Location is everything for this resort. Cross the street and you are in the Heavenly Village and downtown. Lots of restaurants, cafes for dining and a variety of shoppes to stroll through. The gondola is right there as well if you are visiting during the Winter season. Several areas close by for walking and biking plus the Lake activities and sand beaches to stroll. This resort was safe and secure and easy to walk about for morning breakfast, lounging by the pool or enjoying the fire pit. Lastly, the beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were exceptionally clean.

I would say there is a need for a refresh on some of the room furnishings. Our two bedroom suite was slightly dated. Also the building hallways needed some upkeep.

We like location and pool area. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is ok too .

Parking! Now you have to pay for parking. $20 per night. But this parking lot is not safe . It’s not valet parking, it’s like open public parking that’s why we don’t know why 1 year ago this parking was free but now you have to pay . For what? Next time we’ll be think should we stay here again or better to stay in Marriot with valet and secure parking .

Since Forest Suites is at Heavenly Village it is perfect for a ski vacation. the property is older but it is very clean, convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were there to visit the lake areas so it was necessary to drive out of town which takes a few minutes. The resort was great as far as location to restaurants, shops and all winter activities. It is not quite as close to beaches and water activities but overall since it was a good value and the room was spacious and staff friendly, it was a very pleasant stay even though we had to drive a bit to reach the beach and water activities.

Great location. Full enjoyable breakfast. Room is a bit dated but it looks like they are in the process of updating

Good location - walking distance to the Heavenly resort area (across street) and the casinos (1/2 mi) Suite rooms are spacious and in great condition, spotlessly clean, good amenities in the rooms, including full kitchen Really appreciated the attractive landscaping with lawns, plantings and tall pine trees all around, two pools/hot tubs Overall the hotel is very well maintained, staff are very friendly and helpful Good parking, although $20 per day is charged - this should be included in the room price Breakfast was OK - typical for American 3 star hotel chains.

Nothing - would stay again

It was our first time staying at Forest Suites Resort at the Heavenly Village and we’ll definitely be back! Pros: Perfect spot for our family of six. Loved the daily free breakfast, the location is awesome—just a short walk to the village—and the staff were friendly.

Cons: We were lucky to get a ground floor room near the pool, which was super convenient. First night was great, but the second night wasn’t so fun—we were all wiped from snowboarding and couldn’t sleep because of nonstop footsteps from the room above late into the night. The bed was also a bit uncomfortable, hopefully that’s something they can improve.

Great location, updated suite with nice kitchen and basic nonstick cookware (bring your own if you’re picky), utensils, and dishes. Sofa bed was pretty comfortable, bedroom bed was fine. Parking is very close to rooms. Breakfast is fine, and the hotel hosts cute events in the evening. Front desk is kind and helpful.

A little loud. Musty smell especially when heater is on. Sheets on bed would get rumbled underneath us as well, which wasn’t comfortable. Jacuzzi wasn’t particularly hot on the day we used it. Parking is an additional cost, and you can only have one car for a one bedroom suite and two cars for a two bedroom suite, so plan accordingly. But, you have parking until 4 pm the day of check out, which is very flexible.

We are regulars and come up from Sacramento at least once a year. We always stay at Forrest Inn and Suites and stay in the 2 bedroom suites. Having the fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms is essential for us. The location is excellent and it allows easy walking distance to the Heavenly Village shopping and entertaining district. The game room is a plus for my adult daughter.

No complaints

Staff is terrific; helpful and friendly. The rooms while dated are very clean and comfortable. Little touches like wine days and ice cream were nice also. Breakfast is mediocre but staff is good at refilling eggs, waffles and generally hot foods. We had a little problem with closing the entry door but was quickly attended too. Appreciate that were able to get a room we requested as we have stayed here annually for a number of years.

- Spacious accommodation - we booked two 2-bedroom suites and that gave our group of 12 enough room to spread out and yet have enough common space to interact. - Great location. This is in the thick of the main shopping drag of Lake Tahoe and we had easy accessibility to shopping and food close by. - The breakfast was decent. Nothing amazing but better than the standard American hotel breakfast.

- The hotel is dated and we were initially a little disappointed looking at the outside of the hotel. The rooms themselves are decent, spacious and functional. We didn't really have any issues.
