Hotel Tropis is one of the best hotels in Tropea, me and my family enjoyed our time here. The room was A LOT bigger than what I expected 😁. It looked newly renovated, new furniture. Not only our room, but the whole hotel is very clean and well organized. The staff is wonderful. The waiters were very polite, fast and nice. The reception staff really helpful with every request, also good English. Housekeeping ladies very discreet, didn't bother us once, yet the room was cleaned every single day. Magic! Pool/bar waiters also nice, I was given more than what I ordered. The food was ok. The breakfast swedish buffet had about everything that it should. For dinner a list had to be completed upon arrival, every day. It was structured in: antipasti, primo piatti, secondo piatti, contorni and dessert. It could have been more varied, not everybody likes fish. Pool area was awesome. The pool is not huge, but clean and sufficient. Sunbeds were also on the upper level of the pool area, on layers of synthetic grass, wonderful idea.

The distance from the hotel to the beach is a bit too long, but I already knew that before booking. Some little bottles of shower gel would have been great, like most hotels have. Also, at least one bottle of water per day was expected, didn't happen. The balcony area of the room could have been better.

Really good location, short walk from train station and fairly easy walk to centro storico. Room was clean and fairly spacious (shower was a bit small but nothing to complain about). Breakfast was a nice continental buffet with something for everyone to enjoy. Lovely pool area!

Only negative thing was having to walk uphill to get to the hotel itself but not a huge issue really.

I enjoyed everything about the stay ! Staff, service during meal, cleanliness and meals.

Although there is a shuttle to the beach and it’s walking distance to the town, there are a lot of stairs or not level streets to walk which makes it difficult when not physically in shape.

Amazing terrace in our large sized room. Wonderful clean pool with comfortable sun loungers. Great breakfast. Pool bar which offers drinks and snacks poolside. It was perfect for us due to the free, private parking during our road trip in Calabria. On google maps it looks a little far from the centre but within 5 minutes walk you are there. I liked being able to avoid the hustle and bustle of Tropea when I wanted to.

Pool toilet flush was broken and was pretty disgusting. The lock on the woman's bathroom did not work. No one seemed to attempt to fix this during our visit. I just used the bathroom in our room. Bathrooms are outdated and shower was not great. They offer a shuttle to the beach but charge 35 euros for this. No thanks.

Great location best views from our Seaview room, pool was a bonus, room cleaning staff were so lovely and helpful, always greeting you with a smile, front desk staff were also very happy to help, especially young Guy at reception, nothing was a problem

In restaurant for brekky, if you didn’t speak local language, some staff ignored you, the guy in charge did a great job seating everyone

Very clean, close to the train station yet the train is not heard. A few minutes walk to the centre and around 20mins to the beach however note that going back to the hotel it's an uphill. Very tranquil area, pool is quite large and very clean. Had showers and toilets which could be used after check out.

A bit over priced, breakfast was the same every day

The hotel is really nice, with beautiful architecture and a very big pool. It's very close to the train station and to the old town, like 10 minutes away. The room I stayed in was for a single person, and it was comfortable. The staff i very kind, thank Benito. The breakfast was really good too.

The step in the bathroom almost got me

With young children and seniors , a taxi is necessary to go down to the lido. We would pay 25-40 euros for a taxi. Then the cost of the lido is a minimum of 35 euros for a parasol and two lounge chairs. We went to the Roccette and were satisfied because it was walkable early in the morning.

It was just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Tropea, where you’ll find loads of shops, restaurants, cafes and even excursion centres. It was also close to the beaches and the port. The hotel offered a great selection for breakfast, and they even do lunch and dinners too, which I unfortunately did not do. Their pool was quite big, and they also have free parking, if you have a car. I’d have no hesitation in staying at this place again. Loved it!

Amazing location, pool was awesome - massive and great temperature-gorgeous views as well and lovely areas to hang out in outside. The breakfast was delicious - huge variety. Our room was huge and the beds were so comfortable. Short walk to all the shops and restaurants . Lovely and helpful staff. Would highly recommend .
