Very good and welcoming house with the great owners, who provided extremely detailed and clear instructions on everything. The rooms were good, the beds were cosy and if we could stay more than just for one night it would be absolutely a pleasure.

Finding the place was a bit of a quest as the navigation systems struggle to recognize the location and even when you find it is not so obvious as the first building on the premises is not the right one and in the dark it is not clear where is the right building. Thanks to the neighbours we found the house, but it could get worse. And this is despite very clear instructions the owners are providing. Finding the key was another challenge and we had to bother the owners quite late to be guided. And again the very clear instructions were provided, but we still failed to find it without additional guidance. Some easier location for the key locker can be recommended.

The location is perfect Short drive to hobbiton and located just across a hot pools place. The house is shared with Ken and Kathy The house is modern and super comfortable. Amenities are amazing and the breakfast provided was great. We loved staying there. Beds are also so comfy and the shower was amazing too

Beautiful property overlooking the golf course and the surrounding countryside. The beds weee so comfortable and everything was spotless. The instructions were clear and great tips about the surrounding areas. The hot springs across the road were great too! Thanks Ken and Kathy

Beautiful place enveloped by natural wonders NZ has been famous for. Great hosts, Ken and Cathy, feeling us so welcome like we were part of an extended family. A home away from home. Thank you, Ken and Cathy for your great hospitality and for sharing your wonderful home.

A bit dark driving at night and could easily miss their entrance.

A bright, spacious home. We were treated very well, even offered a second room so we didn’t have to share a bed (we are a mom and adult daughter) probably the best night of sleep I’ve had so far. Ken even picked some fruit from his trees for us. The grapefruits were amazing!

Modern, clean, comfortable and beautiful location opposite the golf course. Lovely hosts, made our stay even better - great communication, welcoming us into their home and very thoughtful with breakfast set up and snacks for the day. We would love to return next year if my daughter plays golf up that way again.

Leaving

The house met our needs well with 1 room with a double bed and another room with 2 single beds. Instructions for arrival were clear and the food left for breakfast was appreciated. The house was 20 minutes from Hobbiton, which was the reason for our stay.

Perfect location, nice and tidy place and super spot for excursions in the Matamata area. You need to be open for "closer contact" as this is not a huge place and BnB combined with the living place of the owner. Even if we didn't meet the hosts and had the whole place to ourselves, there was nothing missing. Perfectly clear instructions and breakfast provided. Absolutely recommended.

Despite our late arrival notification, Lynda coordinated everything perfectly for us on short notice. When we arrived, we were greeted by the warm, welcoming glow of the lodge's lights, creating an inviting atmosphere. Our room was quiet, clean, and cosy.

In the country but not to far to be inconvenient. Pleasant breakfast and freedom to help myself. Comfortable bedding and good conversation with hosts.

A bit hard to find the gateway in the dark. I am not a smoker and don't particularly like the smell of cigarettes. While there was no smell of smoke in terms of the bedding or furniture or within the home in general, I could smell it on the smokers' clothing.
