The motel was chosen because of its value and location. It was clean and tidy, basic, but fulfilled all of our requirements and needs,it was quiet and clean that was all we needed. Check in was a breeze.

To be honest it was a bit tired but so were we. It could probably do with some money spent on it. For the market we represent it was fine.

The property was great value at $105 a night during school holidays. The room was small but featured a double and a single bed, small fridge and tea/coffee caddy. Beds were quite comfortable and everything was clean. An excellent decision by the owner was to renovate the rooms and lay tiles. Clean, cool odour free tiles, it makes a massive difference in a warm climate. The bathroom has an opening window. You can park right at your door, it’s a smaller complex of 10 units. It’s located just off the highway, there was no traffic noise that we noticed. This was good value as a place to sleep and shower.

The bathroom is very narrow with nowhere to hang your clothes or place a toiletries bag. Each room has a table and chairs in front, so there are smokers chatting away all night 2 metres from where you are sleeping. A seperate smokers area would be great.

The room was very clean and looks like updated recently. The manager was very friendly and welcoming, the housekeeper was very thorough. Nothing was a problem to the staff. Close to shops and restaurants. Value for money and happy to stay again.

Very clean, and comfortable, parking is right at the door, very convenient and it's off-street. The owner is very friendly & so are the staff members, I would be staying here again when visiting this beautiful little town

Friendly, easy going staff. Good WiFi compared to other places in the region. Good central location for visiting waterfalls, walks, lakes, and other local attractions. Close to takeaway stores, restaurants and supermarket.

Pool was closed. Ceiling tiles in the room looked pretty old and need replacing (stained and sagging). One of the many power points in our room didn't work (wasn't really a problem). As we were checking out we noticed what appered to be a communal kitchen which we would have liked to know about, however the host didn't mention it.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The couple in reception were very friendly. It was a very quiet location, even though the motel appeared to be fully booked or close to it.

I didn't like the smell of cigarettes in the reception area or the full ashtrays on the outside tables of the rooms near us. No smell whatsoever in the room so we stayed inside. It would not have been a problem only it has me coughing but that is my problem not someone else's so all ok.

Great for an overnight stay. Super close to Roscoe's piazza which was convenient haha. Staff were super kind when we arrived late for check in and I had to call them. Easy driving distance to Etty Bay and waterfall circuit

No hairdryer available in our room, but I'm sure they would have given me one had I asked.

Room was clean, Reception was available for a 7:00 pm, late arrival and the reception staff were friendly and efficient in helping to resolve any unforeseen issue. The room was quiet. On one day they were able to allocate a room at quite short notice for an extended stay.

This motel provides a good basic service and abode to travellers. A small point would be that the room numbers on motel room doors could be a darker color to contrast with the panted door color, so that they can be seen on arrival during day, night or rain by the driver, from inside the car.

The lady running the front desk was very nice

My only sinch was that we weren't allowed to smoke right outside the door, however it is a very understandable and reasonable rule

The Black Marlin Motel is close to Innisfail CBD. The motel is clean and located in a quiet part of the Innisfail CBD. If I have to rate the motel I will give the Black Marlin Motel ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️ (5 STAR RATE) 🙂
