Perfect stay. The hotel is situated just outside the medieval wall, which surrounds the Old Town - it's a walking distance from the railway station and from the entrance into the Old Town. Very conveniently there is a seafood restaurant and a cafe situated just nearby. The hotel has a rooftop terrace and a spa, the latter I unfortunately did not have time to try. The team is very helpful and is around 24 hours. The room was super clean, the cleaning happened daily, the AC worked well, the water pressure was good in the shower, the bed was big and soft and just like i needed it.

There is literally nothing i could think about

The position was really convenient. Just outside Lucca city walls. Parking easy. I think the most positive part of the stay was the very professional and extremely friendly and kind staff on the front desk. We also liked the Bar Celide next to the hotel.

I guess the only negative factor was quite noisy air conditioning unit from the spa and the restaurant next to the hotel. With the window closed it was not a disturbance but when open, it was a bit noisy. To be fair the very kind staff offered to change our room but we decided to stay and had a good nights sleep with the window shut..

The hotel was recommended by friends, and was really good. The room was spotless, had a pleasant fragrance, and the staff was very kind and friendly. The hotel location was also ideal—close to the city center and the train station. The breakfast had plenty of options of fresh breads, rich coffee, freshly squeezed juice, local cheeses and deli meat, yogurt, and delicious regional specialties like cakes, pies, honey and jam. One of the best perks was the complimentary bicycles for guests, which allowed me to explore the city's historic walls in a unique and memorable way. It was a fantastic experience overall!

The best location! Free onsite parking, 24hr reception and the staff can speak English. The breakfast was really good, lots of gluten free options and also some lactose free yoghurt, real coffee was offered, perfect. The room I had was nicely appointed, with a window that could open that also had netting. I didn't have a view but I'm not sitting at the window all day. The room was cleaned everyday and there was a good selection of toiletries, minibar, a kettle and teas & coffee. I found the bed comfortable and there was a selection of pillows, I can't comment I always travel with my own.

Location, breakfast was very good and cleanliness of hotel was great , all staff were helpful, the breakfast staff were fab and housekeeping /room staff was superb , thank you .

some inconsiderate and noisy guests from above floor moving not lifting furniture in early hours waking us up was rather annoying . Having to pay for water from mini bar and not been able to put your own water in room fridge/bar .

Room was not large but had sufficient storage and the bathroom big enough to lay out your toiletries. Bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was good - important as it was so hot. We slept very well. The shower was very good too. Breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely , bright room. The welcome from the staff as soon as you walk in the door is lovely. The hotel has a family feel to it, not like the larger hotels. It is about 8 mins walking distance to the city walls depending which entrance you use to the city. It is just outside of the walls so it is peaceful. The breakfast has the usual choices, cereal, yoghurt, ham, cheese, pastry’s etc.. and wonderful coffee. There is a nice bar which is very comfortable and a fitting size fi the hotel. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar attached from the outside. Food in the restaurant is really nice and a good price. The coffee shop/bar is open all day serving pastries right to beer/wine. I have stayed here before a few times, the first being over 20 years ago. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Nothing at all

The location of the facility is one of the best possible, just outside the city walls but still in a more modern building than you would get inside. Breakfast is good, staff is very friendly and accommodating. Clean room although a bit on the small side.

My highest concern is with safety and both rooms we booked were with a very high and not marked step just after entering the bathroom. I almost fell down the first time I used the bathroom. If the step is unavoidable, it should be marked and also have a sign in the entrance.

Very friendly, helpful staff

The shower floor was a bit old and tired. We were in the deluxe double room and there was actually too much furniture. There was a black round wooden table and a large floor lamp that took up space. The room, for us, would have had more utility with more space if the hotel reduced the extra furniture. It was a bit hard to lay out two suitcases. Breakfast was good, but would have been better with some cooked eggs — fried or scrambled. (They offered only hard-boiled eggs.)

The location is great, literally just outside the city wall and handy for the nearest gate. Staff, room and breakfast were all everything you could want. One member of staff even remembered my wife and I from a stay 2 years previously which was a nice surprise and made it feel really friendly. I would definitely come back again.
