Entrance hallway has a nice warm welcoming vibe about it. Lovely lounge area to spend some time in to collect fresh milk for your room cup of tea. Bedroom and en-suite are a good size, we even had a couple of chairs which were very welcome. All presented in tastefully designed rooms that are comfortable and clean. Choice of breakfast items matched that of a hotel and the quality surpassed that of a hotel. Enjoyed our friendly and informative chat with the owners who made us feel most welcome.

Felt bad having to put our suitcase onto the clean single bed so we could unpack it! Busy main road out front but once we got parked on the front drive it was all good.

Everything about Beechwood was great from the self-check in (although Shona was there to meet us) to the breakfast (available on request). They had thought about everything we might need in the room and nothing was too much trouble. We were also able to use the very comfortable lounge where there was also fresh milk and ice available if required. The room was large and very comfy with a super cosy duvet, seating and tea/coffee making. David and Shona also made us a great breakfast which was excellent value and made lots of recommendations for local attractions and were happy to help in any way they could.

Beechwood is a lovely property located on the main Prestwick road and easy to find. The only disadvantage is that it's a busy road. The room was good, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and toiletries were provided. A socket near to the bed was available for phone charging. A nice lounge was available with a library. The host was lovely, and provided local information and advice on places for meals and interest. There was sufficient room on the forecourt for parking.

Shona and David were very welcoming to my family and l . We had a lovely spacious room . The hotel is in a good location and there’s lots of street parking available/ parking is available by the property too. My children enjoyed their stay and we hope to visit again soon. It’s very lovely to have hosts that are friendly to children , I really appreciate Shona and David’s hospitality, kindness and understanding .

Quaint, stayed in loft room, sky light and window... could peak over rooftops and see the sea. The host was great. There is a little convenience store across the road. Found a great cafe' a short drive away in the town. Fun driving to explore the castle ruins in Dunure.

Not much within walking distance food wise. Few things were closed... There is a "laundry in the wall" just across the road, which was great, except people use if for dog blankets mainly... so was full of dog hair... still, at least we could do an emergency load of washing.

Lovely, incredibly helpful and friendly host, really clean and comfortable room, beautiful accommodation and lovely little extras. Breakfast smelled amazing although we had to leave early so didn't sample any. Very useful location with Lidl a couple of minutes' drive away and Tesco Express a couple of minutes' walk away. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Nothing to dislike!

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The host had great communication and very helpful. The beds were fantastic, a nice sitting room. We didn't get breakfast but wish we had. There are not many restaurants near by.

The location is not the best, kind of innetween Prestwick and Ayr but if we had a car it wouldn't have mattered. I highly recommend if you are in this area.

The room was very clean and welcoming great for families I would definitely book again.

I believe there was an issue with the heating as it was on all night and I overheard another room mentioning it to staff, The simple solution was to open the windows it didn't affect our stay too much, The only other thing was I couldn't get hot water from the bathroom tap but again this wasn't a big issue

Very nice comfortable room for a short stay in Ayr, the decor was excellent taste, the bed comfortable, warm , with all necessary amenities. The shower and toilet clean and comfortable, the lights good, towels etc adequate for a comfortable stay. The location was good, walking distance from the centre and near sights. Free parking on site or nearby. Would stay again.

The property was in a good location. The hosts were fabulous. Couldn’t do enough to help us. Breakfast was excellent. The property was spotless clean and they had provided all the facilities to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this property and have already done so to friends and family. We will be returning here sometime in the future.
