It was a wonderful experience staying in this "country inn". We booked this for our stay in Berchtesgaden, because we wanted to be away from the town and out in the fields and the mountains, and we were not disappointed! The pension itself is beautifully situated, and we had a room with a balcony, from which we could gaze up the valley towards the Wimbachklamm (the gorge of the Wimbach stream, well worth a visit). For lovers of tradition, this place is a pure delight, with original paintings of the surrounding scenery adorning the walls, and even some "Lüflmalerei" scenes painted on the walls themselves. We ate in the restaurant every evening, and we strongly recomment the menu. The staff were all charming and helpful.

The Host was very welcoming, the view was amazing, and the location was just out of the way enough that it felt like a getaway but things were all nearby via transit or a 5-10 mins drive

1 time we had a struggle to find parking due to the restaurant on the main floor attracting more people, it would be nice if there was some spots reserved for hotel guests but this was only an issue once

Nice traditional accommodation near Konigssee in a beautiful location. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. We did get also dinner that was really tasty and nice. Room was sufficiently big and clean. We regretted not to have more time to stay.

The price is a bit on the high side ( perhaps explained by high season during end of year break).

Would be better if the windows have (blackout) jalousie for more privacy

Richard and staff were amazing! They treated us like family and made sure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was our favorite of our two week trip in Germany. Highly recommend for a quiet local feel away from the hustle and bustle.

Decent size room immaculately clean with balcony with great view. Set by the mountain side we went to sleep with the sounds from the river rushing by.

My wife and I stayed here for New Year's Eve; our tradition is to go for a hike every new year. I was given the warmest welcome by Frau Anja upon arrival. Pension Hocheck is a small and quaint place to stay where everyone is tight-knit. They had a pre-fixe menu for the New Year celebration, with automatic reservations for pension guests, and the food was great! There is access to many great hiking trails within walking distance of the pension. Pension Hocheck is very close to Berchtesgaden and all other Sees or attractions. Highly Recommend!

After 6 pm there weren't any staff at building , other guest tell us how order drinks . It would be better the staffs explains the rules

we had dinner one night, and it was not good. even the potato chips were not cooked properly.
