cool place if you’re not after the big resorts. very chilled and authentic. we did go for breakfast at 8:30 and there were no staff around and no breakfast so not sure what was happening as no one told us but other than that it was good.

few cockroaches in shower but as it’s in the open you expect to see insects I suppose. it’s a good 15/20 mins from Mai khao town so recommend you hire a moped from them and explore the town for proper Thai food.

Beautiful spot right on the beach. I had a comfortable villa with a sea view & lovely balcony set within a tropical garden. The bamboo cottages behind the villas are even more typically Thai Felt like I was right back to nature amongst the chickens & doggies. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. This traditional Thai resort is tucked away next to a lot of larger expensive hotels. Staff were friendly & helpful. Position unique. Stayed 8 nights while I worked as a volunteer at Soi Dog Foundation for 3 days. An experience any animal lover must do. 10 minutes in a tuk-tuk from this hotel https://www.soidog.org/volunteer

It was 100 meters from the water line, fantastic view over the sea and hearing the waves crashing was wonderful. The staff was amazing and the free breakfast was HUGE. Great dinners and lunches too at the restaurant. Bonus was I flew my dog in from Spain so he could just run around as much as he wanted.

The bed was a bit hard but nothing to complain about.

We found a bouquet in the room as soon as we arrived, it was a beautiful surprise! The food was very good, even though with the language barrier we received different dishes twice. The sunset is spectacular, one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The beach is sloping and the sea goes deep immediately, be careful with children :) There are lots of dogs, roosters and hens free, they do not bother in any way and are really sweet! For the price paid I recommend it

The property is tucked in between 2 large properties right on the most gorgeous beach!! Very laid back place. Not fancy, but comfortable and great for our short stay. Nice little bungalow steps from the beach with plenty of room and a huge bathroom. They had a restaurant on property that smelled great and a cute tiki bar for drinks. A large resort next door provided a casual beach restaurant and a very nice Thai restaurant for dinner with a beautiful view, so plenty of options.

Slight language barrier but used the phone to translate. Wish they had lounge chairs instead of upright chairs on the beach.

Location is lovely & convenient for the airport! Crystal clear water, meters from our bungalow in the Andaman Sea. It’s surrounded by 5 star properties yet Mickey Monkey’s cute and simple ‘rusticness’ is its draw card. The beautiful dogs and free roaming chickens make it feel like you’re staying on a farm. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable. Views to the sea from the private balcony, bed & shower of the villa/bungalow. Food in the restaurant was delicious. We hired a great (looked brand new) moped from them. It’s about a 5-10min ride to Mai Khao town and the airport viewpoint. My husband dropped one of his new AirPods on the last day, the hotel found it and are very kindly sending it to us in Australia. We would stay here again. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Location right on beach; magnificent, beautiful, quiet, stunning location….i could go on! In between posh hotels but had much more character and charm….a touch of Old Thailand with cockerels roaming around. Nice breakfast, though limited choice. Comfortable room with adequate facilities. Friendly staff. Evening meal and drinks possible on site. Prices for food and drink very reasonable. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

We returned to Mickey Beach Hotel after 3 weeks touring Thailand. It's a 500 baht taxi from the airport so grerat for arrival or departure and is a magical spot underneath tall pine-like trees with small single-room bungalows or cottages in sand within yards of the sea. A central bar and restaurant with tables under the trees in close view of the sea. Amiable staff, great food, great location. Fantastic thai massage available on beach.

The abundant and freeranging chickens are charming but their pre-dawn chorus and constant nocturnal crowing is very hard to sleep through!!!!

Very nice place, the beach is very private, close to the airport. Good restaurant with large breakfast included. Was greeted with a welcome drink during check-in! The lady at reception helped me book a taxi to the airport. Lots of chickens around, dogs and a turkey, very cute.

The room was a little small, but the "porch" made up for it. Bathroom was separated, so had to walk a bit through the sand. Shower didn't have hot water.
