we liked everything! how clean it was, it was all well maintained, the bed was comfortable, everything was well stocked and refreshed on a daily basis. it was so quiet at the property. this really was the best place we've ever stayed at! breakfast was scrumptious, the food is of a high standard and the service we received was impeccable The owners are running this B&B like a well oiled machine, but then like a Rolls Royce. (also, Kirsty makes excellent brownies and an even better lemon drizzle cake,which are complementary!!!!!!!!) The other good thing is the location, not only is it so quiet and peaceful there, it is also perfect for trips in Devon, Cornwall and the moors. Beaches are nearby, some nice towns are not too far either. The owners will also guide you in the right direction, giving you idea's for trips, which is really helpful. i have to really point out that we have used quite a few B&B's over the years and we always worry what we might find, there is always something not right and trust me when i say, we have had some awful experiences. BUT....i can't fault this place, it is amazing how nice it is to have stayed here, i have no words,really. We felt sad that we had to leave after 3 days and if i ever go to the west country, i will be staying here again!

The property and its surroundings are idyllic. The lake in the grounds was an unexpected bonus for the oh. We loved the idea of an honesty bar, and homemade cake on offer when wanted. The room was immaculate and comfortable with all necessary extras. Breakfast was made with all local produce , including bacon , sausages and eggs from the pigs and chicken on the property. The property location is great if you want to visit North Cornwall or Devon We felt all our needs were met and will definitely be back to stay.

Farmhouse set within a very quiet and peaceful countryside. On entering the premises it immediately made you feel at home both in decor and the warm welcome by host Neil and Kirsty. The room is impeccably clean and well catered for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Good selection of breakfast. Very helpful, friendly and accommodating host. A highly recommended farm stay.

Nothing to fault

Neil & Kirsty have thought of everything to make your stay perfect! We loved everything about the place and the people; the breakfast is amazing, the rooms are clean, comfortable and very well equipped, there is plenty of space for guests and they share their outdoor space with the guests too. We really enjoyed the garden area, the lake and of course visiting with the pigs and chickens. I absolutely loved their ethics too; rescue chickens produce your breakfast eggs every morning and a couple of well looked after pigs will supply your sausages and bacon. No plastic waste in the rooms either, as a communal fridge keeps a bottle of milk for your tea and water comes in a glass bottle. Was lovely to meet you both, thank you for taking care of us and making us feel at home x

Kirsty and Neil very good hosts, made us very welcome, Very good breakfast, good selection of foods, Comfortable lounge for guests to use, Quiet countryside location, liked the idea of an honesty fridge with wine, beers and snacks for visitors use. A really good shower in the on suite, and fresh towels each morning. And a bonus of chickens, pigs. and a fishing lake in the garden, Good base to explore the area from.

Fabulous quiet location. Warm welcome. So comfortable, relaxing and clean. Perfect hosts, such a varied selection for breakfast. Kirsty is a brilliant baker, Neil is so knowledgeable about places to visit. Amazing view from our room, pigs and chickens outside, a lake and lovely walk. Perfect.

BREAKFAST was fantastic fabulous, if you wanted something else not on the menu they'd get it for you, Fabulous farm guest house very well looked after, very friendly people.

The only thing that could be made better is the road in towards the house, but its not the fault of the residents that live there. It was just very pot holey and bumpy.

The hosts were very helpful, warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until the time of our departure. The whole accommodation was impeccable clean throughout and stands in very quiet countryside with amazing distant views. The breakfasts kept is full throughout the day needing only a light meal to see us through the day. We particularly liked the honesty box for all the snacks and any drinks consumed. Lots of lovely little touches made for a very enjoyable stay.

There is nothing to dislike.

The location is rural and was quiet and peaceful with plenty of outdoor space to sit or walk. We found the breakfast to be excellent with a large selection of choice, and they hens that roamed around the field supplied eggs for breakfast. The hosts were happy to meet all of our requirements. They were always available if we needed any help or advice.

I do not think there was anything I could find fault with or room for improvement the hosts had put a lot of thought and effort into making their guests feel at home and went to any length to help us with advice on places to go or eat.

It was in a very quiet location. Very clean accommodation. Firm, comfortable large bed. The most powerful shower I’ve ever experienced! The hosts were very knowledgeable about the whole of Devon and made suggestions about where to eat. Lemon drizzle cake or brownies were provided on arrival in the guest lounge. An amazing choice for breakfast, including a freshly cooked full English! We were made to feel very welcome.
