The location.

The staff at dinner on the first night were slow with the service. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. My wife had to go up twice to remind them, but we still had a wait. When the drinks eventually came out. One of those drinks had been forgotten. The room we stayed it was meant to have a nespresso machine, but it wasn't there. My wife rang the reception and was told it would be up. We stayed in room 203 for two days, and in spite of her asking, it never came. The shower over a bath is never a good thing as it is awkward to use. Apart from those two things I have mentioned, the room was fine. It's the little things and attention to detail that makes for a pleasant stay. Some of those details were lacking. And especially for the price I paid.

Central Location Good Value Friendly Staff

First Floor Room 118 Facing Wall No Direct Daylight also outside window had flat roof which was flooded Rain Pouring Down continuously even when not raining water was pouring down from roof gutters very loud

1. Early morning breakfast was available (always delicious) and gave us flexibility to leave early on our daily sojourns. 2. Liked the option to not have daily room cleaning. 3. Room security (using room card in the lift) was good. 4. We met Manuela, who works in the bar and restaurant, She's very friendly and really enhanced our visit. 5. Checking in and out was quick and easy. Staff helped us get a taxi, that was super nice!

Not a big problem, but, on our last night the electricity for the room lights went off. The night manager tried three time to restore power, but it was unsuccessful.

Breakfast was really very good. Above the standard you get at hotels. I thought, without exception, that the staff were exceptional, very friendly and informative. View from room was fab, over the marina and castle and the bed and pillows were as comfortable as I've experienced in a hotel. Pool was lovely, as was steam room and sauna.

My only couple of minor hiccups, and they were minor, that the corner shelf above the bed headboard was covered in dust as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while, but a small wipe if tissue sorted this, and the shower leaked out by screen seal into bath panel, which has softened and swelled with this leak over time and needed replacing. It's a pity there's not a kids pool to make that side of it a little more family friendly. I'm really only nit picking her though. Overall, we really loved it.

The breakfast was good but a little much of the same when it comes to Irish hotels. The food in the bar was very good and we ate there a few nights. Our room was great, they upgraded us to a family room which has a large king bed and two singles in a separate area.

I wanted to avail of the loyalty card discount, so asked pre-authorize my credit card, so I could charge everything to the room. I got a bit annoyed one day after a meal in the bar when they asked me to wait after I signed for the meal while the charge was authorized. This shouldn't happen for many reasons, firstly their systems should preauthorize everyday, secondly it would be more discrete if they asked me my room number before getting the bill. That way they could discretely check without leaving me waiting after I had already signed.

What a delightful surprise with my room! Large bright comfy room , overlooking the river. The pillows were extremely comfortable. Everything laid on to make my stay relaxing and refreshing. The energy in my room eas so good, I had unbroken sleep for 5 hours. Onsite Complementary Parking.

Slight breach of Professionalism on checkin. As I was in the process of checkin with a very pleasant Receptionist when her colleague approached me and bluntly said " I have to take my colleague into a meeting now! Take a seat and the other Receptionist over there will check you in when she is free Ok". So I had no option to move from that desk and wait to resume my Checkin process, when the other lady was free. But I must add the Lunch servers were very friendly and efficient. Housekeeping doing a great job too. Thank you for the FANTASTIC COMFORTABLE ROOM!

Great experience on checking in. I was alone in my room and found I had an interconnecting room. I wasn't comfortable with this and asked a lovely lady at reception to see if there was an alternative room Although they were fully booked, she did manage to change my room so that I was only a couple of doors away from my friends. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant which is really well situated looking out at the new bridge and water. The lady welcoming us at the breakfast was also particularly lovely and went out of her way to be helpful.

The parking is a real issue.

Very good when I approached the reception to complain about the noise and heat inthe room Lauren was so helpful she listened and dealt with the problem straight away she moved us to another room she is fantastic and her job and can relate to customers so well thank you again Lauren she is such an assert to the hotel a real proffesional at her job 😀

The room we stayed in was extremely warm and stuffy I had gone down for Mothers day break and in the morning there was maintenance repairs been one a guy with drill and kangoo hammer at early morning

The rooms are clean. I did not book for breakfast

Parking is a night mare
