The front reception lady, I'm so sorry I forgot her name, but she wears glasses and is the main person there. SHE was fantastic and so kind (we forgot our towels). Customer service and friendliness is the reason I would return. The facilities were great too, clean and had the spa and the indoor pool. Plenty of space. It was a great place made extra special by staff. We had a cabin close to the facilities too. Place was super clean.

Late comers in the middle of the night, big busses etc, then people in the next cabin arriving late, like late and being loud and noisey. But these things can't be helped and not the campgrounds fault.

Staff were great. Grounds were lovely and our dogs were most welcome.

Not having a sink to wash dishes in. Having to wash them in the basin was not hygienic and there was nowhere to put them once they were wet. The design of the unit could have been better. The bench would have been better next to the bathroom for plumbing. There were no comfortable chairs. We spent 7 nights trying to sit on the bed not enough pillows to prop ourselves up with. Not comfortable. We ended up with a sore back and neck. Nowhere to put your luggage except on spare bed which was not hygenic either.

Lovely, friendly staff on reception when we checked in. The rooms were clean and we had all we needed for a short stay. The electric blanket was great and the beds were comfortable enough.

The pool felt colder than 27 degrees (maybe it had not been kept covered after use as suggested by the motel). Not a major problem if guests are quiet but thin walls mean you do hear the next cabins sliding doors and walking along the deck quite loudly.

Kids loved the onsite heated pool and nearby child-friendly facilities in Stratford. Just down the road to a great playground with skatepark, bike pump track, cycle track (mini road system) half basketball court, BBQ pavilion. We knew in advance and brought skateboards and scooters. And all for free... Also a new aquatic centre which no one wanted to leave. And beautiful walking trails which can be accessed from the camp. Everything is close including heaps of takeaways and some nice bakeries and cafes in walking distance. Stratford was a wonderful school holiday destination. The staff were lovely and very friendly.

Our cabin was cosy and adequate for us but in need of renovation. There were some new units onsite and they looked very nice.

Lovely clean cabin with ensuite and kitchenette. Heated pool available and a hot tub for $8 for 30 minutes for up to 3 people (it was lush). Very close to a river walk and a short walk to town. The town was nice and we loved that the streets were named after Shakespeare characters. Easy drive to the Mount Taranaki walks.

Not really enough space to store stuff. Only a tiny breadboard to cut up food.

Beautiful and green location close to city amenities as well as a base to explore Egmont national park. We had 1-bedroom cabin with living area and kitchen. They also have BBQ in shared space, playground and swimpool. Overall the place is good to spend time and very kid-friendly.

A bit cold in the night. We had heater but I guess that was not enough. Still ok for double bed with electric sheets, but my kid got cold. I couldn't use wifi in our cabin, it was available closer to receptoon though.

Good enough to prepare me for the climbing and heal and refresh me afterwards. Kathy was kind enough to resolve some issues with booking.com and cheerfully welcomed me with prompt assistance. The room was minimally installed, but I had everything I needed, including a shared shower and kitchen, a fantastic park behind it, and nearby restaurants. Thank you for everything.

Had a great stay at Stratford Motel & Holiday Park! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Taranaki. Loved the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, with easy access to Mt. Taranaki, Dawson Falls, and Wilkies Pools. A great spot for a relaxing stay or an adventure-filled getaway

I liked the location (off the main highway + very quiet): I liked the fact I could check-in-in-person and the fact I could park next to my studio; the Receptionist was fantastic (Sunday 26 January around 3.15-3-30pm. The studio was perfect and spotless: great shower and very comfortable bed; it had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Fantastic.

We were met and recognised as returning customers with a warm welcome. The whole place from the rooms to the bathroom and kitchen are always kept scrupulously clean. There have been some upgrades in the bathroom featuring a line of new basins. I can't recommend the place higher. Very impressed and having the right people overseeing it is the cherry on the top. Very friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble.
