Amazing hotel! Lovely and modern, spotless and the staff cannot do enough for you. Also only a 5 minute walk from the beach front and has a bus stop within a 2 minute walk making it easy to get to and from the airport and also to explore other parts of Palma. All the staff always have a smile on their faces and are there to help with anything you may need. We visited Palma one day and didn’t have much clue about what to see/where to go but the lovely lady on reception marked a map up and gave us so much advice on the best areas/sights. Antonio who works on the bar was also amazing!! Cannot fault this hotel at all, don’t let the 2* rating put you off as it deserves to be much higher than that!

First of all, the staff is the most important in a hotel. All we met were very helpful and friendly, yet with very different personalities. The people at reception gave clear instructions, insightful advices and gave us help when asked for. Breakfast staff was pleasant and efficient, and the breakfast surprisingly varied (one could choose between two set menus or a few choices to design your own menu). The hotel is quite recently renovated, and therefore still feels "fresh" and clean. The room had a good size, bright colors and all that you would expect from a two-star hotel. Location is convenient, situated just 200 meters from a bus-stop, and 5 minutes walk to nearest beach, many restaurants (although the best restaurant we found in Palmanova is in the same building: Trattoria Pizzeria da Bruno) and convenience shops.

Given the price and being a two-star hotel, there is no major issues to complain about. However, there was a gap between bed and headboard and given the cylindrical shape of the pillows, one might wake up in the middle of the night where the pillow had been "trapped" in the gap. It would be nice to have a few hooks in the bathroom. Our neighbors were generally not loud, but at times one could hear sounds from outside the room.

The staff - especially Antonio and Jose behind the bar and the reception staff. Newly renovated Hotel very close to bus stops (Majorcan bus service is fab - £6.60 (from airport for 2) air conditioned simply tap on & off with debit card) Comfy sun beds round the small pool, always one available. Drinks very reasonable - 3euros for large beer compared to 5.50 in palmanova. Pleasant walk to son caliu beach. Asked for kettle and cups - they were provided. Just as a side note - there is a hand soap dispenser but nothing else in room. The pizza/Italian just down the road is just fine! Trattoria I think it’s called….

Toilet was very cramped - wouldn’t fit on it if you’re on the larger side. Could hear neighbours talking in their room a couple of evenings. There are no nice views but knew that before booking. Breakfast was a little confusing - but once we got the hang of it is was okay - tad monotonous but okay for a few days.

Lovely stay at the Gabarda. Very modern feel to the hotel with a lovely area for breakfast or just a drink as you first go into the hotel. Poolside bar which had a fully stocked fridge at reasonable prices. Rooms were perfect and immaculate. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice. Staff made you feel very welcome throughout my stay. We spent our time at the sister hotel’s pool area (round the corner) and the pool and sun lounger area was perfect. Location is also ideal, 5-10 minute walk from the beach where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Bus stop 5 minute walk from the hotel which we used for trips to the waterpark and Palma.

5 day break with my friend - 2 females aged 50. Found Gabarda spotlessly clean and always smelt lovely. Air conditioning worked brilliantly in the 30 degree heat. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the cooked to order breakfast was wonderful. You have a choice of a an english breakfast (either with sausage and bacon or veggie) this comes with a slice of toast, or you can have a bacon roll or omelette or 2 smaller continental items/fruit etc and you get a choice of tea, hot chocolate, or coffee AND also a choice of juice additional drinks have to be purchased. Our room was 202 clean and comfortable. Be aware there is 3 floors but no lift and no ground floor bedrooms. Easy walking to the beach front and restaurants - we had lovely meals at my tapas (10 mins walk) as well as Barbuda bar and grill which is further down (20 mins) and has stunning sea views both meals around 40euros a head including drinks. For a cheap quick meal Pizza Nova take away is 2 mins walk and the pizza is made fresh - they also serve drinks and you can sit outside (open until 1am) The pool is small - as shown on listing, but was never overcrowded - you can also use the pool at Martinez apartment 2 mins away which is a bit nicer we thought.

We were in room 202 and the bathroom layout is terrible - huge shower which was fab but filled so much space that they’ve put the (massive sink) in front of the toilet - which means you had to do some kind of crab impression to scoot round to pull up your clothes etc - we made it work - but if you were on the bigger side or had disabilities you would struggle. we got the bus back to the airport which was 6.50 euros each so saved on a taxi - it’s the A11 Aerporto and runs about every 20 mins - super easy to find 5 mins walk from hotel - and drops you straight outside departures

It’s very modern and clean plus the rooms are gorgeous the staff are exceptional they are so friendly and accommodating I couldn’t fault any of them truly they made the stay very enjoyable, all were amazing, for example there was work going on at the pool one of the days and they were very accommodating and even let us know we could use there other pool. Jose Miguel one of the staff here was really exceptional and went the extra mile for us. The cleaners always left the room spotless and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back again.

Couldn’t fault it , we knew from the reviews that the pool wasn’t the biggest this didn’t affect us at all was the perfect size.

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, booking tickets for a show and offering great recommendations for sights to see. While the hotel pool is on the smaller side, it's perfect for days when you just want to lounge on the recliners and soak up the sun. The hotel bar is well-stocked with cold drinks, cocktails and snacks, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared a la carte. The 24-hour reception was convenient for our early checkout. The rooms matched the descriptions—bright, spacious, and clean, including the bathrooms. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are well-decorated and look newly renovated. I don't know why the hotel only has 2 stars; the quality of service was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples. It's in a great location, just a few minutes from the beach. The area is peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy all the beaches, restaurants, and shops along the promenade.

Very polite and friendly staff, interesting breakfast options, clean room and daily cleaning and linen change, refrigerator and air conditioner in the room. In the lobby there is a large refrigerator with snacks, drinks and alcohol, also the bar is open until 1 a.m., you can order hot snacks and a delicious cocktail and sit at the tables by the pool.

Very cramped bathroom, the absence of a soap dish near the sink, it was attached only in the shower area and served both as soap and as shampoo and shower gel, in my opinion this is a very bad option, because we flew low-cost and did not take gel and shampoo, expecting that the hotel provides these means in separate tubes. Also keep in mind that there is no elevator.

Hotel was in a lovely quiet area, about 5mins walk to the nearest beach. 2 min walk to the bus stop. Hotel itself was recently refurbished and was bright and modern. Rooms were spotless and the air-con was fantastic. Was quiet at night, no noise from the street. Breakfast was good and cooked to order, plenty of choice. The staff here are a credit...they are all so friendly and extremely helpful. Happy in their jobs

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in early May, and everything was excellent. The rooms are newly renovated, spotless, with fresh linens and a clean bathroom. Daily housekeeping was provided. The staff was super helpful—they assisted us with everything! Breakfasts were delicious, and the variety over five days was just enough (any longer might’ve gotten repetitive). The bus stop to Palma is 3min away. The reality fully matches the photos – no disappointments! Highly recommend!
