We especially liked the location. This was our very first visit to Newport and we were willing to learn where to go. We also really like the mattresses on our beds (soft enough yet also firm enough), the strong wireless internet connection, the hot, hot water out of the shower, and the great TV. We especially enjoyed having windows that opened, allowing fresh air to enter our room w/o having to turn on the A/C. Our room had convenient electric outlets. This is a great feature for us because my wife needs to plug in her CPAP. Our room looked to be recently refreshed. No dings or stains or leaks were noted. We liked it that parking was convenient and that the motel was set back far enough that road noise was no issue.

No coffeemaker in the room, and no coffee offered from the office. Both ice machines were out of order and nothing available from the office. Window fell out of the wall completely when I slid it open, and I could not secure it back in the wall. No safety bars in the bathroom. The toilet paper was a single ply of non-absorbent toilet tissue. The bath towels were about 3/4 th of an average adult size. The pillows were uncomfortable and half size. The exterior of the Motel was filthy and needs a thorough scrubbing to get ready for the Spring Season.

There was no breakfast but that's Ok- I bought some food at Stop & Shop. The staff member came to my room after she got off work and helped me adjust the TV so could watch the baseball game. The room was ultra clean and there was an adjustable AC unit in the room which was easy to change, The parking was free unlike Motel 6 which had no parking.

It was $720 for the two nights. But everywhere else was $2,000 for two nights. It would have been less per person but my friend cancelled out at the last minute which wasn't their fault

The Harbor base is a modest and very clean motel, with good sized rooms,microwave and nice refrigerator in each. Housekeeping services were provided daily. Coffee and tea were available each day( no breakfast). Staff/owner were helpful, friendly and available. We had easy access to the transportation center and free trolleys around Newport. We could walk to the excellent Coddingtom Brewery and the Newport Craft Beer and Distillery was also near-by.

Internet service was unreliable. However, staff here again did their best to accommodate.

The room was clean and spacious. The grounds were tidy and well maintained. The staff is welcoming and kind. We had a small issue with the room and the staff immediately went to work making it right and exceeded our expectations in the level of attention and professionalism in doing so.

There was nothing to not like. This is one of the best budget hotels I've stayed at in terms of cleanliness and service.

This location is very convenient to New Port. The room has two FULL size beds, we new that and it worked great for us. There are great food options very near Blue Plate diner is great, grocery shopping and a Dollar tree. The room had a microwave and a mini fridge. There was a free trolley/ bus #67 and 68 free from May to October 31 and if you ride it and validate your parking it is only 2.00 to park. Hop on and off all day and avoid the parking fees and traffic. You can ride past the mansions and get the feel of the town, hop off to do the cliff walk but be aware there is no getting off once you start, you may want to walk and then turn around and go back to where you started. The staff isn't hands on and could be it was October and the season was at an end.

I wish they left some chairs out front. I like sitting underside no matter the weather.

The place was great, location is very convenient, 10-15 min to any Newport place, place is clean, they did warm up the place before my check-in. Staff is amazingly friendly, very easy check-in and check-out. I highly recommend it.

The shower was a little tired but it didn't really bothered me, it's definitely not the worst one I have seen.

.Nice staff. Great price in a very expensive area. Nice bathroom and TV with variety of channels. Contractors unwinding outside till about 10pm but they followed the 10pm directive for quiet time.

The floors need to be mopped with hot soapy water. This Motel is nice but if you go barefoot and your feet are black, it will turn people off. The man cleaning the rooms was working hard but had lots to do.

I had to check in very late, shortly before midnight, after attending a wedding. The reception door was locked and phone number was listed on the door. The receptionist answered right away and was very helpful and friendly, and came out to open the door right away. Check in was easy and the clerk was very nice. The hotel was in a good location for Newport and the best value in town.

Very convenient, modestly priced motel, near Newport. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Average but perfectly adequate amenities, good value for money, great for a short stay. Would definitely return if in need of a place to stay for a night or two near Newport.

One of the bedside lamps did not work.

Everything that you would want in the motor Inn. For me, a good nights sleep is most important and how I base my readings. the layout of the motor lodge is great. Even though it’s very convenient and off the road, the units are behind the road and as a result very quiet night sleep. Not sure why it has lower ratings, as it is as advertised, no-frills, straightforward, and much more affordable than places just 10 minutes away.
