That we were on the 3rd floor.

Door card didn't work,had to WALK up and down the stairs again after traveling for 5 hours after initially climbing the stairs. Called front desk to let them know keycard defunctional. We waited additional 40 minutes trying to get door open. They suggested to move us to the first floor, refused due to lugging the luggage back down those stairs, finally moved us across the hall.

The room was exceptionally large and the bed very comfortable.The Front Desk Supervisor -Radu Sav was exceptionally kind and thoughtful to us. He personally brought our luggage to our room . And asked us what brought us to Newport this time. When we told him that we just lost our daughter and needed time away- he went above and beyond to assist us . He even compted a breakfast for us . The kindness showed to us was amazing .Thank you to Radu and everyone on staff for a quiet and enjoyable stay . Loved the location and would definitely return .

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The staff there was wonderful, I apologize but I didn’t get the night managers name but he was so helpful along with Brandon during the day. Always had a smile and was so knowledgeable and quick to help fix those small things that inevitably go wrong quickly to getting all the extra needs to so well. The staff went above and beyond. Great room well kept, restaurant was nice and having it in the hotel was a nice benefit especially on day we checked in and out. It is a little bit of a trek to downtown Newport like a 10-15 minute car ride but that was more than fine. It was a great stay at the hotel.

A little far from anything other than the in house restaurant and ice cream stand across street

All the staff were incredibly nice, specially the two men at the front desk. We felt taken care of. The facilities seem newly renovated, the rooms are spacious, and we had a great stay overall. Breakfast being included was a great deal!

There was a funky vibration/humming sound in our room that was mildly disturbing. We expect it was the HVAC or some other equipment. That was a little annoying but not enough to truly cramp our stay. Also, the chrome cast wouldn’t stream from our devices for an unknown reason, but we didn’t need the tv much anyway. Great stat and highly recommend overall.

This hotel was amazing! It is very unassuming from the outside. The inside was so nice. It had a bar and a restaurant area that was wonderful. The food was excellent, and the drinks were great. It had a sitting area which was so nice to read a book in and it had a large living room that was very comfortable and relaxing. They had a huge back to their property which was filled with seats and sofas. The rooms were immaculate and the bedding was top notch! I would recommend this place to people over and over!

The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were kind and skilled. The hotel decor was pleasant, calming, and clean. We needed extra housekeeping and the staff responded with understanding and quickness. The hotel location was convenient for last minute items needed for an event.

I would add an elevator. My 90yr father-in-law was given a second story room, which he handled okay. Also, we booked two rooms, and they were far apart. Assigning rooms for a double booking close together would have been easier for us. Also, rates were pretty high, but there was a lot going on in town. Supply/Demand.

Very clean. Spacious room. Spacious updated bathroom. Roomy shower. Comfortable bed & pillows. Had a full length mirror. there was a table and chairs and a comfy arm chair in the room. Convenient parking. Loved having a Nespresso coffee machine. The mirror at the sink in the bathroom was helpful.

A microwave would have been nice to have in the room. The lighting at the bathroom sink could have been a little brighter. A shelf in the shower would have been convenient

Good location

Price seemed high for this hotel. And the added fees that weren’t disclosed at booking put a damper on my trip. I also had to request a new room because the original room they sent us to was smaller than many walk in closets, however when I voiced my displeasure they moved me without argument. I wonder if they try to fill that room (it’s under a stairwell) and hope the occupants don’t complain so they can fill it…

First time ever at a hotel that we could hear someone walking around above us! Would I liked a larger coffee machine or free coffee down in the lobby. The bathroom set up needs a little improvement - add some kind of shelf in the shower - there was no where to set an item? That is really weird and bad. And also around the sink area, somewhere a cabinet or shelf would have been nice.

This is our third time in six months staying at The Pell. We discovered it when our Airbnb rental fell through—and what a find! Erik (manager) and his staff are incredibly friendly, and together with the great food, atmosphere, and clean rooms, we keep coming back. We’ve stayed during the holidays, off season, and peak season, and each stay has been terrific!
