Love the location, right opposite Catseye beach with easy access to the main pool and hotel pool. We were in a king room on floor 18 so the view was amazing.

The bathroom is very dated (pretty much original) but it was very clean. It just lets down the room as a whole as the bedroom is upgraded and looks great. The buffet breakfast was good but very busy. Reef hotel guests can go to Sails restaurant on catseye beach which was much quieter.

Overpriced for what you get, bad coffee and cold breakfast as they were to busy, ran out of cutlery milk orange juice, for $900 a night, should be silver service

We loved our stay at Reef View Hotel. Although we were only on the 4th floor, the view was incredible & we watched the sunrise most mornings. Our room very large & was clean, comfortable, modern & was serviced each day. The beds were comfortable & the facilities were good. We loved the buffet breakfast each morning, there was so much variety & the food was delicious & replenished regularly. We also had dinner in the Pool Terrace Restaurant one night & the food was delicious & the staff were friendly. The hotel pool was the best to swim in because it was heated & it was enjoyable to relax on a lounge next to the pool or the beach which was also very close.

There was nothing that we didn’t like, everything was excellent!

Hotel is in a great location and has great views of the coral sea. The manager gifted my wife a nice bottle of sparkling wine for her birthday, which was a great gesture. The house keepers were super efficient, you can definitely tell they are on day rate, they attacked the room like a military unit. But overall it was a good stay and good value for money compared to the alternative accommodation.

Enjoyed the stay at Reef view hotel, you can definitely tell some of the infrastructure needs renovation. Some of the fittings and fixtures look unchanged since the 80’s, for example Window frames, cupboards. Lack of drawer space, maybe some chest of drawers or tall boy would facilitate more modern furniture solutions. How hotel guests don’t get any priority on the pool terrace dining area.

Beautiful location , good heated pool, decent buffet breakfast

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. It had clearly not been properly vacuumed either upon our arrival or after we specifically requested a thorough vacuum on the third day of our stay. The bathroom and toilet were also not clean — the floor, walls, and doors were visibly dirty. The towels didn’t look or smell fresh, which added to the overall sense of neglect. To make matters worse, the shampoo and conditioner bottles appeared to have been refilled with water instead of actual product. This level of service was far below our expectations.

The view from the Coral Sea room was absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect, walk to the beach or pools and free 10 minute shuttle bus to the marina. The room is large and comfortable, decor is classic nothing fancy. The bathroom is spacious and includes a bath. The mini bar was well stocked. We had room service every day, and the food was really good. On the last day we had the buffet breakfast at Pool Terrace, but for us the room service breakfasts were better - better coffee and better value. Everywhere you turned there was a smiling staff member ready to help. This is the Reef View’s strongest selling point for me, and it made our stay so enjoyable.

Wifi connection was inconsistent, but not a big deal for us.

Huge rooms, good views even from the second-floor garden rooms (all rooms face the water, see Google Maps), walking distance from everything (but then again, everywhere is), shuttle connectivity good. In general, a good stay. Hamilton Island and surrounds is a beautiful place.

Everything about Hamilton Island is about 20% more expensive than Sydney. This hotel was a bit more so. Every AC unit in this hotel is filthy to look at, and, it turns out, the one in the room caused a moldy smell when turned on. The room was cleaned perfectly well, but there was a fair few tiny bugs in places. To the point that one cannot trust leaving dry food unattended.

Fantastic location looking out over Catseye beach from our balcony. Centrally located to public pools on the island and within walking distance to shops, attractions and bush walking opportunities. The hotel has a free shuttle bus stop right out the front of the hotel that can take you into the main town/marina or to any other places you want to go on the island. The swimming pool was large enough, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The water was also warm. The breakfast was lovely, a large selection of items to choose from and overlooked the pool. Our room was big and spacious, clean and comfortable as well as fairly quiet.The balcony had some seating that you could sit at and watch over the ocean. Free foxtel in the room.to watch movies on a rainy day.

The lunch and dinner menu at the hotel is not the best and my fish was undercooked. Much better to head into town and eat at some of the other restaurants. There is a variety to choose from. There is an abundance of cockatoos on the island and unfortunately because tourists have fed them they hang around the resort - by the pool and restaurant area as well as on your balcony. The bathroom in the room is a bit dated and the water leaks out of the shower through a small gap which then floods the floor and floor mat. The pillows to sleep on were flat and uncomfortable, so found it hard to sleep for the whole night.

Had the best time ever in Hamilton island. Would highly recommend. We went during the Easter break and naturally everything was very busy. However I booked everything in advance such as accommodation, buggy and reservations for meals which helped. The reef view was amazing, the room was huge. we were able to use the facilities before check in and after check out. There were toilet and shower facilities in the hotel post check out which was very helpful.

could have been more water fountains / ice machines as none were working on any of the floors. also there were two large empty bottles of water on the counter when we arrived. This may have been missed by house keeping, not the end of the world, simple mistake.

Idyllic location THE most uncomfortable sun lounger that we have ever laid on which was echoed by others BUT there seemed to be a sufficient amount of them and enabled you to be in the shade. Eating and drinking at the hotel seemed reasonably priced.

Very little tbh On my departure there was an issue with the case not arriving with me at Hamilton airport which meant that despite being counted into the transfer bus, I then had to leave my friend there and hoping I made it back in time. At the hotel there was some delay whilst the staff tried to ascertain where one of my cases was. It wasn’t a good end to the vacation. Seemed disorganised and caused some fret.
