A beautiful B&B set amongst the peaceful rolling hills of East Renfrewshire. The twin room, which I shared with my daughter, was very spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Ailie was a wonderfully warm, attentive and friendly host, who ensured that we had everything we needed to make our stay a fantastic experience full of great memories. The breakfast was delicious and absolutely faultless and literally kept us going all day! The shared guest areas of the house (e.g. dining room and lounge area) are also beautifully decorated and presented. If you're looking for a beautiful B&B in a peaceful country location (whilst still being only a short drive away from many great places to visit), I can highly recommend Whitehouse. I really hope to return again soon!
I really cannot fault our stay - everything was fantastic and a huge credit to Ailie.

Ailie and Nigel were amazing! They couldn't do enough to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and they are both very nice people. Nigel was incredibly helpful in driving me to the local Johnstone train station when cabs were a problem. Breakfast was spot on. There are two lovely dogs there too (Bryce and Toffee) if you miss your own dog during your stay as I did. The dogs are not allowed to roam the building so don't fret. I was allowed to go to them for some pats. I returned late (after midnight) on each night of the stay and there were no problems with accessing the property despite the late hour. The setting is lovely and quiet with really nice walks right on your doorstep. It was a great stayover for a few days and will definitely rebook when I am up that way again. Room was comfortable and spacious enough for a couple of nights. Facilities were fine too. Bathroom was a good size and well fitted out.
I wouldn't have improved anything.

We had a wonderful stay at the White House. Everything was immaculately clean and decorated and equipped with so much love for detail. It was dignified, stylish, romantic, enchanting, nostalgic and simply beautiful. It wasn't just an overnight stay but an immersion in the ambience of a romantic novel or a painting. The hostess couldn't have been more thoughtful and kind. A sensory delight from the first impression to the exquisite breakfast at the perfectly set table. Absolute recommendation!

From the moment we arrived our host offered a truly memorable scottish experience. Her hospitality went above and beyond ensuring that every detail of our visit was perfect. She recommended a restaurant for dinner which was also remarkable and she provided a breakfast second to none. The home itself was stunning beautifully decorated and exuding charm and warmth. Every corner of the house reflected the care and thoughtfulness of our host making it a cozy and inviting space. We felt incredibly welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. If you are looking for a genuine Scottish experience with exceptional hospitality this is a must. Highly recommended.

I very rarely leave a review because most of my stays are completely satisfactory but nothing special. I wish I could give Ailie 11 out 10. She is so considerate and pays attention to detail to every little thing in the rooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable. I stayed in each room on consecutive nights. Nothing was too much trouble, whether that was dinner recommendations, making coffee or cooking a delicious breakfast in the morning. The menu choice is varied and Ailie catered for a veg diet. There was chocolates and shortbread in the room with bottled water. Both showers were powerful and very hot. The views from the property are unparalleled and I look forward to returning again very soon.

I was met by Ailie who runs the place upon arrival. Ailie could not do enough for me and came out to greet me despite the pouring rain. I was shown to my room which was spotlessly clean, a wonderful size and extremely comfortable. Ailie made arrangements for an earlier than posted breakfast that was absolutely beautiful, a real personal touch and it was clearly obvious that she wanted to do everything she could to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Ailie is a superb host and the property is stunning with a large lounge, beautiful dining room, clean and spacious sleeping accommodation and a stunning rural location. I would not hesitate to stay here again and cannot recommend this place highly enough. A real gem of a property with exceptional management.
Nothing, everything just perfect.

Whitehouse was the perfect place for us - a beautiful, peaceful location in the countryside. No road noise or artificial light! Ailie couldn't have done more for us and the house and room were both comfortable and spacious. Delicious breakfast in a lovely, traditional dining room. We will be recommending Whitehouse to any friends who might be visiting the area.
Nothing!

Peaceful location, yet conveniently positioned a short 20-minute drive from Glasgow. Extremely welcoming and personable hosts who go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible. Wonderful, freshly prepared breakfast served in the beautifully appointed dining room ( you don't get silver tableware at Premier Inn!). Felt privileged to share their home with our hosts.
The bedroom was a little cool on arrival, but soon warmed up. Additional blankets and heated under-blankets were provided

Absolutely Lovely (in my best British accent) Americans would more typically say: Wonderful, Fantastic, Amazing, Awesome... you get the idea! Truly a Bed and Breakfast experience of days past. Not the commercial Airbnb of today. Ailie, Nigel, and their daughter (not to mention their adorable dogs) open their home to weary travelers and provide a restful and reinvigorating stopover in the Scottish countryside. If you are like me and stumble across this searching Booking blindly for the best option... This is it! The price point is quite competitive, but the value puts it straight over the top. You will want a car to get to and from, but there is a short train ride into Glasgow (and beyond) from Johnstone about 10 minutes away with free parking! Do yourself a favor and spend at least a couple of nights here!
as so many others ... I cannot really think of anything I did not like! Only that I could not stay longer.

What a fabulous location and beautiful period home.. Ailie was a superb host, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Views from the property are stunning, and the beds are super comfy. There were lots of breakfast options, which were delicious.
My only regret was that I was there on business and not on holiday.
