Myself and friend had a lovely staff at The Kensington. We had a little problem but when we spoke to the manager she sorted it out straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedding was beautiful very clean white and the bed so comfy. Excellent nights sleep. Room with a sea view. Ample space . Breakfast was beautiful full English toast and then jams marmalades etc after. Juice of juices to help yourself too. Pots of tea and coffee more than enough. We had a fabulous deep bath with very hot water it was lovely. Place to park the car and the. Just hop onto the Coastal Clipper bus stop just outside. Short walk to the beach and to the pier. Great spot beautiful near the boats. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly we took 3 small dogs no extra charge we had there bedding etc I would defiantly return. They are also updating their rooms to a nice standard too

Sonia and her staff team are amazing, warm welcome and the staff could not do enough to ensure you have a brilliant stay. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 6 night, with my elderly parents and 2 dogs. The dogs were made more than welcome too, even had sausages cooked for the dogs. Breakfast was included in the price which was amazing thank you to the chef team especially to Dusty. The beds were so comfy, great sleep and rest while we was there. Great location too straight onto the front. Thank you to the great house keepers too they were lovely and friendly and keep a clean hotel Thank you for a great stay we will definitely be returning x

It wasn't that we didn't like it, but as we are aware renovations are going on in the hotel. Some of the rooms need an update but we know this is happening currently. Your doing amazing as a team keep going 👏

Our second time to Gt Yarmouth, we had a nice stay here for 2 nights (Double with Sea View). The room was clean and well furnished, the bed comfy and the view out to the 'Waterways' is so cool. I like the lounge/bar room it's spacious and comfortable. The breakfast setup is very good, nice coffee and toast + full English, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Great location and right next to the bus stop and waterways.

The only thing I would fault are the stairs, fire doors and landing carpets really are grim.. Just rub it down and slap some gloss on the railings and doors and it'll really freshen the place up and probably help the reviews. .

The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, happy to help in every way and always with a smile. Nice hot cooked breakfast, comfy bed and a decent pool table in the lounge. Easy, free, off street parking is a great feature in somewhere like Great Yarmouth. 😁

The only thing I can think of was the shower was a little low on pressure, but that might just have been a "rush hour" morning thing. The water was very hot despite which is nice. While the overall feel of the hotel is a little dated, it appeared they are addressing this with refreshing the rooms, so it appeared to me they were in the process of updating the rooms and facilities.

Room :24 rear facing twin bedroom. Lovely and quiet on the second floor. Reasonably priced for bed and breakfast for two nights mid week. Replenishment of shower gel tea and coffee available from house keeping on the Frist morning of our stay. It was a white suite bathroom. Good breakfast standard small cooked breakfast with tea coffee juice's and water available. Plus toat.

The house keeping letting the hotel down by not giving the bathroom a proper clean between guests. And the water pressure for hot water was very low so we had trouble with showering. So we used the bath to wash.

Fantastic value for the money! Reading the reviews we were unsure if to book or not but we are delighted we did. The staff were brilliant and really friendly, place was in a fab location and we had sea views. Yes, the building isn't new so there are a few minor stains and mould - but the furniture all looks new, the bedding was spotless and overall the value was amazing considering most places wanted nearly double the cost! Breakfast was good and we would go again, especially as they were the only place we have stayed that didn't try and hide an extra fee for our dog!

For the bargain price we paid, £65 for two and a dog, we couldn't fault it. Road was slightly noisy outside but hardly the fault of the hotel and we still slept well.

We were looking to escape to Great Yarmouth with our dog for one night, and after reading the reviews, we decided to go booking a night at The Kensington. If the previous people had some issues, we could actually say that we didn't have any problems. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the mattress was comfortable. The shower didn't have much pressure, but there was hot water without doubt. The breakfast was plenty and tasty, and my partner really appreciated the coffee ( he's a bit fussy about coffee, in general). We'll come back whenever we decide to escape to Greate Yarmouth again.

All staff friendly and welcoming, special mention to Michelle who went above and beyond! Really dog friendly room 26 right near outside door! Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom with a big bay window over looking the Venetian Waterways. Great breakfast and good dinner menu at reasonable prices! Parking available on site but could be tight in high season, fine while we were there! There are parking meters in front of hotel and disabled parking is free.

Room 26 is right by the night door, great for dog owners but if you have guarding breed not so good as this is the door used for everyone returning late to hotel after night out, talking loud, a bit merry and banging doors, causing dog reaction! Parking could be a problem in high season but not when we were there.

Comfortable beds, shower temperature was spot on with nice toiletries included. The room smelt and looked clean and looked like it had been recently updated. Nice breakfast included with choice of tea/coffee or Orange/apple juice and a nice assortment of jams/spreads. Polite staff. Would definitely stay again.

Bit of a wait to be booked in. No mirror in the main room or coat hangers also felt like it was missing a chair. Mirror too low down in ensuite and it could do with an update as it looked a little outdated compared to the rest of the room.

The location was great, comfortable room, lovley breakfast, great bar and lounge area, lovley outside seating area, easy access, freindley staff, car park is a good bonus

Window wouldn't shut, so made it noisey as it's on a busey road, the door was a little stiff to open ideally needed a handle, should of been a sea view but it was a ground floor room with a view of a hedge, if we stood up we could just about see the sea, can see the new owners are in the process of bring it up to a nice standard,well done to you, would definitely go back again.
