If you’re looking for a place with soul, charm, and a personal touch, Le Flâneur is it. This small B&B, with just five rooms, offers an authentic experience that beautifully blends with the romantic and historical vibe of the city. From the moment we arrived, hosts Erika and Dietrich made us feel truly welcome. Erika prepares a delicious homemade breakfast every morning — something to genuinely look forward to, with fresh, local ingredients and thoughtful touches. Over breakfast or in passing, they’re always ready with great recommendations on what to see, where to eat, and which bars to visit. They even provided a personalised map with tips and guidelines, which made exploring so much more enjoyable. A special mention goes to their little dog, Flannel, who greeted us every day with the friendliest tail wags and brought an extra layer of warmth to our stay. The B&B itself is clean, centrally located, and filled with character. Dietrich’s unique collection of curiosities and artwork scattered around the house adds a magical, almost storybook-like feeling to the place. And the casual, warm chats with the hosts made us feel like we were staying with old friends rather than at a regular accommodation. Le Flâneur is perfect for travellers wanting more than a soulless hotel room — it’s a stay you’ll remember. Highly recommended.

Erika and Dietrich are amazing hosts and just in general such great people. You can tell the B&B is their passion. I loved the decor, every time I thought I saw everything I'd spot something new, it's full of their personality, I loved it. Erika is so thoughtful the way she goes through the tourist map and for giving the recommendations - Lizzies wafles is a must! If I go back to Bruge I will definitely stay here again. The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk from the centre. The breakfast was amazing, cooked by Erika fresh each morning, with a selection of breads, pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses, very plentiful. The room I stayed in had a beautiful freestanding bath. Last but not least, the lovely Flaneur, the family dog. I loved being greeted by Flaneur every morning, she is such a lovely dog.
There is nothing not to like.

Everything about this place is amazing. The location is an easy 10 minute walk down pretty cobbled streets to the main square. The decor inside is unbelievable! Dietrich is a collector, and the whole house is a fascinating spectacle. The room was large, decorated beautifully, and Erika cooked fresh and interesting breakfast each morning, varying the menu each day. They were both incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Special mention to the frendliest dog in Belgium, little Flanelle! The whole stay was nothing short of spectacular.

My sister Katy and I stayed for three nights. Erika and Dietrich were amazing hosts! They were so warm, friendly and engaging. They made us feel like family. Their home is a historic residence built before 1840. Dietrich’s historic collectibles are scattered throughout their home and they add so much interest, quirkiness and fun! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with nice touches of history and years gone by, but with modern conveniences. The beds were so comfortable and we both slept like babies. Erika’s daily breakfasts were out of this world and to die for! The location is very convenient and a five minute walk from the center of Bruges and the Markt, yet far enough from the busyness of the central city. A word to the wise……if you challenge Dietrich to foosball or darts, you better bring your A game! It was so much fun!! We can’t say enough good things about Erika and Dietrich. They are the best! You will love their lovely home! John and Katy O’Brien

The whole house has huge charm and character and is decorated with a carefully curated wealth of collectibles, art and objects. We loved the Coca-Cola coolbox honesty bar, with a good range of Belgian beers and matching glasses. The location is perfect; quiet but just a short walk from the centre and the bars and restaurants recommended by our hosts. Breakfast was fantastic, the hospitality spot-on and the resident dog an added bonus. We'd love to stay here again.
Everything was great. We should've used the anti-mosquito plug-in thing provided, but that was our fault!

Lovely accommodation full of character and charm. The owners were so nice and friendly and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with homemade treats made by Erica and their cute little dog greeted me every morning. The location was also great, in a quiet place but just a short stroll from the centre. Bruges is a beautiful city, with amazing architecture and interesting history. I recommend the walking tours and the canal tour to ensure you don’t miss any places of interest and to learn the history. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

We arrived on wed 20th March 2024 for a 3 night stay. Erika greeted us at the door with a big welcome. She invited us into the kitchen to tell us about Bruges and its attractions. We also met Flan - the pet dog, who, like Erika and Dietrich was always pleased to see us. The room was at the top (two flights up) with a bath (with shower) and a toilet. Bed was comfy and we were supplied with a coffee machine (as well as some treats!). There is also a fridge on the landing with wine, beer and water (at the same price you would pay at a supermarket) - nice touch. Breakfast was tremendous. I variety of different local foods and different every day! I would highly recommend staying here, it is ideally located (5 mins from Belfort) and the hosts (Erika and Dietrich) are lovely. We will return!
There is nothing we didn't like.

The location is excellent! It’s five minutes from the center but away from all the crowd: quiet and private. Erica and her husband are the nicest Airbnb owners I’ve ever had among many years of traveling all over the world. Their house recreation is impressively unique, creative and fancy. There are so many options for breakfast and they are so delicious that I don’t want to leave the table! I had great time chatting with them and the guests as well. They’ve provided great recommendations and believe it or not, all the house guests met in the restaurant they’ve recommended! Erica provided hot water for me so I could drink tea all day. I could go on and on like this forever… They have truly provided a home away from home!

We loved everything! Our stay was perfect and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The property is stunning and all the love and care that has been put into it, shines through the moment you step through the door. The hosts were warm, welcoming and made us feel straight at home. Nothing was too much trouble, and you could tell that they genuinely love what they do. Thank you for an amazing time. Breakfast was excellent. Little Flanel (doggy) was a super star and so cute. Everything was spotlessly clean. We have stayed all over the world in various places - but this B&B is very special.
The only thing we didn’t like was leaving ‘Le Flaneur’ and the beautiful city…

Exceptional hosts, breakfast and accommodation. The perfect place to stay in Bruges … an easy walk into the centre and around the canals. Erika and Dietrich were warm and welcoming hosts .. and breakfast I am sure will be the best and most generous we have on our holiday! Delicious home made preserves, tea and a different hot dish each morning! Thank you to you both! Recommend getting up early if you want to see the city at peace. The centre is exceptionally busy with tourists during the day so an early morning walk is very worthwhile and highly recommended.
