Beautiful spacious room with a lovely patio area with a hammock. The island is absolutely beautiful and small enough to traverse on foot, albeit hilly. A bus is available instead of walking. The room is close to the marina and all restaurants, and close enough to the main hotel reception (although we never really needed to go there anyway). The pool is open and public, and swimming activities such as snorkeling gear, cataramans, kayaks, etc are all freely available on request, which we made good use of to see and swim with turtles and stingrays on Catseye beach. The staff may tell you sting suits are not required, and almost nobody else will be wearing one, but my advice is just wear it anyway. A sting from the jellyfish in this area can and will ruin your holiday very quickly. The restaurants are expensive and seafood-heavy, but there are non-seafood options available at the bakery, pizzeria, fish & chips, and the tavern at the marina. Overall, the palm bungalows (where we stayed) are cheaper than many other rooms on the island, and it's probably good value for money for the accommodation - just remember to consider other costs associated with food in the area; albeit offset by free activities in the sea if that's your thing!

Soap wasn't provided initially and the towels were dirty. Staff fixed this immediately upon request. Housekeeping came at an awkward time in the day every day - in the early afternoon when it was hottest outside and therefore usually when we were in our room relaxing.

The shower was great and the free shampoo, body lotion in dispensers etc. The lawn with wallabies outside and the privacy of plant cover just outside the patio. The hammock and outside furniture was great too. The quality of the bedlinen and the helpful housekeeping staff. The helpfulness of staff on reception at Reef View Hotel and the willingness of all staff to help with any query. The clearly signposted walks and trails and maps from reception. The Hamilton Island app was very useful and also the television information. It was great to find gluten free pizza at the Pizzaria and some gluten free options at the supermarket. The beach was well cared for and almost completely free from litter. The wildlife was amazing from sulphur crested cockatoos to the rays and crabs. We loved the well kept gardens too. Wallabies and walleroos were a treat to see as well as curlews and kookaburra. We enjoyed the movie package. It was good value for the week.

The cost of the buggy hire. The lack of evident recycling facilities for tin, glass, plastic, paper/card and tetra packs. The absence of gluten free granola. The absence of additional blankets for the colder nights. No whisk or grater in the kitchenette. No mixing bowl in the kitchenette.

It was very clean and modern - easy to get from the airport to checkin and then onto our rooms. Close to the free bus, buggy hire, pools and the beach.

It’s expensive but that’s Hamilton island. The only real gripe we had was the lack of options to get to the airport for our return flight. We had no checkin luggage and it was domestic so no need for us to get there more than 45-60 mins before our flight but the bus drop off got us there more than 2 hours before (plus our flight ended up being delayed) so wasted some time and was uncomfortable. No other options as you can’t drop off the buggies you’ve hired at the airport, the walk in the heat (while short) was too much for someone who is pregnant, and the ferry option didn’t work out time wise and is expensive. Would be great, given it’s a very short transfer, if there were more options for that return journey.

Location, roomy, large shower, outside veranda and hammock. Felt secluded although in busy area, comfy large bed and large sofa. Adequate kitchenette, had a safe and other facilities. Staff were great. Had fan and aircon. Wallabys roaming free. Buses to ferry you around.

Lock didn't seem very strong on door. No coffee press. Had tiny ants in the kitchenette which I quickly eradicated. It was tricky trying to get main light on without including the fan going on. Lots of traffic in the way of buggies and very hilly. Sea was super choppy and strong when we were there.

Wonderful, superclean and spacious bungalow with everything you need! Kangaroos living on the grass in front of the porch.

The Bungalows belong to the Reef View Hotel. The 10 minutes up the hill for breakfast or with your luggage to the shuttle can be brutal in the full sun. Ask to be picked up, its not offered by themselves. Depending in which row of the Bungalows you stay the noisy Kids Club of the Main Resort is just next door.

The property was nice and was in a nice location away from the hassle and bustle of the mail hotel . It was lovely seeing the kangaroos in the morning outside your veranda.

After I’d booked and paid a message came through that there was building works , I said ok , not realising it’s was a large apartment block being build next to my bungalow. The kitchenette was very poorly stocked this made being able to cook very limited .

Bungalows are part of the hotel so you get all the services included like luggage transfer, etc. A lot of conveniences like take away and food delivery, an app with all the maps, great hiking trails for all skill levels. Wildlife all around, which is very unique to see as a traveller. The sunset from the top of one tree hill is unforgettable.

The golf carts everywhere do make it somewhat difficult if you want to enjoy the island on foot.

Check-in could’ve been smoother; neighbouring Reef View hotel was super busy and noisy - don’t think the ‘benefits’ listed of the bungalows and hotel being connected were benefits at all really! Also lost a pair of bikini bottoms that I think must’ve got swept up in towels for washing by the cleaning team (had left them hanging on a rail in the bathroom) never found!

The location, pools, hire facilities, and helpful, friendly staff were fantastic.

We needed more shampoo, the landline phone didn't work to contact reception, and being pregnant, a buggy luggage pick-up service provided to help take our luggage back to the checkout/shuttle service would've been appreciated. It was a long walk with heavy bags to the checkout/shuttle service which was not ideal whilst pregnant. I can imagine it'd be difficult for older people or those with young families too.

Loved staying in the bungalows! Private and close to everything. We were in Bungalow 20. Easy walk to pool and close to marina. We hired a buggy and that was awesome to take to go up to watch the sunset. When we arrived on ferry, we were picked up immediately and taken to check in, then taken to Bungalow. So smooth.

Internet signal strength was 8/10 and shower pressure could be improved. Besides that, nothing!
