I was positively surprised by this hotel. The rooms were spacious, and the bathroom had plenty of space as well. The air conditioner kept our room at the desired temperature, and everything was clean and well-maintained. There are good connections to Dubrovnik (only a few minutes away and inexpensive!). The service was very hospitable—above and beyond what we expected. We had to leave before breakfast due to an early flight, so the staff prepared lunch boxes for us. Amazing! The restaurant has a lovely terrace where you can watch birds, fish, and enjoy the mountain scenery. A perfect way to end the day and relax. Definetly worth to visit again. Regards, Team Finland

The location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s close enough to Dubrovnik Old Town which can be easily reached by bus but it sits next to the most beautiful river and landscapes that it is hardly necessary to leave the immediate area of the hotel. There is a lovely terrace to spend time in the evening in fresh air. The hotel restaurant serves great food and is located across the road just by the river which gives it a great ambience.

We were disappointed to find a badly soiled blanket in our room. This was replaced after a little hesitation by one of the staff. The soiled blanket should never have been in the room in the first place and then it should have been replaced without question or hesitation. This was a brief but regrettable event.

Staying in Dubrovnik is expensive and hard if you have a car. That’s why I opted for a hotel out of town where I could easily park and get around. There is a bus line that leads directly to the old town, and it runs every 10 minutes, so although far away it is quite convenient. The room is quite comfortable and modern. The staff were always helpful, particularly with getting into town. The hotel has a great restaurant.

There are a few issues that didn’t detract really for me. First when I got into the room there was a strong disinfectant smell (I think that’s what it was). It went away by the second day, but it was a bit odd. There is no elevator, but all rooms are up only one flight of a stairs. There are no other restaurants close by, so you’ll need a car or bus ticket to try somewhere else for dinner.

The location was outside Dubrovnik city and on the water. In fact, adjacent the yacht squadron a little way down the road. The regular 6min bus service is 150m from the hotel. Dubrovnik city is 10-15mins away and The Old City approx. 20mins. The Old City is a ‘tourist magnet’ and we are glad we did not stay in accommodation there. It is very busy and relatively noisy at the best of times. The ladies at Hotel Vimbula were gracious and helpful in all respects. The meals by the river undercover are also reasonable. We liked the fact that there is a p/up and drop-down service for laundry - a real time saving. For 20 Euros our washing was sent and returned in a professional fashion the next day.

There was very little not to like about the location, staff and facilities. The rooms are air-conditioned, with a change of linen every 2nd day. If I had to pick something less convenient, it would be the fact that there is no lift for luggage to the upper floors.

The hotel is located next to the canal, breakfast is served right next to the water with the ducks swimming next to you! The bed was really comfortable with excellent mattress and pillows. You can have any type of coffee you like with breakfast (there is an automatic coffee machine), which is not common as most hotels offer only filter coffee. We asked for eggs for breakfast and they satisfied our request promptly. There was a big, shared, veranda in front of the rooms which made our stay more pleasant.

The room was not spacious enough for a pleasant, more than one night, stay. Smiling to the quests seems a little difficult to do.....

The three-person room was unexpectedly spacious. The beds were comfortable, different pillows were waiting in the closet (there was one for everyone who wanted it). The hotel was quiet and pleasant. Reception and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant (across the street, by the river). The food was very tasty. For breakfast, different kinds of egg dishes were offered, according to the guest's wishes, in addition to warm bread, pancakes, etc. We were very satisfied with our visit.

We had two visits to Dubrovnik on our trip. The first we stayed inside the city walls. The second in this delightful hotel. In hindsight we should have stayed here both times. It’s in a lovely setting very close to the old city, has its own good quality restaurant but there’s another further down the river and one in the marina. A supermarket is also close so you have everything you need. We did some nice walks around the river and bay. The staff were super helpful. And it’s priced well!

Lovely location, next to the water and relaxing watching the boats go by. Komolac itself was a very pleasant place, for example a wander around the marina.. The meals at the Hotel Vimbula-Komolac and the service were great. A very clean property throughout; effective A/C available if required. The hotel is ideally located to use local, well-priced bus services to access the Old Town in Dubrovnik. All members of staff we met could not have been more helpful.

Little hotel in a very nice location (on a river, outside the city’s chaos but the city is easily reachable by a 20 minutes bus ride- station close to hotel). Nice terrace on the river for breakfast or dinner (indoor possible as well). Very nice staff

The restaurant has a rather limited choice of dishes (could be improved/expanded), however what we ordered was good Rooms’ furniture a bit old (but functional)

We liked the quiet location, getting to the old city was easy 15 minutes drive either with a car (parking is a challenge) or bus (included in the Dubrovnik Pass). Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite satisfactory. AC was good. Beds comfortable. Free parking available.

better maintenance needed in the shower. It cost more than I'd expect for a 3-star hotel, but Dubrovnik prices are expensive all around
