The staff were very friendly and with a 24-hour bar with evening entertainment below was helpful for soft drinks if the local shop was shut. The bar and the building look amazing and to stay lets you think about the history within the venue.

The mattresses were very thin and with 3-bed bunks, the space to sit on the bunk is limited. Also the key card needed reactivited every time I left the hostel which wasn't the best, Be aware if you do not book direct, you need to check out by 10am where as if you book directly you get an extra 2 hours and check out at 12 noon. There is also a price match advertised on the website direct. Be careful if you have large luggage as there may be a large number of steep stairs and small corridors to move through to get to rooms.

The receptionist Mark did a smashing job at keeping the bar area super clean, v friendly helpful customer service easy to talk to was very impressed to see Mark the amount he was managing all by himself intact I even said to him in person how v impressed I was. Just a shame the pillows on the bed could have been a little bit more comfy, but to thick and chunky for me ending up sleeping outout the pillow. Kind regards many thanks , highly recommend

The thick chunky pillow was a bit too much - triple / top bunk was really rather hot in temperature

The staff was very helpful and polite. I asked just for a cup of hot water every morning and they didn't mind. They have not just comfortable beds but also very stable ones /you are not disturbed when the upper bed guest moves/. This is the first hostel that doesn't charge its guests for luggage storage before check-in and after check out. And they have great taste in music.

The location is not the best but for that money we should not complain. Transport in London is very expensive though. They could pay more attention to cleaning the floors in the rooms and especially between the beds and walls. The dust activated my asthma. Regular checking is needed for the supply of soap and paper in the restrooms. I would recommend changing the furniture upholstery before the fireplace. It is old and some refreshing would make the guests feel better chatting there. It's my fault that I didn't have an adapter for recharging my phone. I had to buy one for 5 £. It would be nice if I could rent one because now I can't use it anymore. That was my last trip to the UK.

Staff (Kailey&Peter) were exceptional with a concern with another guest being inappropriate. She kindly moved me to a women only dorm for the rest of my stay that made my day. Thank you! Zack too is a great person there too up for a natter. The showers were good and plenty of toilets. Push button on the shower was a pain though. Would recommend this hostel. Some big mesh cage lockers for large backpacks is great.

Sadly no microwave. One of the few hostels I’ve stayed which don’t.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at the place. It had everything, including a pub with decent beers, hot showers, and local amenities nearby like a wonderful bakery and several Asian restaurants. Staff were very courteous and helpful, and allowed me to bring outside food to the place. Despite the room hosting around 10+ beds, it was very well-organised.

So.... there was a person snoring in adjacent beds who sounded like a broken lorry engine. It was unbearable and I didn't sleep well. Will bring earplugs next time or remind him to sleep on his side.

Fantastic location, great bar, everywhere was easy to access by the bus which had a stop almost right outside. Some decent local places too within walking distance. It was excellent value. Food served here was really good too. The guys running the bar are such a good laugh. Polite and friendly and just generally really good people to be around. The bar manager was such a lovely guy, and the lad working with him (from Liverpool originally) was just fabulous. They made a great team. It is a hostel so anyone expecting a hotel would be disappointed. It is exactly what is advertised at a great price- particularly considering what we paid for two nights over a weekend! The beds were comfortable enough, the bedding was clean and smelt clean. The rooms are spacious enough. There’s lockers to store your stuff in and plug sockets with USB ports. There were a lot of stairs up to the rooms, which was fine before we walked the marathon (there for a charity event) after it was regrettable. However I would and will 100% return for a decent night out. The bar itself had a great mix of people throughout our stay. Some locals who were just lovely people to talk to. Others people who were also staying at the hostel, and great people to be around. A really lovely time in London spent socialising and having some fun.

Wish there were more private bathrooms. However I can’t really moan for the price paid.

Great little place, beds were comfortable enough and all well placed. Staff were great and friendly.

Though breakfast is widely advertised, there was no one to hand to make any on either morning. Food was expensive for burgers in paper and small paper bowl of chips..need to up their game on this front. Although I am all-encompassing..someone switching the room light on at 7am in the mornings having morning prayer and shouting his thanksgiving and praises wasn't going down well with everyone in the dorm..and he seemed to think that shouting at his mates on the phone all other times was the norm..if he was standing in a field maybe? Everyone else was lovely and polite..

The staff and facilities were very decent could do with a microwave and a kettle for traveler’s and more bathroom and shower facilities when they are fully booked. But other than that my stay was pretty decent. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very close to transport link And very clean .

The room was nice and the price is really good. Staff were nice and check in was really easy

The bathroom doesnt really have many hooks to store clothes or to dry off and change- the whole shower gets wet but thats pretty normal for hostels I guess. The fact that theres no kitchen or fridge etc was a shame. The beds dont have private curtains so the room lights are really bright if someone turns them on at night.
