The hotel is located in a quiet village near London. It is very clean, modern, and stylishly furnished. The staff was always approachable and friendly, and everything was very simple. The room had everything you need, even an iron and hairdryer. Cookies, tea, and a kettle were also provided :)

Unfortunately, public transport is a bit difficult without a car. Train and bus services involve a longer walk of 15 to 20 minutes. But that's okay. One major criticism is the heat of the room in the summer. It was about 30 degrees Celsius, and the windows were constructed in such a way that ventilation at night was impossible. Even the fan couldn't help much. This made sleep very difficult. Definitely not recommended on very hot days. The staff kindly warned us, though ;)

Although this accommodation is provided by a pub it is in a separate building so there was no noise from the pub. The room was very nicely decorated, it was a good size with a good size bathroom and large shower. The bed was a double and was comfortable. Blackout curtains helped with sleeping. There was no air conditioning and the weather was warm but a fan was provided in the room which was helpful. Breakfast was served in the pub restaurant which is lovely and quaint. It is self serve for continental and additional cooked items were made to order, food was good. Parking is free and at the back of the hotel. I would stay here again.

The toilet seat was loose on the top of the toilet so when you sat down it moved. The shower did not have a dedicated shower mat or one for outside the shower Bed wise. I am not a great fan of having a really thick duvet cover. An option to have a thinner one placed on the bed before you arrive would be great and air conditioning should be standard.

The room was really clean, comfortable, nicely furnished, modern. I liked the bathroom as it had a big shower head over, so I could just let the water pour on me and relax, and was also modern furnished, and nice fluffy towels. All the building was really good-looking, with double-glazed windows and solid doors. The reception desk was open 24h. The pub was literally just 10 feet away from the reception. It was also really nice furnished, with plenty tables inside, as well outside on the terrace. Staff was really professional and friendly. The food was great, so were the drinks. I had Double Chicken from the dinner menu, with a glass of white wine, and I struggled to eat everything, as the portion was big. The wine was just great. I paid around 25£ for the meal. And for the room, for only one night, solo traveler, around 85£. I would say it was not cheap, but the location was really good, quiet, close to Stanstead Airport, and I would dare to say posh enough. I would definetly go again!

Great Location as we wanted something close to the M11 WITH FREE PARKING AND A SUPER pub next door where we had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks. Check in was very smooth and the lady on check in was lovely. The room was very nice and clean. Nice towels and tea and coffee plus biscuits was much appreciated. The window opened which always pleases us.

Although the window opened it was still rather stuffy in our room - it was a very warm night though. Nothing else this is a very nice hotel with a great pub next door for dinner and drinks. We cannot comment on breakfast as we didn't have it.

The bath tub was dangerous….the tub was the width of my two feet sideways and with the slope in the tub it wasn’t safe….you couldn’t turn around safely to get to soap/shampoo that was beside the the shower pipes….a grab bar would help…definitely not safe for older people. While the sink looks nice it’s not practical as the counter would get soaked due to the configuration of the taps….very dark room and bathroom…yellow lights are used which for us women that like to put makeup on you can’t tell if you look like a clown by putting too much blush on.

As I was in a wedding party some of the wedding guests on the next table had received their meal before our order was taken

Lovely room, modern and clean bathroom, nice to have proper coffee bags and decent tea. The room décor definitely exceeded expectations. Night porter who checked us in late was lovely, and the reception staff in the morning were friendly and helpful.

To be honest the only let-down was the breakfast - the menu looked great but in reality it was a little disappointing - poached eggs were all overcooked and the breakfast lacked any seasoning so didn't really taste of anything. No one came to ask how it was so we didn't say anything.

A tastefully decorated, beautifully clean and very comfortable hotel behind the pub. The reception staff, Janna and her colleague, were superbly helpful, friendly and professional. The parking was spacious and convenient, the village setting was delightful, and even though it's on a fairly busy road, the hotel was well positioned and quiet. The food in the pub at the front was excellent - dinner and breakfast also excellent, with helpful and efficient staff. It's easy to find from the motorway if you're breaking your journey south to the ferry.

All staff were very friendly and helpful.in particular Georgia was great and Sophia was excellent, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menus etc. The rooms were modern and I liked the styling however with lack of maintenance they will tire and fall apart very easily. The tap was loose and already parts were missing on the shower assembly and it had had repairs already. I think this will be become a real problem going forward as the receptionist said the parts were no longer available. The loose tap and loose toilet handle were sorted when I reported them however so that was good but working in the building trade myself I know these issues will return. The designer for these rooms didn’t really allow for these issues when choosing the finishing touches around the bathroom areas in particular. The sanitary products chosen were too fussy and not the best quality for a hotel facility and therefore will not last in opinion. Hope this helps

See above. The full English breakfasts were described as having 2 sausages. Every time I had this it came with 1 sausage so the chef needs to revisit the menus I think! Also whenever I requested scrambled egg option on a few different breakfasts the amount was very stingy just a little more than an egg cup amount lol.
