My wife and I travelled up from Edinburgh for a wedding. I phone them and told them that I was running late, and asked them when they stopped serving evening meals, was informed that they stopped serving at 2100hrs, but told me that if it was slightly later they would accommodate us. The Staff, from the waitress and the bar staff couldn't do enough for us. Loads of helpful information. Breakfast was nice and plentiful, all freshly cooked. On the day of departure, we needed an early breakfast at 0700hrs, which they also accommodated. We hopefully will return.

The Aberdeen Arms was delightful in every way. The staff were incredibly helpful. We were able to check in early on the first day without any issues. They were super-attentive and also just lovely to have a chat to throughout our stay. Our room was great. Lovely comfy bed. The breakfasts were delicious (and huge!) and it was also enjoyable to have a pint with the locals in the evening at the bar. The team at the Aberdeen Arms made us feel so welcome. I'd highly recommend a visit!

The staff were exceptional especially the young lady who checked us in. She went above and beyond as I suffer from sciatica and was in bad pain on that particular day, and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had dinner that evening and the food was 10/10, such big portions couldn’t manage a dessert and our dog could also be beside us in a different area. The breakfast by Val was also 10/10, such a lovely person. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom also clean. Will definitely be back. We went back a second time for an evening meal for my birthday the food was so good and we had a 3 course meal.

We stayed for two nights and couldn't have felt more at home! All the staff were super friendly and happy to help, the room was quiet, cosy, and well equipped, and Tarves is a beautiful place to explore! The food was excellent, both for breakfast and dinner, and the bar is very fairly priced too. We travelled with our dogs who got a bit spooked and barked at the cleaner when left in the room at breakfast, but all the staff were very understanding and the dogs soon settled. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying again!

True gem. The owner and staff are the best we have come across in a long time. They could not do enough for us. From borrowing scissors to bringing us bags of books (we had forgotten to bring ours). I asked for the children's meal as I was unwell, again not a problem. Breakfast is excellent, as was the meal at night. Toiletries replenished every day, clean towels every day if required. Bed super comfy.

The breakfast was very well provisioned and was, in my opinion, the best fried breakfast I've had in many many years. Plenty of toast, cereal, orange juice and bananas included too with either tea or coffee in plentiful supply. Val made sure that nothing was too much of an issue and we ended up exchanging some life stories. Lovely place to stay and extremely excellent value for money. the room was comfortable with a great shower.

Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. They really went the extra mile to make my stay memorable. Evening meal was delicious and so was breakfast. Room was comfortable with a great shower. This will undoubtedly be my “go to” hotel whenever I’m in the area. A great hotel made extra special by all the people working there. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. Miss Valerie, the owner, she's absolutely fantastic; polite, always available to help with any problem. The breakfast was amazing. Moreover there is a very nice pub inside the hotel, the food is incredibly good. The atmosphere there was excellent. The hotel is very good value for money, clean, safe, and comfortable.

The breakfast was really good as we chose exactly what we wanted to have. The porridge was exceptionally good. The bar staff and waitresses were really pleasant and hard working. Nothing was too much bother. The owner, Val, was really attentive and really good company. We felt we were talking to a friend we'd known for years.

I was blown away by the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was phenomenal. The bathroom was well stocked, the tea making was exceptional and the beds were divine. TV was a bonus and provided easy use and many channels.
