fire extinguisher. Light blocking curtains will be nice - the hotel sign light ps are pretty bright, bathroom fan,

We loved everything about our stay! The location was amazing and central to all the hikes and things we wanted to do. The hotel staff was lovely, everything was clean, beds were comfy, view from the room was breathtaking every morning, and complimentary breakfast was such a bonus. They have free parking right out front and wellness center you can add on for an additional cost which was so nice after a long day hiking. Don’t hesitate to book this place. We can’t wait to return :)

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff went above and beyond (especially Claudio, who gave us some great maps for some awesome hikes). Nothing was too much trouble for them. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job and were unobtrusive. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious and the view from our room was second to none. I actually teared up when we left, I loved this place so much.

You need a car to get to the main part of town.

We got the upgraded room which had a decent size. Breakfast was great with wide variety of options, the spa was well equipped. I wish it was included in the price. We had a great time. Oh and the shuttle service to thr ski loft was working fine and made our life auper easy. When we were there there was no problem with parking places. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

We were satisfied with everything.
