Location is perfect to visit Plitvice Lakes especially if you are using public transportation (which is what I did getting to Plitvitce from Zagreb; bus stops are near hotel and there are plenty of signs around directing you to hotel; there are also signs on overpass bridge). A superb bonus for staying at this hotel is that your one day ticket can be extended for a second day to visit Plitvice lakes (saving 25 euros!). Entry to the lakes (entrance #2) is within 3 min walk. I stayed in the 300-range room building and it was exceptionally quiet (I'm a super light sleeper, so this was an enormous plus for me); granted the busy tourist season hasn't started yet. My room was very clean, bedlinen pristine white, beds comfortable, towels soft and super clean. Yes, it's not a new hotel, but really nothing to complaint about as it meets all the basic needs. Since I stayed at the end of May, breakfast was served in Hotel Plitvice, which is less than 1 min away on foot, and it was pleasant to get some fresh air into my lungs before breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast had various options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. A great selection of local deserts as well. I find this hotel to be a really great deal if you want to visit Plitvice lakes without relying on a private or rental car. Staff is fabulous and multilingual--switching between Croatian, English, German (and sometimes Italian) within a blink of an eye! Amazing.

We booked this hotel, mainly for the location. It is well placed for quick and easy access to Entrance 2 of the National Park. Staff were friendly and helpful and provided details about dining options as well as information about entrance tickets for the National Park. Our room was lakeside with a small balcony with room for 2 people to sit out. It was possible to hear the waterfalls in the distance. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little on the small side. Car parking was available close by to the hotel entrance.

The room was quite small with limited room to move around. There is no restaurant in the hotel so breakfast is only available in the next hotel about 100m away. Evening meals are only available in a further hotel, about 5 - 7 mins walk away. This was not an issue for us as the weather was warm and dry but could be a bit of a nuisance in poor weather.

Beautifully looked after hotel. There are 3 hotels next to each other, ranging in price. They were all built in the 1960’s and retain their original features, which are lovingly looked after. Think big picture windows, natural light and Ercol type furnishings in the communal areas. The Hotel Bellevue doesn’t have it’s own restaurant or bar, but a good breakfast buffet is served at the hotel next door (2 mins away). We ate at the third hotel in the evening (less than a 5 minute walk) which had both a buffet and an a la carte restaurant. The food was good. The rooms are basic and small, but clean and cared for The staff are absolutely lovely. They were really helpful booking tables for dinner etc and were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is perfectly placed for the lakes.

There are lots of comments about the rooms being small, dated etc. This is not a complaint at all, because the room was perfectly adequate and well looked after, but people should be aware of what they are booking.

- Breakfast only at the hotel across (2 minute walk), but so many options, especially the hot section with sausages and eggs. - Rooms facing the park are in most cases built for three people yet are cheaper than those with the balcony, which to our knowledge has only two beds. Consider yourselves lucky if you book for two people. - You can buy your park pass and extend it until your check in date at the reception. This can actually end out costing about the same as staying outside the park but buying a two day pass + parking your vehicle. - They are very helpful in printing my train ticket out of Zagreb. - There is an ATM machine next to the entrance that takes out Euros.

- The hotel design takes you back to the 90s. In the room it is especially obvious in the bathrooms with setting of the hot water (cold tap + hot tap). Others may see it as outdated, although we didn't actually find it that bad -- that's just how it works back then at many homes. - No elevators, but okay because there are only two floors.

Great location, exceptionally clean, and staff who went above and beyond to be friendly, kind and helpful. We made use of the free shuttle service and the ticket extension service for the Park. The breakfast was varied and good. Our only criticism would be that the room was a little tired and basic but for a one night stay it didn’t bother us. By way of examples, there was no kettle and the hair dryer was very low quality, and the power in the shower also needs to be addressed - as soon as it was turned on, water sprayed rather crazily across the room. On balance, we would stay again, but perhaps only for one night.

The hotel and the room were just outstanding!!! It is a magical place in the forest beauty & clean with all the facilities. Just 5 min walking from the entrance 2 of the Natural Park of Plitvicka-Jezera. The rooms are very quiet, the breakfast has nice options. I had a magical stay in the forest!

I did like everything. Except the approach of a breakfast attendant that came to my table to say that I could not take tea bags with me, I could just consume there. Because I had 2 tea bags in the table, and I was just one person he assumed that I was taking it for latte. But tea and fruit is the only thing that I take for breakfast, so I do drink 2 to 4 tea bags. That was unpleasant, as there were no restrictions mention in any place about what could or couldn´t a guest eats and drink at breakfast. And there was a enormous variety of food and drink that all the guests could eat and drink in the quantities the want. So that approach was very indelicate. But all the rest was just perfect!

The location is excellent, close to entrance 2, the hotel offered park ticket extension. One thing should notice there is NO air-con in the room, if you care about sustainability, I think this is your choice. I stayed in the day with 38°C, it's a hard time after check-in, but the thing is that you'll soon go to the park won't stay in the room which is fine, when you come back after dinner, the room is cool enough t have good sleep

A bit small for the room, not really sound-proof, can hear what the neighbours say. if you come earlier to check-in for relax in the room during day time (in summer), need to think about it as there's NO air-con in the room, even the lobby has NO air-con too

Hotel is really close to the National Park entrance. Staff was really helpful. A car ride to some restaurants can be asked at the front desk, which makes getting good food easy. The breakfast, event hough served on the neighbor hotel was really complete, food was good and with many different options.

The room was really small and we were pretty unlucky to go on our hike on a rainy day, so afterwards it was hard to get our clothes dry as everything was wet, and there were no many places to hang our wet clothes. The shower's would need some time to drain the water, so we needed to stop several times in order to avoid flooding the bathrooms floor.

it’s right beside Entrance 2 and within 10 minutes of bus stops both too and from Zagreb. The staff were welcoming and did their best to answer my many questions. Room was spotlessly clean and the balcony had a view over the park. shower pressure was awesome.

For whatever reason there is no catering in the hotel so guests have to go to the Plitvice a couple of minutes away for breakfast. I found out by accident that that hotel also has a coffee shop and bar open until 11pm …. a sign to that effect could be posted at reception. A few vending machines inside the Bellevue would be nice for snacks and soft drinks.

Location was excellent. Amenities were good. Short walk to the breakfast dining area at the nearby hotel was excellent. Staff was very informative and interactive. They were able to extend entrance to the Park an additional day. We had an exceptional dining experience at a new restaurant Antonio's which should definitely be added to their list of recommendations. It is necessary to drive to (5 minutes)but totally worth it!

Expected it to be a newer facility.
