My stay was truly exceptional, thanks to the incredible staff. Everyone was supportive, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life, and the team did everything they could to assist us throughout our stay. A special thank you to Winnie, who was exceptionally kind—she upgraded our room and ensured we had everything we needed. I’d also like to commend the laundry supervisor for the excellent service; everything was handled quickly and efficiently. Overall, the hospitality exceeded my expectations. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

I didn’t like the food. The breakfast was very basic and with no verity. The food was test less and not very clean .

This resort is what you would expect. It's large, has a beautiful pool, and offers good service. We came from a small and personal resort, so it took some getting used to. The jacuzzi in our room didn't work either. They promised to fix it the next day, but it never happened. The breakfast is reasonably good, but due to the large scale, it was better at the other places we stayed. The à la carte lunches were very good, though. You can definitely skip the fish and Thai restaurant. The view is amazing, but the food is mediocre, and there was terribly loud rap music playing. We can handle a lot, but this completely ruined the beautiful view. The room was very nice and clean, and as mentioned, the pool and service are fantastic.

Lovely stay staff were very accommodating and it’s a beautiful building and rooms. A lovely place to stay for a last night before a flight and has free airport transfer and a beautiful breakfast.

We paid extra on booking.com for a late checkout but when we arrived we were told it was only until 2pm (our flight wasn’t until 9 and this is why we paid for the late checkout option). After a conversation we were accommodated until 4pm which was nice of the receptionist. But just a warning that when booking the late checkout option out option which is quite a bit more expensive -It’s not that late.

seaview rooms were perfect, we gt the presidential suite, and could see a gorgeous sunset every day. the staff were amazingly helpful, they assisted my father who has a difficulty with mobility all throughout our stay, providing a wheel chair.

the fly dubai staff stay in this hotel, and unfortunately due to their flight times they check out in unearthly hours to catch the early morning flight, we were awoken at 4am by them moving furniture or their trolley luggage. id suggest they stay at ground floor accomodation to avoid them disturbing other guests otherwise all else was perfect.

Reserving a room at Madinat Al Bahr was a smooth process. I proceeded to make a call to enquire about checking in early. A gentleman by the name Sebastian organized to have me picked up from the airport and allowed me to check in early which allowed me to have a much-needed rest after two days of travelling. At the reception I was greeted with warm smiles and the lady at the reception (Happy) checked me in without delays. Issa helped me to my room and showed me the executive room I had booked. The room surpassed all my expectations. It was roomy, light and very clean. The icing on the cake was the direct view of the hotels garden and the blue ocean from my room’s balcony. All the amenities that one might need on a trip away from home are included in the room. My first night at the hotel was very pleasant. I had the delight of meeting Sayed Aly on my way to breakfast the next day - a very charming, chatty gentleman who speaks. I enjoyed chatting with Aly during the meals - we both had a chance to practise the international languages we spoke (German, Russian and a little bit of Italian). I got the impression that Aly takes his time to learn the guests and preferences which really makes a stay at Madinat Al Bahr feel like a second home. The food was another highlight. A wide variety of local and international delicacies. The buffets were amazing. I was more interested in local delicacies which the hotel had enough of. The fruit variety felt like a special treat too. The pool is very clean and big enough. There are nough sun beds around the pool - one needs not worry about finding a spot to chill by the pool. The pool looks even prettier at night! The beach just infront of the hotel was nice too. I had a chance to chit chat with the locals and take some “diving lessons” from the kids swimming around. My stay lacked for nothing. Madinat Al Bahr is truly a gem on this beautiful island.

We loved this hotel especially the exterior, pool, restaurant and common area. It was well decorated and we had a very relaxing very pleasant stay. We basically had the pool to ourselves on the day we spent lounging around, the hotel was very quiet. We loved the gardens and all the different kinds of flowers! Many different lounge areas outside to enjoy the beautiful Zanzibar sun. A little beach area just down the stairs. On another day we went to stone town, and the hotel arranged a driver to take us there and pick us up ($10 per trip) which was very helpful. We loved that there was a free shuttle to/from the airport. The buffet is very good, we really enjoyed the food.

The bed was verryyyyy squeaky and there was a round blue light near the ceiling that we wished we could have turned off. We arrived after a long day safariing on the mainland and a flight into Zanzibar so we were hoping for a slightly comfier bed/bedroom. There was a bit of a musty smell too but overall it was fine. Just not quite what we expected given how lavish the rest of the place was.

The property was luxury everything was designed in details and the staff were very respectful and always happy to help.

We stayed in the two bed room apartment with my husband and my two children. Unfortunately, because on the second room didn’t have two single my 14years old boy and 10 years old girl had to shared in double bed room. I did call the reception initially, they did say they were going to bring a spare bed as they could separated the double bed but unfortunately no body came to our room was bit disappointed about that but apart from that everything else was great.

Love the location. Very quiet and extremely relaxing. The staff were very nice and very helpful. Christopher at the cafe was very nice and helpful. Also, the convenience of the car with drivers was so good and the price was cheap. Great buffet also!

A bit dated. Our room showed age and probably needs to be updated and more modern. However, the shower was fantastic. Great hot water.

This is a pretty impressive Hotel and I've seen a few. Just 8 min drive from the airport an 15 min from Stone Town. It has amazing facilities, exceptional staff, good food with pictures landscapes and views. I can recommend the Spa treatments or go for a sundowner in the 2nd floor lounge and do yourself a favour by ordering the Prawn Curry from room service, it's to die for🤩 5 Star service guys!! You've outdone yourselfs. Asante Sana❤️

the breakfast and A La Carte dinner menu was huge and catered for all our needs and more and the staff were very friendly and brought all the items to our table.

The late cleaning of our room, the one day, after making several calls to housekeeping. On arrival your desk manager advised us that there is a free shuttle to Stone Town every morning.When we requested this free shuttle,we were advised that we have to book this with the conciergie and pay for the trip to Stone Town.
