The hotel is very new and stylish, the cabin room is quite small but extremely cosy and comfortable. We genuinely enjoyed our stay.

Our cabin room was a little bit too warm and we didn't understand why - the radiator was cold and even with an open window somehow it did not get much cooler. Also, a minor thing that I did not like - there were coffee capsules only for one day, while we were staying for two. Finally, the communication from the hotel was excessive via messages from booking.com and email - for some reason I was advised to download an app to generate the key to open the door which, as it turns out, I didn't have to use in the end.

Lovely spacious room, comfortable pillows and bed. Nice to have a fan available, as temperatures were high in Eastbourne. I appreciate the little fridge, the water, large TV, bathroom accessories, including shampoo & conditioner, which is handy for travellers arriving to UK. Gorgeous views downstairs in bar and restaurant. Hope to visit again.

There are several flights of stairs and fire doors to negotiate. Breakfast was quite slow (20 mins and I was sole customer!) there was nothing extra such as fruit, toast, cereals etc to eat while I waited.

Eve who worked on the front desk was absolutely brilliant. I can’t even describe all the ways she accommodated us. She helped us with our bags when we arrived as we had a pram, she allowed us to store the pram downstairs (not there is no lift), she helped us with the restaurant reservation. Whatever you needed she would help. I really recommend getting a sea view. It was absolutely stunning. Nice touches such as tea and coffee in the room, and options of different milks you can ask for in reception. Big bathroom. They provided a very good quality travel cot. The restaurant food was delicious. Great baby change on the ground floor. Lovely fireplace in the lobby. They have a number you can WhatsApp if you have any queries which was very handy.

They have a policy that you have to put the “please clean my room” sign before 11 but don’t advertise this very clearly. It led to a bit of stress although in the end they very kindly sorted it out. Just something to be aware of if you are going! Or perhaps if staff see you at breakfast they can remind you of this rule/or if the “do not disturb” sign isn’t up they could just assume you want your room cleaned.

The location is beautiful, right on eastbourne beach and walking distance form the town and all the local restaurants. The room was clean, warm and bright with a TV that had everything on, Netflix etc. We had breakfast in the morning, food was great and coffee was one of the best i have had. I could see them making it with proper beans as opposed to instant, generic 'hotel' coffees you sometimes see. Can't fault Port Hotel, lovely staff, great setting and amazing views.

The location is great, right by the seaside. Parking off road, fairly cheap. The decor is modern and pleasant. The complimentary water bottles were a welcome bonus. Bed very comfortable.

The check in process could be a bit more private, the reception is located right where the restaurant is, you feel very exposed to all when you enter the lobby/restaurant. A few measures would make it more discreet, like potted plants, curtains or room dividers placed around the place.

The level of service was exceptional! Staff were friendly and welcoming, we had consistant communication from the team, including several courtesy calls in the run up to our stay. The Hotel was very clean, the room was nicely furnished and the bed pretty comfortable. It was minimalist, but charming! Standard ammenities were all included and the breakfast was really nice (I recommend the pancakes).

If i am being picky ... the blind in the bedroom was a bit of a pain and the window could have had some privacy screening added to it, or just curtains instead.

Amazing hotel - nice style. Not too many rooms therefore the staff knows you is very friendly and has good recommandations for restaurants and things to do. Great location you’re quite fast in the city center by foot. We were in room number 4 on the first floor. Everybody has to pass our door in the small staircaise to get to their room and that was unfortunately a bit loud sometimes when you wanted to sleep. Nevertheless we would come back for sure!

Loved our stay at the Port Hotel! Beautiful, modern decor throughout the hotel and in the rooms. We had a Cabin Room that was all that was available, but on a previous trip we had passed this hotel and thought it looked great and wanted to try it for our next visit. We tried the burgers for dinner, which were super delicious! Hotel is also very dog friendly :)

Really liked everything about our stay! Although the Cabin Rooms are a bit small, but as we were only there for one night it was perfect. For a longer trip this would be a bit too small.

I liked the room, the location, perfect for all nearby entertainment. Most of the staff were friendly.

The floor could have been cleaned halfway through stay. The housekeeping lady seemed a bit off with me when she had to bring water, tea bags, and toilet roll, which she had forgotten to put in room when servicing it. The fact I booked a table for Sunday roast and it wasn't put through the system so I had to go elsewhere to eat. However, we were offered a free dessert later to apologise.

Beautiful hotel with fabulous food and decor. Attention to detail superb. As a professional housekeeper I found some areas not quite A1 ie. Radiators and skirting boards. Corners on flooring. Overall a great hotel. When we return I will opt for a sea facing room as the rear ones face other buildings. Super friendly staff. Will certainly return x
