The hotel is really beautiful, the breakfast is great with lots of options both buffet and a la carte. The pools and overall installations are very nice and allow for a restful holiday. Unfortunately this time there was not good weather so we could not use the beach, however we were able to use the beach at the other Sala in Chaweng that didn't get wind.

This was the second time we came, and unfortunately service was not as excellent as the first time around. A shame because the first time they really shone! Things like plates and leftovers, left outside our room rather than collected for a whole 2 days sometimes, there was a lot of trash on the beach because of the weather that got to the hotel parts as well, and we felt it wasn't cleaned quickly (left there the whole day). I told the restaurant at every single meal that my toddler uses normal cutlery and plates, and every single time it was a fight as they insisted in bringing plastic things.. They would come and do the bed, but not clean the room - things like these that do make a difference in such a nice hotel.

Beautiful location with a well kept beach and two swimming pools, one also suitable for laps and exercise early in the morning. Breakfast choices were good, with a selection of dishes prepared by the kitchen and a buffet to complement the offering. The garden and the villas are well kept and often renovated, giving guest a lovely place to stay

My only real complain is about the gym, the only facility in the entire hotel that feels out of place and totally not up to standard. The room is small, dark, with little to no equipment, and extremely cold with air conditioning aggressively blowing on you when exercising. If I had a wish, is for the gym to be fully renovated and at least doubled in size (there is plenty of space for that).

We spent nine nights at Sala Samui Choengmon Beach Resort, drawn by its consistently high ratings not only on Booking.com but also across other travel platforms. While the hotel felt slightly expensive, it delivered exactly what we expected. Highlights included the spacious Sala Pool Villa with a private pool, an excellent breakfast featuring both a buffet and a wide range of à la carte options, two large swimming pools, a beautiful beach, and plenty of available sun beds. Aside from breakfast, we didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant, as there are many great local lunch and dinner spots just a short walk away.

The gym was modest, as is often the case with hotel facilities, but it had everything we needed to complete our workouts.

This hotel absolutely deserves the rating it has received and all the positive reviews. Even though we’ve only spent 3 days here so far and haven’t left yet, I wanted to share my impressions. From the very first moment you enter the hotel, all the staff are incredibly friendly and always greet you warmly. It’s as if the entire hotel team has sworn an oath to give you an amazing vacation experience :) The level of service is extremely high. While spending time at the beach, you’re constantly offered cold water and other treats. But in my opinion, the best service is the cold towel they bring between intervals :) It’s a perfect way to cool down. Additionally, there’s a happy hour between 1:00–3:00 PM and 5:00–6:00 PM where you can get one drink or cocktail free with your order. Drink prices at the beach aren’t expensive either — you can enjoy cocktails for around 280–400 Baht. The adult pool offers a quieter and more peaceful experience. In my opinion, the sea here is one of the nicest in Koh Samui. However, it’s not among the most beautiful in the world. The water is a bit warm, shallow, and slightly murky. The hotel rooms are very nice. The air conditioning works great, and there’s also a ceiling fan. The room we stayed in had a spacious balcony and a large couch. There was also a table and chairs. Most importantly, the room cleanliness is excellent — the hotel really provides outstanding cleaning service. I think the only thing that needs to be reconsidered is the spa pricing. In my opinion, the prices are a bit high. Compared to outside, where you can get a Thai massage for around 300–500 Baht, it costs 2,500 Baht here. However, during happy hour by the pool, you can get the same massage for 990 Baht. Long story short, I highly recommend this hotel. If yo plan to trip to Koh Samui, you should definitely stay in here.

Sala Samui was everything we hoped for and more. The beachfront setting was pure paradise, the rooms were beautifully designed, and the whole resort had an effortlessly relaxing vibe. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. A massive shoutout to Jocelyn and the 2 staff from the restaurant and pool (sorry i didnt get their names), who showed genuine care and compassion after my wife’s accident. They are huge assets for this resort. If you have the opportunity to stay at sala, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

What a piece of paradise on Koh Samui, we had a fantastic stay at this exceptional and tranquil resort. We stayed there a week with our 10 month old daughter, and couldn't have picked a better place. The location, the facilities, the pool, the breakfast, the beach - everything was great. We do also want to give a special mention to the incredibly friendly staff including Oom, Mam, James, An, Noom, Pang to just mention a few. They were extremely service minded and also took great care of our daughter. Would love to come back to Sala Samui, and this comes from a couple who never goes back to the same place twice!

SALA Samui is personification of Thai warmth and hospitality, and it is featured in everything from the layout of the resort compound, the rooms and facilities, the meals, and most of all the service staff. We wanted a quiet stay so we decided on the resort at Choengmon Beach, but if you want something more central and with a lot of buzz then I would recommend the sister resort at Chaeweng Beach. Although the location at Choengmon is relatively secluded, it is just 10 min away from Chaeweng, where you can enjoy the many restaurants and shopping centres, and yet get back to the quiet of Choengmon. It is also about 15 min by car to Fisherman's Village, which is another must to enjoy the heritage and also variety of impressive restaurants. The resort itself is very self-contained, with a pool for children and a deeper pool for adults. There is also a gym, reading room and spa. While there are spas outside the resort and also at Chaeweng, I would recommend trying the spa services at the resort, even though it might be a little pricey. We went during the quiet season so there was lots of space and quiet. The restaurant serves an amazing breakfast buffet and you can choose bot the a la carte as well as the buffet menu. Every night is capped with a thematic dinner and we enjoyed the Lobster Night on Monday and the Thai Buffet with local dances and fire show on Thursday. Communication and ordering all your requirements (food, services, etc) are done through an app, which makes it quite convenient and response from the staff is fast.

We really do not have anything that we were disappointed with since we decided on the quieter resort. There are some restaurants and cafes just 5 to 10 min walk outocde the reort but the resort restaurant have an impressive menu.

The hotel staff is absolutely amazing – they go above and beyond to make sure guests have the best experience, with attention to every little detail. The rooms and the entire hotel are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is excellent and varied. The hotel has two pools – we enjoyed the one suitable for children, and it was perfect. The hotel’s restaurant is outstanding, and we were pleasantly surprised when they allowed us a late check-out at no extra charge. We will definitely come back again!

The shower in our room is located outside the main room in an open space. It feels a bit unusual, and the main issue is that it gets quite hot in the bathroom area.

Everything about the hotel is wonderful. The staff cannot do more for you and make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. From Check-in to Check out the whole 5 nights we stayed no matter what we needed they were helpful. The a la carte breakfast is amazing and the restaurant also does great meals the rest of the day. The beach bar has fantastic happy hours and the adult only pool is a great touch. Access to beach is direct and wonderful to so easily walk up and down the bay. The garden pool room was large, great outside area and well appointed. Situated 10 min from the airport and about 10-15 min from other tourist attractions was great. Located in a quiet bay right on the beach it’s perfect for a relaxing break
