The room was large & comfortable, with spaces to sit & relax or sit & work. Staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was good enough for my needs. I had asked for an accessible room as I struggle with showers over the bath and was impressed to have a full wet room. Wifi worked well which was helpful to catch up with emails as I was there for a work event. The location was absolutely ideal as I was part of an event taking place across the road in the university & I also really appreciated being able to leave my car until the end of the day after check out.
The room was a little warm - to be expected given the weather, but there is limited opportunity to open windows due to the traffic noise. Provision of air conditioning or a fan would be helpful, or even just a thinner duvet in the summer months. Having a large bed was very nice but it also came with a huge, heavy duvet which made it difficult to keep cool during the night. The wet room was great but the shower head needs replacing or fixing as as much water came out of the back as came out of the spray head itself (room 210). Breakfast was ok but I would have liked a greater choice of non cooked products as I don’t usually eat a full cooked breakfast..

This was busy but very efficient, well run, and clearly well cared for --- very clean and staff helpful and unobtrusive. It is not often that Air Conditioning is needed in Preston but the rooms were a tad warm -- but still very pleasant and spacious with a great bathroom with a full sized bath and shower in immaculate conditions. First rate. Breakfast was easy going, relaxed, clean, well prepared.. a little limited on choice but more than adequate.
Well, if it was half the price that would be great, of course... but actually it was good value and I for one would prefer to think that staff were properly paid and facilities properly maintained so I should not be such a penny pincher. There was nothing I did not like, and Preston in the sun was a revelation. Everwyhere was very accessible.

The breakfast was fine, the selection was as expected, I requested poached eggs, and this was accommodated, I also requested not to have a corner room, having stayed in one previously and did not enjoy the experience, also to be placed on a floor higher than the 3rd, due to the noise from outside, again experienced on previous visits.
The room was not serviced (I was made aware of this at check-in), but as I was staying for 2 nights I could not understand why, as my visit was during the week, I could have understood if it was a weekend.

All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the Dove hand wash/ body wash/ shampoo were a nice touch. There were also plenty of plugs in the room.
The lift was broken and we were on the second floor. I had just got over pneumonia so it was a difficult trek with bags and after breakfast. That was a shame. I don’t think the hotel was at capacity because hot breakfast was not a buffet but a table order. That was a shame because a buffet gives you sighted options and the opportunity to go back if you want to. Otherwise, this was a good stay.

The gentleman who checked us in when we arrived could not have been more helpful. He offered to help carry luggage from the car which I wouldn't usually expect from a hotel receptionist.
I enquired on the first morning of our stay if we could have a few rounds of toast delivered to our room. The rather brusque lady on reception said that it would cost £11! Yes for toast. Despite our protestations she held firm to the party line in making it clear that Legacy Hotels have no wriggle room within the deal for super expensive toast. You may not be surprised to learn that 5 minutes walk away from this hotel there is a cafe that does 2 rounds of takeaway toast for £1...damned good it was too

Friendly staff in all areas, reception, bar and breakfast room etc.. Very happy with our room , it was clean and spacious.
Breakfast room is good quality and a good size, but when things go wrong it lets the hotel down. One coffee machine, so if it breaks as it did when we stayed, its not great.. Back to packet instant coffee . Also there could be a better selection of pastries. Seemed to be a little less variety/ selection on this stay, but all adequate for us.

Breakfast was very good and generally so was the food available in the evenings. The chilli was excellent, the burgers good and the fish not quite as good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and despite the coach parties and staff advising of a delay in the kitchen, food did not take too long to be served.
The reception area felt a bit impersonal, and as the staff also covered the bar and restaurant they sometimes seemed to be too busy, but that was down to too few staff which is a management decision. The staff always tried their best to attend to you quickly.

Another 2 day stay at legacy we have been staying there for a few years now & we wouldn't book anywhere else now.The rooms are nice & the shower is absolutely brilliant, the bed is so comfy too. The staff are always polite & welcoming. We were made aware of a coach party coming to stay & to go down for breakfast later I'm glad we did as it was really busy but we still had plenty to eat for breakfast,we never tried any other meals we always go round the town to find somewhere. We would always recommend anyone to stay at legacy. Keep up the good work.
There was no air conditioning in the rooms only a little fan to keep cool.

The friendliest, welcoming most genuine staff I've ever met at a hotel before. Even though they were all this and more, they were also professional. Special thanks to Angie and Simon, outstanding service. It's spotlessly clean and even though it's only a 5 minute walk into the town it was surprisingly quiet. I've never rated anywhere a ten out of ten before but Legacy Hotel Preston you deserve it. I wish I could've uploaded a video I took of my accommodation as I didn't actually take photos. Don't worry, next time I'll take loads.
I'm struggling with finding a negative which is unlike me as I'm the first to say that nothing in this life is perfect. The only negative I can come up with is that I would've liked to have stayed longer.

We were greeted by a friendly employee, I think was called Liz. She was very professional but also had the Human touch, She explained everything about the hotel and enquired if we needed breakfast in the morning. We didn't have to make a decision there and then as she was also on the desk from 7am and we could book with her at that time. She also explained about the car parking and how it worked. She was very chatty and made great conversation about where we had travelled from and where we were going. She was genuinely interested. Jen, who was on the bar/restaurant was also a great employee who had a great smile and was able to accommodate our slight changes to the food order. She was quick and efficient. Thank you to you both for making our stay so lovely. I have never stayed at a Legacy hotel before but it surpassed my expectation. The room was so clean and smelt so fresh. It was also spacious for 2 people.
