Check-in and check-out were very simple - I didn't need any help from staff, although their details were provided should I have had any issues. The room had everything I needed and was light and airy. The bed was comfier than I expected, the shower was good and the fridge, kettle and microwave were handy. All-round perfect for a self-sufficient visit to a new place.
It could have done with a chair, I ate my breakfast in the morning perched on the end of the bed which was a bit precarious, but that's nitpicking!

Very homely, felt welcome and Laura was really personable. Love the convenience store at the back of the pub, very useful! Having a kettle, microwave and a fridge in the room, plus fresh milk, cereals and plenty of tea and coffee was great! Homely rooms and lovely shower!
We liked everything about the place!

I was welcomed by the Publican and assisted with my luggage. I only required a single room, but was exactly what I expected for a village hotel/accommodation. Comfortable, Had tv and internet, shower/bath was lovely and warm, and was very quiet. Close to Hadrians wall, and not too far from Hexham.
was perfect for what i wanted

The staff member I dealt with was very friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of free parking outside the hotel and the wifi worked well.
The shower worked well but the cubicle was very small. The pillow was quite thin. I could have done with 2.

I loved the small village pub feel, the local people were so nice. The room was great, I had my own bathroom and toilet, couldn't ask for more. The pizza was amazing!
The only thing is, if you are walking, it's far from anywhere, otherwise perfect if you have a car...

Homely pub with friendly host and great service. Very helpful and provided us with juice, cereal and yoghurt for breakfast which we appreciated. Fish and chip shop next door was handy for dinner. Nice, quiet location.
Quite a few stairs to carry bags up, but it didn't worry us.

The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have the fridge in the room so I didn't have to get up for breakfast and could eat in my own time, plus store my own food. Shower was excellent and the room was well appointed. Minimal noise from the pub downstairs and I slept well.
Most of the things that weren't quite ideal were down to the style and age of the building - such as not have a window that opened and the stairs being quite steep. I would give the feedback that spare toilet rolls should be kept in the room (only half a roll in there when I arrived) as the place wasn't always staffed so asking for more could have been awkward if I'd run out when the pub downstairs wasn't open.

Breakfast was provided continental style. Very generous portions. I was poorly the day we were due to leave & we were given an extension on our checkout time. Will recommend this place to everyone. Great & friendly staff.
Nothing 😀

The double room that I booked was nice and clean and had a lovely, cosy and homely feel to it, down to the beautiful decor. The ensuite bathroom was clean with a good working shower and lots of hot water. I also enjoyed the extra fridge and microwave facilities. The host was very friendly and accommodating and ensured that I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I enjoyed a very peaceful rest at this place.
Everything was ok
