The location.

The staff at dinner on the first night were slow with the service. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. My wife had to go up twice to remind them, but we still had a wait. When the drinks eventually came out. One of those drinks had been forgotten. The room we stayed it was meant to have a nespresso machine, but it wasn't there. My wife rang the reception and was told it would be up. We stayed in room 203 for two days, and in spite of her asking, it never came. The shower over a bath is never a good thing as it is awkward to use. Apart from those two things I have mentioned, the room was fine. It's the little things and attention to detail that makes for a pleasant stay. Some of those details were lacking. And especially for the price I paid.

Very nice enjoyable place

Hope you guys make a lot of money by charging money for baby breakfast. My son had literally one slice of cheese. The reception lady insisted I have to pay

freedom to do what i wanted, missed breakfast a few times but that was my doing. the room i requested was not ready when i arrived but was offered another which i took, the view of the river was not so good. i will remember next time to wait. the rooms are getting tired looking and need new net curtains etc, but the comfort of the bed makes up for this. I like the dining room and the food is great. i will hopefully visit again just before christmas.

having stayed here three times now im still not happy with bathroom, the toilets have never been cleaned properly and they should be pure white, i have mentioned this before, but i must say there was a little improvement. the towels were smelling of cooked food, i put them out sorry for added washing, got refreshed ones and they were ok.

The buffet breakfast was excellent. We prefer to have a hotel that includes breakfast and for us to choose what we want to eat. In our case we want the healthy options of fruit, grenola and yoghurt, plus Cappucino coffee and not the full cooked Breakfast. We also had the evening meal, rather than going out to eat, and this proved to be the right decision. It was good too having the swimming pool and gym although I did need to buy a hat before going into the pool.

Electric car charging in the carpark would have helped.

The room was spacious with a very comfortable and large bed. Breakfast had an excellent choice of both hot and cold food. Probably the best hot buffet I have ever had in a hotel .Staff were very attentive and provided a pot tea on request. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the town and the castle and it was about a 10 minute walk to the train station. There was adequate car parking and we were allowed to keep our car in the park until 2 p.m on our departure day. Buses A1 and A2 seemed to stop outside the hotel though we did not use the buses

We could not find any UK or Sky stations on the TV. Hot water in the bathroom was difficult to access at first. We had to run the tap for a period before hot water came.

Great location with views of Athlone Castle, The Church of St Peter & Paul. walking distance to pubs and cafes. Large deck to hang waterside. Plush beds in quiete rooms for a good nights sleep. I would book again.

Oddly remodelled rooms. Elderly beware. Climb into deep tub for shower, non-locking glass half door = water all over the floor, No vent to help dry bathroom. Wasted former closet space no doors on it, leaving tiny cubbie for dresses, jackets, etc. Uncomfortable chairs to sit and enjoy views, since bed faced away from view. Corporate needs to oversee the next remodel.

This was my third stay in the Radisson Athlone and I was delighted to return again. I was upgraded to a suite which was stunning and a lovely surprise upon arrival by the check in staff. Hotel is beautifully situated and maintained to a high standard. Pool, sauna and steam room were perfect. You can be sure I'll be returning again for my 4th stay!

Unfortunately the wait for food and drinks was excessive. We had eaten our food before we got our drinks despite asking the wait staff three times. I did mention this to the manager which he acknowledged and apologised for. Also the hot breakfast was poor. Despite the downfalls, I'd still return just without breakfast included.

I didn't have the breakfast. I loved the views from my window and my room had everything I needed. Staff were very helpful and accomadating.

I did find my meals very tasty, but also a bit rich for my palate a lot of salt. I had turkey and ham Sunday. My mash under the turkey and ham was very very soft I didn't like that it was very off putting. I eat at 5 thought the veg was far too overdone nothing seemed that it was cooked fresh. Except for the chips. I though one thin slice of ham and one slice of turkey was very minimulilistic. We eat dinner next day also too much salt on fries. Food could be fresher and less over done veg.

Reception and GYM facilities are great, professional.

Staff; Breakfast and dining room staff could not "wait" to clear the table of plates, even if partner (in this case) had not finished the breakfast or meal. While I understand the team is under pressure to clear tables for the next "guest/s", it left us with an impression "please move on, we are busy". We had to ask for your team not to remove plates until our meals were completed. The above approach was experienced each day we stayed/dined at your hotel. Food was excellent, tasty and well presented.
