The staff were so friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and we looked out over the lake. Although the decor was quite dated I loved it, I love artex ceilings.

Although it said bar was open from 11am it was not open. No food available Sundays apart from breakfast. The good thing was other places to eat were only 5 or 10 minutes walk away. Our air con stopped working on our last night but the gentleman on reception gave us his fan to use in our room.

Everything !!......having work commitments in Frimley from February to July 2024 I only discovered this gem during the latter part of my time there and how I wish I'd discovered it in February !!....I always choose a deluxe double room as it overlooks the gorgeous lake and what better way to start the day than feeding the ducks and geese with the loaves of bread I always bring with me when I check in. The staff are supper friendly and are always keen to help, especially the breakfast staff. The hotel is quite dated, a 70's/80's vibe but that's the appeal, it's like stepping out of a time machine and I LOVE IT !!

Very difficult to not like something but a small criticism could be the showers could do with being a bit more powerful and warmer in certain rooms

Plenty of parking we just use the hotel for sleeping so can’t comment on any of the facilities sadly Beds were super comfy slept like logs and the blackout curtains were perfect

I could smell old cigarette smell in the lobby which I presume is down to the age of the hotel and years of people smoking in it. Having said that you couldn’t smell if in the rooms as as non smokers and having very sensitive smell we could only just smell it

I enjoyed the large dining room and choice of food for breakfast and fairly good choice on menu for dinner. Bar facility available.

However, food prepared was very basic. No salads on plate or vegies. I realise it is a 3*star hotel so understand the chef would probably be a "cook" and not an experienced highly skilled chef you would get in a good restaurant. So bearing that in mind, fair to say breakfast was sometimes a little overcooked. Microwave used a lot in kitchen.

This hotel must have been an absolute stunner when it was built in the 1970s, and it’s still a gem now. Every member of staff was friendly and I’ve rarely stayed in a hotel as clean. Admittedly it might be a little dated in style and probably would benefit from some modernisation but actually that would ruin its charm. If you want to step back into a time when good service and cleanliness mattered, this could well be the hotel for you. Stunning views and brilliant personalised service… something a little different from the norm.

I loved it - so did my Mum. If I was being really picky there are a couple of small improvements that could be made, but we had a lovely stay and came away feeling happy and well rested.

I think this hotel has an unfair rating for what it is. We stayed here for a dance comp and my experience was that it was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent. The decor is dated and it could be amazing if the pool was there. The outside area next to the lake is lovely and well maintained. The flower boxes full of daffodils were lovely. The shower was very powerful and hot.

They should think about putting on breakfast earlier then 8am at weekends when the country club next door have events happening. The only other downside was that they need to give you more towels in the room. They were provided when I asked, but they should just be there.

The facilities were very clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was also very nice - the only thing that might improve is an upgrade on the shower head.

The free WiFi was a bit "patchy" with the stream time in the room where the FAMUS course was located. This lead to some IT issues with the teaching. I don't know if the presenters had paid for whatever benefits the Paid WiFi afforded, but I personally noted slower load times and loss of connection while in the room with my device. The presentation room also became very warm on the 24th January when the sun came out.

We are returning guests because the hotel is so good! The rooms are spacious, clean and good bed linen and towels. The staff are very helpful and friendly,always a smile. Breakfast is consistently good and cater to to dietary needs. The location is beautiful. The gardens are well kept and of course the lake is stunning! Thank you 🙂

Breakfasts were good, would have liked some fresh fruit. Room ok, would prefer a walk in shower. Hook needed on bathroom door! Crazy having hair dryer screwed into drawer - must have been decided by a man. Glad I took my own. Windows need adjusting so they stay open a little way. Didn't have dinner, did look for information, menu etc but nothing available. Receptionists not very welcoming. Reception area very dismal.

Shower in the bath. Huge door keys. Receptionists. Dull, dismal first impression of hotel in reception area. Needs alot of cheering up! Area around the lake needs work, especially the visable parts from bedroom windows.

Upstairs room with patio doors and little balcony, I like fresh air. Plenty of (free) parking. 2 chairs so we didn't have to sit on the beds. Space between the twin beds was good, not squashed together.

Fan wasn't working in the bathroom. Just 2 very small cheap shower gels. No hair shampoo. Noise from the car park late at night and very early in the morning. If I stayed again I would ask for a lakeside room
