Niamh welcomed us as we arrived, and was very friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and big and comfortable enough for the 4 of us. The children enjoyed playing pool and playing on the swing in the garden. The cooked breakfast was lovely, and there was a great range of cereals, yoghurt and we particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad. Location is great, not too far from town.

The ensuite is small so steams up quickly, even with the window open. Not a criticism as such, just a comment!

The lady who owns the hotel is the manager, she is a smart and educated person and she is very generous as she made our stay very comfortable, and she went beyond that with her generosity to us when I wanted to ask for a taxi she said to me (I am going and I will take you on my way) and indeed she took us with her in her car to our destination. Thank you very much indeed, we appreciate it

The host Niamh was just the perfect balance of helpful and friendly without being too intrusive. The breakfast was very good and from the moment you entered you were confident that everything was going to be alright because the guest house was spotless. I loved the really powerful shower( better than my own😁)

Drove down from Derry stayed here as it was close to GAA grounds that we had a game at. Owners where lovely and friendly. Nice wee friendly bar just two mins up the road, they had great facilities including darts board that we all had use off and not forgetting the 1st class breakfast! Unreal! Thank you very much for a great stay and making us feel so welcome.

Can’t fault a single thing.

Location was great. Ronan and Niamh were sp nice and accommodating helped us with transport to a wedding reception we were attending. Breakfast choices were great and so hot when we received sane. I would definitely stay at this premises again it was excellent.

We liked everything and had no complaints about anything.

As we had to leave the property early on the morning that we departed, the host allowed us to come down to breakfast a little early than normal serving times, which was appreciated

Non vegetarian breakfast was nice. Beds comfy and very clean and quiet. The Hodson Bay very close and only a short drive to Athlone town. Hostess was very friendly and chatty.

Would have liked more vegetarian options such as vegetarian bacon, sausages, hash brown or fried potatoes, mushrooms.

Excellent easy to reach location, room was spacious and well maintained with little extras that I did not expect. Breakfast in the morning was top level, fresh and made to order. Host very nice and accommodating lady.

The booking.com direction link took me to the wrong address. This was very frustrating after a long journey to add this hassle and extra time. This needs to be corrected!

We stayed in the Alverna houses B&B for a wedding, and i have to say it was just so welcoming from the beautiful rooms to a gorgeous breakfast. It was so clean and the ower was so nice and very friendly. I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone.
