Breakfast is exceptional. Every day fresh fruits in season, scrambled eggs, ham and cheese platter, two or three types of bread and sweets. Personnel is very courteous and friendly. Our room was very spacious. It had a medium-sized refrigerator bar which fit our store bought items comfortably. It also had a small table and chairs and a desk. The shower was quite good. So was cleanliness throughout the hotel. It is so well located. Steps from the subway and a large store that sells all kinds of goods including clothing. Quite near the Costanera Center which is a large mall that is very popular and carries both cheaper goods and designer fashions.

One can tell the bathroom was remodeled some time ago. It could use some touch ups. I did not like that the sink in the bathroom is small and circular and evvery time one washes hands or face, the water splatters all over the bathroom counter and floor. The desk could have a mirror on the back wall and then it could serve as desk and vanity. This way we women can put on our makeup and fix our hair outside of the bathroom while the male counterpart can shave etc inside the bathroom. The illumination inside the room is too poor, which is annoying. This could be easily resolved by changing to brighter bulbs.

Very good location, we booked room for 2 nights, with view, Still, when arriving to the reception with late check in, they mentioned there is no available room with view, so we accepted the only variant offered. People from reception was helpful next day with changing the room with a nice view. Very good breakfast. There are restaurants nearby. Safety area to walk during the evening.

The view from the first room was interior, near air conditioning, with bad smell. We changed the room next day, but we spent some additional time on our side, we did not manage to arrive to one of the places to visit.

Note -- we stayed at this hotel twice -- 3 days on arrival from the US and then these 2 days after a trip to the Atacama desert. The hotel held some of our luggage while we were away. On our first stay we arrived quite early in the morning after a bad experience at the airport. We were very tired and knew that our room would possibly not be ready until mid afternoon. We were able to have a good breakfast (for about $10) at the hotel and then go for a walk, leaving our bags in security.) To our surprise, our room was ready when we returned -- much earlier than expected. Staff was very friendly and responsive (when we couldn't get hot water at first) though their level of English was lower than expected. The location was good -- we found the subway easily enough and used it to get around the city. The immediate neighborhood was upscale apartment buildings, not a lot of street life and not that many places to eat of any interest in the immediate area. Included breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was pleasant -- lots of natural light. It's self serve -- no table service -- not even clearing between courses or refilling coffee. Most of the other people staying at the hotel seemed to be Chilean or from other Spanish speaking countries which we liked.

Our room faced an alley -- no beauty out there whatsoever. The very limited storage space was also awkwardly placed. We had a lot of extra luggage because we were going on a cruise to Patagonia where we'd need cold weather clothes, and on a visit to the Atacama desert. We needed more space or better organized space. The bathroom had no shelf or drawer space, and just a couple of hooks for hanging.

The hotel is located in a very nice area full of restaurants, bars and shops. You can also easily reach touristic points such as the sky costanera and the cable car for the San Cristobal hill.

The hotel seems to be recently renovated but not 100%. Some of the things in the room look very old and not in good condition. Also the room 208, the one assigned to us was very noisy because of the air conditioning system next to our window.

We had a delightful stay at The Diego de Velazquez, (we actually stayed there two separate times ) Checking in from the airport we were very early, they were happy to hold our bags, and we went for a stroll and lunch. Upon our return our room was ready and we were checked in by the very nice Fernanda, she helped with many things during both our stays and was always a delight to work with. The rooms were decent, bathrooms well stocked. good AC, and clean The breakfast was very nice, different things on different days, nice fresh Chilean fruit. We used the pool/hot tub several times as well as the terrace on the 4th floor. All of the staff was quite gracious, we will be back!!!

Great location, good selection of restaurants and bars close by. The Metro is only 5 minutes on foot. Super clean room, good size, and very comfortable bed. All the staff, reception, room cleaning, doorman and breakfast team were very attentive and friendly. Reception deserves a special mention as they were particularly helpful and understanding in resolving issues after our credit cards were pickpocketed on the Metro. Good selection at breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit. Really good that they offer an early-bird 5:30 breakfast for guests going on excursions.

Super polite staff that has been very helpful. The hotel is located very close to Los Leones metro station, from where you can reach almost everything. Good breakfast. Room was super clean and reordered every day. Good internet connection.

It would have been good if there were the possibility of early check-in, but this is a very minor observation. It is quite standard that check-in starts at 3:00PM

The central location for this hotel. Proximity to restaurants, metro, money changes, supermarkets. The staff are all very friendly and professional and will try their best to assist you in making a wonderful stay. The hotel manager is also around to interact with the guests and understand their concerns. The breakfast time is sufficient (7 to 10 am) with early option starting at 5.30 am, and the breakfast choices are adequate for most guests. Generally, a well-managed hotel that attempts to provide comfortable accommodation at reasonable prices.

I was given a room on level 2 during my 1st visit and the room lacked adequate wall sockets tor use in charging mobile phones and computer use. However, I believe not all room are designed this way. Furthermore, the provision of a kettle and coffee/tea might in the room would be greatly appreciated by the guests, but I am not sure if this is a practice in South America.

The reception staff Ignacio and Dario were extremely helpful with providing information and assistance, including the loan of metro card for use. The dining staff Sergio, Francesca. Daniella & Sonja were always cheerful in their service. The rpom service petsonnel Grecia was careful in her work. Overall, a good level of service provided by the hotel team.

Nothing in particular. A use of hot water kettle would greatly enhance the facilities of the hotel.
