Beautiful property, room had a very cool design and very clean and comfortable and had a luxurious simplicity , staff was helpful. Location is great, right by Alte Stadt and university. Love the design of the building, old joined with new.

-AC could only be set to 23C and so it got stuffy at night bc it was noisy to keep our windows open at night (also bc we wanted the drapes closed) . -minor issue but daily housekeeping didn’t always tidy up towels and things which seemed odd (ie wet hand towel not replaced or tidied up) -breakfast had a decent selection but a few things were not replenished often (I’m sure we could have asked)

Good location, nice clean hotel with spacious room/s.

The initial interaction at check-in was not good; not a smile/hello/good afternoon. I checked-in while my husband stayed in the car in front of the hotel, we are not familiar with the area and did not see designated parking for check-in. Needless to say, it was not a welcoming initial encounter. Once parking was sorted, my husband and I went to the reception area to continue with the check-in process, only then did the staff's demeanor/interaction improved. The other staff we've met/encountered during our stay were nice/friendly/helpful. The A/C does not work well, turns off around midnight, need to reset it after waking up from being too warm.

Our room was spacious with character. A very nice terrasse on the second floor as well as a very pleasant patio on the ground floor, both with some tables and chairs to relax. The hotel is a very good renovation of an older building. Just at the beginning of the pedestrian, historical area. Very convenient parking (to be booked ahead). Would definitely stay again at the hotel if I come back to Heidelberg.

Only small issue. Restaurant in the evening closed as the chef was sick. Can happen but would have been great to receive a message indicating the issue.

Gorgeous hotel, set in an old building yet fully renovated with every possible modern comfort. The sublime ceiling painting above our room, added a touch of character to our stay in beautiful Heidelberg! Breakfast was outstanding! Staff was carefully attentive to our needs. The property is perfect for your stay in Heidelberg, within very short walking distance of everything. Parking is extremely easy, in the hotel’s own parking garage below. Would most definitely stay here again without hesitation!

Can’t imagine anything we didn’t like!

Arthotel was recommended by friends living in Heidelberg (we initially booked at a more luxurious hotel in the newer part of town, but glad we changed). We really appreciated the location - perfect for exploring the old town. The hotel was clean and thoughtfully designed with all the essentials. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend to others.

Fabulous central location, close to a grocery shop, restaurants etc. Walkable distance to all the attractions we visited, so saved on public transport. The rooms are very generous, immaculately clean, toiletries of good quality are provided as well a bottles of sparkling water. Staff were helpful and curtious. Didn't have breakfast or dinner at the hotel, so can't review that. Hotel is not cheap but you get what you pay for, i.e. a bit of luxury. Would stay there again and recommend to friends and family.

My room faced into a busy road, which was quite noisy when the window was open. Double glazing worked well and there was less traffic towards midnight, so still slept well. I would have preferred the room my children had, which overlooked the courtyard and was a lot quieter. Also there was a streetlight just outside my bedroom window, which meant that the curtains were not thick enough to block out all the light. A mask would certainly be useful. Finally, the hotel is called Arthotel and there is a library area with lots of books on art, music, photography. But both our rooms lacked art posters on the walls. There were a lot of white spaces! However, my bedroom ceiling was painted in a Roccoco style. Lovely!

Excellent location, very clean and updated. Bathroom looked like a brand new remodel (I like a hotel with bathtub and shower separated like that). 2 min walk to the action (bars, restaurants, cafes, shops). Staff very friendly and accommodating. Parking onsite (make sure and reserve when you reserve your room). Big room...hardwood floors...very accommodating and comfortable. Will stay again for sure over the Marriott Heidelberg I used to stay at (dated)

Only miss...no iron or ironing board in room. But this is a common miss in non-American chain hotels in Europe. Business travelers always need this. Bed was a little stiff. But...every bed I stayed in on this business trip (three hotels) was stiff for me. I think it's a Germany thing.

Very comfortable with a private garage in central Heidelberg. Also nice with a pleasant courtyard to have a drink. (Served by a friendly staff) The room was spacious and well-equipped, but the last stairs up to it was i bit disappointing. (We had a Superior). But all in all, a place worth visiting.

It would've been nice if the restaurant was open all weekdays.

Loved everything about this hotel except when it came to the A/C . Room was large and comfortable. Parking underground was excellent . Location was the best , breakfast and staff were perfect. BUT as I said not sure if A/C could go low enough in heat as found it difficult to sleep with the heat .

As the personnel supposedly manning the front desk is also doing other tasks that requires him to be in other areas of the hotel, suggest that they have a bell or electronic alert system to call his attention. Not good to be the one waiting at the front desk when checking in and checking out when you’re supposedly a paying guest.
