Beautiful resort and very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very spacious and well laid out, modern and clean, with a large balcony and seaview. The resort is very quiet and peaceful, and only a 5-10 mins drive away (taxis can be ordered very easily) from neighbouring bustling coastal towns with many great eat-out and entertainment options.

The half board package only covered certain restaurants for dinner, and little clarification was provided (the staff did not seem to be aware). I was also told that evening meals could be traded for lunch on any day, but annoyingly it meant having to explain this to the staff each time we chose to switch.

The room was beautiful, and huge. The facilities were great although I didn’t get to explore as much as I wanted as I only stayed at the hotel one night. The breakfast was amazing, in the Top 5 best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. The staff are always trying to be helpful to make you feel comfortable whilst they don’t always understand English, I think it is a hard language to learn for Thai people

To go anywhere within the hotel you need to order a buggy which can take between 5 to 15 mins to collect you. The hotel is so big that some areas aren’t at walkable distance. I found this really inconvenient as you can need 10 buggies a day and waste so much time waiting for them. I personally wouldn’t want to stay there anymore as I like to be free to go anywhere I like but if you enjoy being driven around then you will enjoy this hotel. The TV in the room isn’t a Smart TV so I couldn’t get access to Netflix. I stayed in places on Koh Phangan which were 3 star and had smart TVs with access to Netflix etc… So as a 5 star hotel, I think they may need to look at upgrading some of the tech they have

We booked this hotel as part of our Honeymoon, we were very excited to stay here. We were slightly disappointed when we arrived at the airport to find our pre-booked taxi with the hotel did not arrive. They were very apologetic however and greeted me with a bunch of flowers and a lovely cake in our room. The facilities are superb with beautiful rooms. Be mindful that walking to different locations within the hotel complex takes time, they do provide buggy's which pick you up but you have to allow 10-15 minutes until they are available. There are a number of different restaurants within the complex but be prepared to pay a higher price. We ate at the Thai restaurant which was exquisite. The spa facilities are beautiful, I had an amazing massage worth every penny (similar to EU prices). Overall a lovely hotel.

Lack of activities inside the resort, there is nothing to create a lovely atmosphere that would keep you in the property to enjoy. The restaurants inside the resort are limited, quite expensive. The breakfast buffet is average. Poor coffee, staff is unable to fulfill any orders on the spot, it would take them a while to bring your cup of coffee……. The sea front is narrow and dirty.

It´s a 5-star resort with exquisite service. The staff is fantastic. Everyone spoke good English and there is a client service all the time. I enjoyed the fantastic pool by the private beach. The gym was also excellent. I don´t eat in the morning but went to the breakfast area on the first day to take a look and honestly, that is food for an entire day. I am so sorry I didn´t have the time to experience the magnificent spa area and service. In-room orders were fast and food was good in all the resort areas. A great hotel where I expect to return soon. Top service!

The wide range of food for breakfast. I understand the luxury resort service but I don't understand that so much waste can be generated. People take food for the sake of it and without it being related to their real appetite. I hope the hotel has a program to reuse this food and if it works with the community and population of the island even better.

We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade which made our stay even more memorable. The location, views and resort facilities were amazing as were the incredible friendly and helpful staff. Beauty at Pak Tai restaurant made it a great dining experience with her endearing personality, even without a booking. Woody at concierge was extremely friendly and warm. Highly recommend staying at this resort ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rooms and some of the facilities could do with a slight update

Everything. Beautiful resort with very nice friendly staff . Great restaurants, great pools , great breakfast and very good spa. Rooms are very big and beautiful.

A fan in the bathroom area can be helpful as the A.C doesn’t get there and it is very hot from all the big windows, so by the time you put on your make up you are all sweat again. Also not enough baggie’s drivers and when the hotel was full you need to wait more than 20min .to go the reception or breakfast .

We had the most incredible stay at The Ritz-Carlton Samui for our honeymoon — and a huge part of that was thanks to Sunny, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, he took the greatest care of us, showing incredible thoughtfulness toward my pregnant wife and ensuring everything was perfect. Nothing - it even has tennis courts which is an added bonus. The breakfast was one of the best I have experienced and we have been to many 5 star hotels around the world!!

Breakfast was superb, although really busy with kids and families, but it was August I guess....

Adults only pool for peace and quiet. Maybe more use of the spa pool would be good for this...

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui was a truly memorable experience. Although we didn’t book a villa with a private pool, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a beautiful sea view room upon arrival. The view was breathtaking and made our stay feel even more special. From start to finish, the service was exceptional — every staff member was warm, professional, and eager to help. The room was immaculate, elegant, and comfortable, and we loved waking up to ocean views and birdsong each morning. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering a wide selection of Thai and international dishes in a lovely setting. We also really appreciated the daily Appreciation Hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., where guests can enjoy the “cocktail of the night” — a thoughtful and relaxing touch before dinner. One of the highlights of our evenings was dining at Sea Breeze restaurant, where we enjoyed not only great food but also the fire show by the beach — such a magical way to end the day. Though the resort is spread out, buggy service was prompt and efficient. We loved the peaceful, tucked-away location, which made it easy to unwind and truly disconnect. We left feeling pampered and refreshed, with beautiful memories and a strong desire to return. Highly recommend for anyone seeking luxury, tranquility, and a few unique touches along the way.
