Wonderful host, full of personality and genuinely wanting to spend time with her guests. Very comfortable bed and clean. Lovely home cooked 3 course dinner and plenty of options available for breakfast. Quiet countryside location with adorable dogs. Super helpful with giving me a lift back into the Hunua ranges area. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay thank you!!

Would be a nice touch if shampoo/conditioner were also provided :) Didn't realize the house was under renovation but that didn't bother me as it still had all the facilities I needed, just thought to mention as an FYI for anyone planning on booking.

Everything. Claire and Steve are very nice. We had some nice chat and some good laughs. Breakfast was an added bonus to start your day. Highly recommended.

I was traveling on my motorcycle and the place is good 200 meters from the road. And those 200 meters are not smooth tarmac and neither are they flat. Off road conditions but I managed on my sport tourer motorcycle. It was not a big issue in the end. But I can definitely see an inexperienced motorcycle rider struggling. But then again, how often they get people traveling on motorcycles. :-)

The property is in a beautiful semi-rural location and is near the walking tracks of the Hunua Range's forest and regional park. The house was cosy and warm and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast choice of cereals was good and the optional extra of having an evening meal proved excellent, with most of the delicious food, including dessert, grown on the property. Host Claire was friendly and was knowledgeable about local attractions.

Bedroom was beautifully presented with a nice view of rural countryside. Hostess prepared very nice meal for extra charge. Very clean bathroom with towels provided. Overall a great experience here.

Soap not rinsed off the dishes before serving food on them. Noise from driveway security beeping at night that was disturbing when nocturnal creatures walked in and out of the driveway area. I felt $10 for laundry charge was quite expensive. I could do it for $3-5 at the laundromat in Auckland.

Claire is a great host, we were greeted by their friendly little dogs. The couple has a real farm feel hospitality and are down to earth. Room is lovely and the bed was comfy with soft linen. Had some nostalgic chats about the good old days of show jumping. Really felt comfortable and at home. Actually missed staying here even if it was for one night... We will definitely return and stay few days next time...

I booked last minute and everything was perfect! The farm is really beautiful, its a working farm with all sorts of animals and the hunua ranges at the end of the fields/paddocks. the kind lady even provided me with adhoc dinner as I hadnt eaten all day (flight delay). brekki is "help yourself and clean up after yourself" - i like this down to earth attitude. there's a booklet in the room with all sorts of information like things to do and wifi code aso. bathroom/showers are shared but clean and spacious, and I was the only one there at the time so it felt private. def worth the money!

there cd ve been a signpost at the main road (as there are two lanes right next to each other - and i picked the wrong one at first, of course - use the one on the left!) and/or at the property (even when there I wasnt sure this was the right place until the lady came out to greet me)

The B&B was so homely with an absolutely amazing host. Claire was so welcoming and very accommodating. She was very knowledgeable in the surrounding area and even made me a delicious dinner on arrival from all fresh ingredients that were grown by Claire herself or locally sourced. Breakfast was great as I could just do my own thing, there was plenty to help yourself from. Was the most peaceful nights sleep I had on my whole new Zealand trip.

Beautiful location and a great sleep and rest just before tackling the difficult Auckland traffic. Breakfast was perfect for me. I usually have a light breakfast like this one.

Probably a better explanation of the correct driveway to take, although it didn't really hold me up at all. Many people will find the 9am checkout time a bit early, but I understand there is a bit of flexibility around that.

The surroundings were stunning, the room was very clean and there were some cute dogs and cows to pet! The couple was extremely friendly and cooked a fantastic dinner. Special shout-out to Molly the dog, who was the sweetest girl ever.

Not much to complain about! The driveway was very steep.

Its close enough if you need shops and far enough away that you don't feel like your near a city. For me that's the ideal location for a good getaway. I had a room upstairs. The room was clean, spacious and a nice little haven to chill out in. The view was bliss looking out onto a farm and bush land. The best part of my stay was Claire and her homely hospitality. She is what makes this place feel like home away from home. I actually didn't want to leave. I felt a-bit sad when I checked out. Chatting with Claire and James (another guest) was an absolute added bonus. Thank you Claire for your great hospitality, the awesome chats with yourself and James and for making me feel like an old mate that hadn't visited in a while. I'd love to stop by for a coffee sometime. I would absolutely without hesitation stay here again as well as recommend it to others.
