The room was clean and bed comfy. The location of the motel is outside the busy town area of Innisfail yet close enough to supermarkets and restaurants. Rooms are serviced daily which we didn’t expect.

The room was a fair bit smaller than we expected, so we felt a little cramped. The carports are low clearance so our 4wd could not fit under - there are open air parks, however the motel was very busy with bookings for workers arriving in 4wd’s and small trucks so could easily miss out on a suitable carpark if you didn’t check in early enough and need a park not undercover.

I left a review awhile back in regard to the state of the rooms and I can say the owners have taken that review into consideration. Our family decided to rebook for a family trip at the Barrier Reef and this time round the rooms were exceptional cleaned and fresh, beds are comfortable, rooms have all you need for a family to stay and be comfortable. I can say they have stepped up their game and are doing a great job. The staff were very nice and polite and accommodated for our family as we had multiple rooms and bookings this time round.

We had a family room and it had all the easy amenities we wanted - a long enough surface for picnic bags and food prep, a good hot shower, good bedding and a few chairs. Parking was easy. There were free-t-pick-up brochures for many local and wider activities.

To be fair, for the price, there was nothing more that we could have wanted. The location was close enough to the activities we wanted.

I have stayed at this motel quite a bit but since it has changed hands I feel it has gone down in standards a little. The check in process was easy though.

We didn't like the fact that the restaurant had closed since the new ownership. The reception was messy and a little dirty. Our room was clean and comfortable though there wasn't a bedside table by the second bed.

Location was good. Bed was very comfortable. Unit was very clean.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom (which came on when you turned lights on) was extremely loud. Light was coming in through the main door at all times so during the night could not have total blackout. Need to watch the driveway as you drive in and out - need to drive in/out on definate angle.

The Beds were very comfortable and private undercover parking outside our room. Quiet rooms solid bessa brick walls.close proximity to town and a fantastic fruit stand under the trees right across the road from the motel selling all kinds of beautiful local fruit.

Restaurant wasn’t open and Aircon was a bit noisy at night

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Barrier Reef Motel, Innisfail. And I felt compelled to share my positive experience, particularly regarding the outstanding service provided by the gentleman at the reception. Handled my check in swiftly. Made me feel valued as a guest. The room was clean, Comfortable, and well maintained. The amenities provided added value to my stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to others.

Comfortable beds friendly staff, quiet rooms convenient parking under cover tin roof. We were in town for a funeral and it was just around the corner walking distance from motel. Close to restaurants only short drive.

Restaurant was not operating due to staff shortages, noise Aircon .

Good size room. Clean and comfy great location

Front door stiff difficult to open or close. Couldn’t find light in hall way so at night difficult to get key in lock Shower head wouldn’t stay up
