Joe and Jackie were amazing hosts! They let us borrow two umbrellas and gave us a charger we were missing for my daughter’s headphones. They also helped make dinner reservations at Fallons Bar in nearby Shannonbridge and then confirmed a band playing in the Killen’s Pub next door to that so we got an authentic Irish experience! We stayed here because it’s halfway between the Cliffs of Moher and Dublin. We did Dublin one day and the Cliffs another. Worked perfect for us. And we even visited Clonmacnoise that is right next door which was great. Also, the breakfast was great and they were VERY flexible on what time to have breakfast ready for us which was perfect. Highly recommended!

A very warm welcome from our host with plenty of information about the local area and activities. Room large with equally roomy ensuite shower room and all facilities as described. The breakfast is excellent with full Irish or hot options freshly cooked by our host who was attentive but discrete throughout. Being in a rural area a car is essential for ease of getting about. The accommodation is very close to the Clonmacnoise monastic site which is very much worth visiting, as is the little town of Shannonbridge. There is seating on the rear patio which is a nice spot to chill out with a drink or to plan the next excursion.

The rural road adjoining the property has no pavements, so although walkable to the monastic site, it is not recommended, as daytime traffic transporting site visitors could be problematic. However, road is very quiet after site visiting hours. The monastic site has ample parking.

Real traditional Irish B&B. Not fancy to look at sure but such hospitality! Nothing too much trouble for the hosts who's love of hosting is infectious. Big Irish breaky of course. Warm cosy rooms. Minutes from clonmacnoise monastery, 20 min into shannonbridge for dinner and music and a pint.

Joe was SO Accommodating to us. He had somewhere to store our wet kit, he had cover for the bikes overnight, he worked around our schedule. The breakfasts were unbelievable, with every detail made to our liking. The rooms were very clean with fresh towels and toiletries. We could not have asked for more, but if we did I’m sure Joe would’ve done whatever he could have.

Nothing.

The hosts are very friendly, helpful and gave us a warm welcome. The rooms were very clean and had individual bathrooms. There was plenty of space, also for parking. The breakfast was complete and delicious. A very good location to explore the area. We also drove to the west coast around Galway and Connemara. Thank you for the nice stay!

Finest hospitality, warm welcome, very kind couple, absolutely great breakfast, you immediately feel the warmth of being cared for, wonderfully calm surroundings, perfect for visiting the monastery, Thanks so much to our hosts! We felt deeply well in this lovely, so very Irish location near Shannon River.

Everthing was fine.

Joe was like our long lost friend in Ireland. He had thought of every little amenity one might need to be at home. He made breakfast a lovely experience. Unlike our hotels, our stay was very personal since Joe was so personable!!!!

Not a thing.

Excellent cooked Irish full breakfast. A very friendly and hospitable couple keen to share their home and neighbourhood.

Could have been useful to have a square pin/2 point round pin adapter for shavers, toothbrushes etc.

Beautiful, serene countryside setting. Nice room, comfy beds, large ensuite. Great television. The best Irish breakfast! Joe and Jackie wonderful. Shannonbridge a wee drive but good restaurant and very pretty

Would have come more prepared with some snacks, drinks etc if we knew how far to services.

We stayed at the Clonmacnoise B&B for 5 nights. Joe and Jackie are exceedingly gracious hosts who folded us into their family. Breakfast was unbelievable! "A full Irish breakfast" is a meal fit for a King! We had to leave at 4am to get to the Dublin Airport. Joe insisted on getting up to make us coffee and to cook breakfast so that we wouldn't have to stop along the way- so, so kind. Our stay was a delight from start to finish!

No negatives. I missed my own bed, but who doesn't?
