Excellent location, helpful reception staff, clean, modern interior - I found it great that on the first day the receptionist got a jug of fresh milk for making my tea in the bedroom. They also explained what we could do despite the main attractions being closed. Good breakfast apart from the fresh fruit offering only being okay. Good coffee and tea in the room.

We had three breakfasts there and the person who was in charge of the first breakfast was polite but not at all welcoming and made us feel uncomfortable. At the second breakfast the person was probably fairly young but she was very welcoming and helpful. The third breakfast had someone who appeared to be very experienced but again was polite but not particularly welcoming or attentive to us. In the bedroom, there were not enough places to hang our towels easily, especially so they could air out. My husband found it a bit noisy having a room so close to the road - I thought it was fine as long as the windows were shut which we did anyway because of the air conditioning.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the centre of old town, and has a lovely view out the window. The receptionist - Rafaella, was the most amazing and helpful person. She recommended restaurants and made reservations for us, helped us with directions, assisted us in many ways. The breakfast was superb. We overate every morning, but we couldn't help ourselves. The ability to order an espresso (or whatever) and have it delivered with a smile was an additional bonus. The room was comfortable and clean.

A great base for exploring Sintra! We planned to start our days early, so I specifically chose a hotel with onsite breakfast buffet instead of a B&B or apartment. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The pastries were great (the egg tarts were served hot and delicious), and there were also hot breakfast items like eggs, sausage, and bacon. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Overall, a great stay!

One small note: breakfast starts at 8:00, which feels a bit late for a tourist town, especially since most attractions open at 9:30. It would be more convenient if breakfast started earlier. (For example, if you want to reach Pena Palace for their first slot at 9:30, you’d need to leave around 8:15-8:30 as the road is one-way.) That said, we still managed to enjoy breakfast before heading out at 8:30 both days.

Location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre of the old town. We drove to Sintra and took up the private car park offer that is just a short walk away. Not only were our cars secure, on departure day the staff will collect the car and park it near by the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, especially Ella on the day of check in who gave us lots of information and great recommendations for eating out and extra things to do. Take her up in it. The rooms were clean, well equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules, still and sparkling water and a free mini bar, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the little reading room where you find a Nespresso coffee machine with a good selection of capsules and even some mini pastries, a lovely touch.

Can't fault anything

Location is in the heart of the old town near all the bars and restaurants. There is limited parking outside the hotel for unloading and checking in but they offer parking about 10 minutes walk away and I would advise anyone with a car to take it. Sinatra get very, very busy during the day in the tourist season. On departure the staff will collect your car for you in the early morning and park it nearby. Take them up on their offer. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly but a special mention to Rafaela (Ella) who was exceptional in her assistance and local knowledge. Many thanks Ella.

There was nothing to fault about the hotel. In general Sinatra wouldn’t be my choice as a base to explore the wider area, two to three nights would be plenty. It gets extremely busy between 10am and 4pm but much quieter and more relaxed during the evening.

I recently spent one night at this hotel, and it was a delightful experience. The staff made a great impression from the moment I arrived, offering a warm welcome and ensuring I had everything I needed for my stay. The hotel is in a prime Sintra location, which was perfect for my short visit. The room was cosy and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat after a busy day. Even though my stay was brief, I could tell this hotel puts a lot of effort into making their guests feel at home. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to rest, even if just for one night.

The room was comfortable enough, a little dated with the orange carpet. The front staff was helpful and quite nice. Especially Ella. We didn’t have water the first hours of our stay but that is not the hotel’s fault.

The internet DID NOT work at all during our stay. We need to work while on vacation. I think this a a big problem that the hotel need to address since we were not the only one having problems. The breakfast and the food in general was awful. The wait staff in the dining area was not helpful or friendly. The people next to us couldn’t get salt and pepper when requested. Do not order the cod.

My husband and I stayed at the Sintra Boutique Hotel for one night while seeing the sights of Sintra. The front desk staff were very good and informative. It was walkable from Sintra Train station. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast was great. They held our luggage when we arrived in the morning and when we came back to the hotel in the afternoon our room was ready and our luggage in our room. It is very close to the historic downtown area, with shops and restaurants.

Everything was great.

Staff were exceptional. Their friendliness and helpfulness were gold standard. The room was also very clean, with a mini fridge containing complementary water and canned drinks. The hotel's location was prime and centre in the historic centre, and directly around the corner (30 second walk) from the 434 bus stop, which circuits around all the main sight-seeing attractions in Sintra.

The breakfast was slightly disappointing and there was not a massive selection of foods. Overall 3/5.

The front desk hosts as they were fabulous...as well as the breakfast and location...walkable to many things, including the bus stop!

Telephone had static. We had to leave our international electric adapter behind as it got stuck in the wall outlet and no one could get it out. Apparently, it's child proof. A notice should be placed in rooms. We had no issues elsewhere.
