Abigail's has a great reputation with almost legendary status for their breakfast's. It was why we chose to stay, for the first time, at this thirty room boutique hotel. I expected to be happy with our choice, I expected the breakfasts to be very good, the rooms to be comfortable and clean, the staff to be friendly and efficient. What I did not expect was virtual perfection in every aspect of Abigail's. It is simply an outstanding on every aspect you may wish to judge. A very solid five out of five.

Just a bit of caution about the parking lot, it is quite small with tight spaces. There are no elevators so you need to be mobile enough to handle stairs.

We were in the Foxglove room for 4 nights, which was very comfortable with a huge bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. For breakfasts were filling and delicious. They made modifications to accommodate our dietary (vegan) restrictions, as well. The location is a couple of blocks from downtown Victoria in a quiet residential neighborhood.

One minor thing. Some of the breakfast servers didn't seem to know what "vegan" means in terms of eating, so we explained that it means not eating animal products or anything made with animal products, including dairy (cow's milk, butter, yogurt, cheese) and eggs. However, they were very accommodating after we explained it to them.

The service and attention to detail at Abigail’s Hotel were on another level. As soon as I walked into our room, I saw the sweet birthday card, complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries and cookies waiting on the bed. It was such a nice touch to celebrate my birthday during our stay. Some other things that stood out to me were the flower petals in the washroom, the eco-friendly refillable shower containers (with the most amazing smelling shower gel), the complimentary toiletries, the library with board games (where you can also purchase beverages) and the room near the lobby which served complimentary happy hour. They even add the weather forecast to the breakfast menu each morning! Speaking of which, breakfast was delicious! Definitely gourmet and the fact that it was multiple courses was just awesome. Kept us filled for hours. The staff were so friendly and helpful, too. It was nice of them to point out the hotel’s facilities and allow us to store our luggage after check-out. Everything about this stay was simply perfect. I think every business should take some notes from Abigail’s Hotel. There’s a reason they’re number one on TripAdvisor’s Best of the Best Hotels in Canada.

10/10 I honestly cannot think of anything negative to write. Abigail’s is perfect for a boutique hotel.

I’m blown away with the beauty, hospitality, attention to every detail! From the sparkling silverware and hardware to buttery soft luxurious sheets, this place is just incredible! It feels as if even every inch is consistently maintained, and kept in perfect shape. I mean- perfect! I can only imagine the hard work that goes into everything! The place is full of nostalgic features, like a welcome card, and many, many extras that surprise and touch your heart! The value is very good as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Oh, no! Loved everything!

The staff were exceptionally customer service oriented - polite, professional, and very helpful. The room was a good size and the king sized bed was most comfortable. In fact, we really liked the sheets and asked where you got them because they were that nice and comfortable to sleep on. The breakfast exceeded expectations with a few choices on the menu - all of them good - while our server (I'm sorry I don't recall her name) was very pleasant. We were greeted at the door and led into the restaurant by, I presume, the maitre d', who welcomed us and instantly made us feel comfortable.

When the time comes and the toilets need to be changed, it would be helpful to purchase the higher, low flush ones.

Incredible hospitality! The accommodations were beautiful, the room was spacious and so cozy! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the nights were quiet. The breakfast was tasty and there were lovely areas in which to sit and relax outside of our room. The fireplace was wonderful, and they even served a delicious snack in the evening. And the location! We walked into downtown in less than 10 minutes, passing a cathedral less than a block away. It doesn’t get better than this.

I can’t complain about anything, we were delighted. The only thing I can think of is it would have been nice to have some high-protein, low sugar options for breakfast, and the option for decaf coffee in the evenings.

The staff was amazing. Every single person went out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. Sit down with different choices each day and you got to reserve your time. It was excellent. They had lots of special touches like cookies upon arrival, snacks in the afternoon, wine available in the “library “ for a small fee. They had everything you needed available in the room also. The decor was beautiful also.

It is not very accessible if you have mobility issues. They have some accessible rooms but you need to be sure and book those directly with the hotel. The person who checked us in did carry out luggage up the stairs for us. Again, the people were great! The jetted tube was nice but if you wanted a shower it is very tall and difficult to get in and out of. They did supply grab bars per request which helped. My husband felt the chairs were not comfortable and there was not good lighting if you wanted to sit and read in your room at night.

Absolutely everything. This hotel is managed perfectly and the guests are treated impeccably. It was a perfect location to access everything we needed within Victoria and it was simple to get out of the city and into the forest. If I were in Victoria, I would stay nowhere else.

There is nothing to not like about the hotel itself. The city of Victoria really needs to do something about its fentanyl and meth problems. There are homeless people folded over on fent virtually everywhere you walk in the city. It is really depressing and enough that I will most likely never return. I cannot fault the hotel for this, but it is a reality that visitors should be made aware.

The staff is very attentive and engaged. Breakfasts were lovely in presentation, and were very good. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It's at the edge of a neighborhood, we slept with the windows open and were not bothered by noise overnight. It was quiet for us! It was very close to lots of things of interest to us. We actually walked from the hotel with our bags to the fast ferry dock to go to Seattle.

I can not think of a thing they could have done better. It was a very nice experience to stay there.

Just a few blocks from Victoria's harbor area, the location of this hotel can't be beat. We stayed in one of the rooms in the main building. The beds were amazingly comfy. Our room was decorated in a manner that matched the ambiance of the hotel. The full breakfast was delicious and varied from day to day. We'd definitely stay here again should we find ourselves in Victoria. Note: Instead of calling it a "hotel", Abigail's felt more like a lovely "inn" because of the architecture, decor, amazing breakfast, 24-hr coffee/tea availability, afternoon snacks, etc..
