Choice for breakfast was good. Service was friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our room was small, but adequate for two to share. Bathroom was fine and shower was really good. Dinner was lovely.

Room was a little noisy early in the morning. Not sure there is anything that can be done about that. The road to the car park is gravel, the storage area is just at the end of that and our room over looked that are. There was some sort of cooling fans or air con units that were running quite often, so a little noisy and the entrance to the kitchen was just under us, so again it could be noisy. Having said this, it was only briefly on each occasion and maybe if I wasn't a light sleeper I would not have noticed so much.

Breakfast perfect and such a varied choice to suit everyone. Staff so friendly and helpful. Everywhere so clean. Bar area lovely and relaxing with plenty on comfy chairs. Bedroom nice. Comfy bed. Few minutes walk to pier. free Parking at rear. Pretty outside seating area overlooking the front.

Silly little things….we stayed in room 20. Toilet holder behind so kept twisting back. My twin bed was near wall and headboard Kept banging on radiator behind it every time I moved. Tubing on bottom of blinds kept banging against both window frames all night with breeze. More snack choice on menu as I not big eater at night, would like to have eaten every night at the hotel but no sandwich choices, panini, or baked pot etc. it does state no lifts but didn’t quite expect as many stairs to climb and would request a room on first floor if come again.

Breakfast and Dinner on both days was exceptional - the food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and EVERYONE was friendly and helpful. Our room was a nice size with a lovely view of the sea, and had everything in it that we required. Refreshments were replenished and the room refreshed even though we were only there for 2 nights - amazing service. The hotel and the gardens are well kept and beautifully presented, and is not very far to walk to the town centre and attractions - really loved our stay here.

That we had to come home

Very friendly staff. Traditional decor which was spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was brilliant with a starter and a main. Good fresh food and attentive staff. The manager also told us that on the Friday they had a party planned Incase we heard the noise which i think was helpful.

We have a medium sized car so the driveway down the side of the property was tight - I realised after I had parked that off season (so November to March) that parking on the road was free and there was plenty of space. My advice would be if you have a larger vehicle try and park on the road.

I was welcomed in a very friendly way. The room was nice and clean and the food in the restaurant was great.

Though nice and clean, the room wasn't too big, and there was an extra chair in the room, which blocked it even more. The bed was a divan bed that wasn't great to my back. But my main issue was that during breakfast, I wanted to sit in the dining area next to the bay window, but the staff actually asked me to move to the other side of the same room, for no apparent reson. When i asked why, the waitress said that she set up a different table for me. Why? It felt like a Fawlty Towers experience, but not in a fun way.

Our room was on the front with good views over the Venetian canals. It was cleaned daily and tea and coffee etc all re supplied. Breakfast was plentiful and covered most tastes but continental was not shown as available. Dining room was very comfortable and not overcrowded and is well decorated and furnished. Bar really pleasant . Car Park entrance is very narrow but once through, parking was plentiful and easy. Congrats and thanks to all of the family and staff who made us very welcome.

We would like to have the option of smaller portions as it was far too easy to overeat!

Lovely clean hotel. Helpful friendly staff. Tasty breakfast with various choices available. Comfortable beds in good sized room. Ample parking. Bar and restaurant on site. Great sea view from our room. Short walk to main town and piers.

The only thing I would change would be the shower curtains to screens. A bit of a phobia/ pet hate of mine... just hate the constant battle with the curtains whilst showering. But just a minor thing for me on a short stay over. Everything else was fab.

We arrived about 7.30pm to a very warm welcome at The Furzedown Hotel. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant with homemade Yorkshire Puddings to be proud of!! We could watch the park run volunteers setting up so location was perfect for our run on the Saturday morning, followed by one of the best hotel breakfasts you could wish for. Everything was commendable down to the owners and staff, room facilities, parking and most beautiful daffodils in the front garden. For us it was 10 out of 10 Thank you

A nice friendly atmosphere from the moment that we checked in. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy and nice sized bed which was comfortable, tea and coffee supplied, we had lovely sea views from the room which also had a beautiful front garden. The breakfast time was between 7.30am - 9.30 each morning with a lovely cooked breakfast and a large pot of tea and also fruit juice, cereals and toast. The bar at the property offer a large range of drinks and reasonable prices. It has been a family run business for many years and they look after their guests. They also have a restaurant but not sure if it’s open everyday but looks good. Forgot to mention that there is an onsite car park and the back of the building. We will definitely return as we like the location.

Everything was fine
