The location was really near the centre. The breakfast was very good, rooms very clean and comfortable. Very efficient staff and breakfast very good regardless what time you went.

Staff were business-like and functional, but not at all personal, bar one at night time. In other words, very impersonal. Usual hotel issue of room cards not working (but that's an issue in most places). Laundry blocked elevator at times...better system needed there. All that said, it is a lovely little hotel and very handy for accessing Leuven and transport. Very clean and good value for money. I'd definitely stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel The Shepherd, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service from the staff. The check-in process was seamless, and I immediately felt welcomed. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect night's sleep after a long day of exploring. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of fresh food, ensuring that everyone can find enough for a good breakfast. Excellent coffee machines.

My sister-in-law and my nephew stayed in the hotel, though I booked it for them. The staff were very helpful, as we had to do some rebooking, and were also very welcoming and helpful at the check-in. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was adequate. The setting is great - about seven minutes walk to the centre of town, and very quiet, as hardly any traffic goes by.

The rooms have large murals painted on them, which may not be to everyone's liking. The sound of running water or water going down pipes was quite loud and made sleeping difficult on one night.

New or refurbished rooms, clean, good shower. Only minor point was when we wanted to go into town after breakfast on the day of our check out, the lady at the reception was quite unfriendly pulling faces and told us we should move our car from the parking. We paid for a whole day parking (20 euro), and as we arrived late in the afternoon the day before we were a bit surprised when she said the car had to be moved before 12pm because we checked in after 3pm the day before and check in for new guests only starts at 3pm at this hotel.

The breakfast was good, my family liked it and it was better than I expected. There were some reviews saying the breakfast was not so good. But I find it quit okay. I mean it is not like a 5 stars breakfast but they provid what you need for breakfast. I Think it was good.

The family room is a on the top floor, it is a bit hot but there is air condition. I would like it if they can fix the steps going to where the upper room is becuase it was kinda broken and I had stuff to carry and I had to be extra careful walking up and down.

great place, value for money

as always: one of my must-have criteria is free parking. In conditions are not mentioned, I have to make a reservation, even reservation is not possible. At the end of the day, the parking place is not available, clerk replied that I had not requested a reservation—long story short after another 20 minutes and another 20 euros I parked in the parking house. So this practice is (intentionally) confusing not only at that hotel. so dear Mr. booking.com make this criteria brutally sharp to make your clients happy again.

Relaxed and cozy atmosphere, comfortable beds, excellent buffet breakfast

The rooms on the 4tt floor are not served by the lift and you have to go an extra flight of stairs that are very steep and narrow. I peesonally loved to be under the roof but It Is not for everyone and It should be made clear before

Located close to the Irish College and within walking distance to the town centre, easy to get around. 20 min walk from the train station - ok if minimal luggage but otherwise taxi/uber will be around 10 euros Room was clean and well equipped with a bar fridge. Toilet was well clean and well-maintained. Lift available. Friendly staff. Decent spread for breakfast.

very quiet location in leuven. near the crypt of pater damiaan de veuster and the beguinage. very near the restaurant street too. good room size. clean bathroom. very welcoming and considerate staff. i was one of those victimized by the computer meldown globally and the staff adjusted my stay date without extra pay. much appreciated from a weary and tired traveler for work.

it was hard for me to control the aircon so the room was quite warm.

Cleaness: The whole room is quite clean and will be refreshed every morning. Breakfast: Food is a bit simple, just some breads, fruits and coffee. Location: The location is very convenient. Tourist can reach the Leuven centrum in only 2 min walk. Besides, there are some supermarket and retailers around, so you can buy everything you need very conveniently.

The elevator is a bit small, it will be better if it can be larger and take more people
