Nice clean resort, short walk to the lovely Choengmon beach. Well equipped kitchen, water topped up daily mix comfortable bed in main room, friendly staff. Close to a very good restaurant - (Mr Eung’s) Breakfast/ snacks available in the resort. Nice to have a pool area and it was next to our villa.

Would have been nice for the Villa to have an iron or one available to borrow. Single beds in the second bedroom were not comfortable at all. The transfer we arranged to collect us on arrival did not turn up, the resort were apologetic and an airport taxi cost the same.

We stayed for 10 nights opting for the duplex room, which had a mezzanine floor for the bed. We loved the setup, plenty of room on the lower floor with comfy sofa, wardrobe tv fridge etc. Because the duplex rooms are at the higher end of the resort, we had a part sea view from the balcony, which had 2 chairs and a table. To sit there of an evening enjoying the view and bird song was so pleasant, one of our highlights, and to see the sunrise in the morning. The resort is on a road just off the main Choeng Mon street but within an easy 5 minutes walk. Beach was also 5-10 minute walk away. There are plenty of nice places to eat on the main street together with a couple of supermarkets, pharmacy and massage places. We really enjoyed staying in a more traditional Thai style hotel rather than the bigger corporate type establishments. We hired a car for two days and toured the island, which was great, it confirmed we'd picked the right area for us.There are some busier areas on the island for those seeking a more lively time but Choeng Mon is a quieter beach area which is perfect for a relaxing break. Bob and his team couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, right from the initial booking, answering any questions we had, to the day we left arranging late check out and airport transfer. Thank you all so much for making our holiday so great.

Like this whole corner of the island, the accommodation showed a very laid-back and hands-off approach. Don't expect too much even for the price. There is a pool, the room was spacious and clean. It is around the corner from the beach. I think the overall experience was fine.

The overall service was pretty basic and I didn't think it was worth the money spent. They are not really reactive in helping you with travel or tour arrangements. At check-in, they didn't even inform me there was a pool. I didn't feel sufficiently cared for what I would expect for the price paid. Also: - the towels were old and spotty - there was no handsoap in the bathroom - there was no tray in the shower - they did not offer a water dispenser for refilling, just two small plastic bottles of water every day included - the A/C was very old and showed signs of mold inside

Great property with the relaxed vibe we were looking for. The villa we stayed in was perfect the two of us for our two week stay - comfortable and private. In terms of the property it is nicely situated on a hill with a nice pool near the lobby. The staff was very helpful and the service during our stay was extremely professional. The location is also big a plus being just short 5-10 min walk to cafes restaurants and the beach. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend. First of all I want to note attentive and responsive kind staff of the resort. Everyone tried to make our stay at the hotel very comfortable, quickly responded to any request. We ve booked three nights and than decided to stay more although the resort was fully booked the manager Istvan did the best to find room for us, special thanks to him. So why we choose to stay for another three weeks at the resort. Great location: beach, restaurants,shops, bank, laundry within short walking distance. The resort is nice, green, very clean, quiet, comfortable. I like authentic design of villas, old fashioned furniture, pictures, everything in excellent condition. It feels real Thailand. At the same time there s everything you need for everyday life. We lived in two-bedroom villa, it s big enough. In addition to the bedrooms there s kitchen, living room and veranda where you can spend a pleasant evening. Comfortable beds, good linen. Pretty new modern air conditioners.The cleaning is every day. Towels where changed every two days. It s available to order breakfast on request. Also there s a pool and small playground in the hotel. Since my partner and I don't usually eat in the morning, we opted not to have breakfast at the hotel. Nevertheless, a resident in a nearby hotel assured us that the food here is absolutely worth trying. The hotel's location was ideal for us, especially if you seek the tranquility the island provides, making the Choengmon area highly recommended. Perfect for a childless couple, the one-bedroom villa features a cozy living room with a comfortable chaise longue sofa, a TV, and a compact kitchenette equipped with various electronic devices. The balcony, designed for two, offers a charming space. The bedroom, adorned with a spacious wardrobe and a small safe, boasts a large double bed with a mattress and pillows that ensure a restful sleep. While the bathroom may not be expansive, those inclined towards showers will find a delightful and personalized experience through the various water currents available. The staff was accessible every morning until around 8 pm, and they proved exceptionally helpful whenever we required assistance. They went above and beyond by aiding us in communicating with a computer store in Thai language, which they did patiently and kindly throughout the process.

To be honest, I can't think of a single aspect that I didn't like. Chor Chang is one of my favorite hotels, and I intend to return there without a doubt. If there's one thing to remark, it's the presence of flies and insects in the pool area, which, in my opinion, necessitates pest management. Despite the occasional emergence of bees in the area, the response was swift and effective each time we reported it.

Spacious two bedroom villa, with access to a good breakfast made to order. Bedrooms have air conditioning, living room only fans. They provide pool/beach towels. Staff very friendly, helped with laundry and ordering taxi. When we had a problem with air conditioning they replied immediately.

Mosquitos cannot be avoided. No direct access to the beach, need to walk 10 min.

We stayed here for 5 nights with my parents who were visiting from England. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was wonderful having cooking facilities and the outside space. The beds were comfy, shower was good. The pool was great fun and our son loved spending the mornings in there. It is close enough to walk to the beach too.

Not enough shampoo and shower gel given for 5 people.

Great bungalow style rooms with a small kitchen and large refrigerator which was a bonus. The rooms were a little dated and could do with an upgrade, but in saying that it was very comfortable The room was cleaned daily and the staff very friendly and helpful. Choeng Mon beach was a 5 minute walk down the hill and probably 8-10 mins walk back up the hill. The small pool was a relief from the heat, especially after the walk up the hill from the town centre.

There was nothing to complain about with the place, they only thing we didn't like was the distance to the beach, would be great if there was a shortcut to access the beach easier, and not having to walk up the hill in the heat.

- The room was spacious - Great view and 2 balconies - Walking distance from the beach - Nice pool - The bed was soft which is unlike most places in Thailand (if you like soft beds)

- The air conditioner is massive as it needs to cool both floors. It requires some playing with to direct it in a way that feels comfortable and unfortunately you can only use the remote in a specific area in the lower floor, doesn't work from the bed. It doesn't make loud noises but it's not very quiet because of its massiveness. - Not very comfortable without a motorcycle or car if you intend to do anything besides going to the beach. - Lack of a vegetarian option. It's mostly sandwiches so it really doesn't take a lot to have a vegetarian option on the menu.
