breakfast was fabulous, just ask for the second egg if you'd like one, the location is beautiful, the rooms are standard rooms but clean, comfy and all you need to rest after a long day out. The shower was too hot but that might have been because of the broken temp button. And make sure you turn off the heating when you enter the room, and open the window as rooms are very insulated, unless you love the sauna feeling :)

room too hot, but was easily fixed with turning off the rad and opening the window, broken temp button in shower.

Small town/village. Only real place to eat is a small cafeteria which was excellent in the town. Or the hotel. But you need to book lunch and dinner early because it’s small and is full quite quickly. All food was excellent staff were 100% and paid particular attention to my 96-year-old mother-in-law who was absolutely thrilled with her stay the hotel and the staff. The town is not particularly wheelchair accessible but the hotel is having a wheelchair accessible room.

Really nothing was off about the hotel. Perhaps ensuring a lower mattress for wheelchair users who could not possibly climb into the high mattress that was originally there. (Changed out by Staff very quickly) also perhaps a seat in the wheelchair accessible shower. Other than these very small minor issues wouldn’t change a thing.

Arrived earlier than expected and the lovely Margaret allocated us our rooms - which were warm and cosy. We ate in the hotel and the food was excellent. We also had breakfast - freshly cooked full Irish it was a huge plateful as well as fruits and cereal to choose from. One of the friendliest places we have stayed in and such a good impression on our first visit to Ireland. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for your hospitality Margaret and the team.

Honestly nothing to dislike!!

Came across this hotel by accident and what a jem I found, I arrived early from work the girl in reception Aislinn said no problem we can sort a room for you gave me fine big room with a double bed. This is a family run hotel, I later found out while chatting to Ais mum, and you can see how much effort they put into running the business. Breakfast starts at 8 am but I need to be leaving then so again no problem no fuss or drama just said come down at 7.30 for breakfast lovely fresh breakfast, I also had dinner here for the 3 nights I stayed. I most definitely have no problem recommending this hotel should you be in the area, and it's not far from other places, should you decide to base yourself here as I did. I look forward to returning soon so to all the staff thank you for a wonderful stay Bill (bus driver) 🚌

The staff were really accommodating. We stayed here as my sister was doing the Charleville half marathon, they put out some breakfast at 7am for people who were running and when we checked out Margaret asked if she would like to shower after the run which was such a nice touch and very much appreciated!! We also ate dinner and the curry I had and the burger my sister had were both delicious and the restaurant staff were friendly. Would definitely book here again if she enters the next Charleville half! ☺️

The hosts were welcoming and efficient. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a very good nights sleep. There was very quick attention given to our TV which was not working on arrival. The breakfasts and suppers which we took in the restaurant were of a good quality with plenty of choice.

There was a rather unpleasant smell of drains in our en-suite which didn’t go away after trying to spray it with perfume!,

A lovely family-run hotel just on the edge of Kilmallock, an ideal base for seeing the Ballyhoura region with more than enough parking on both sides. Margaret was very welcoming at reception, and immediately picked up on my interest in history and seeing the local area on check-in, recommending I visit Lough Gur, the Grange Stone Circle and Bruff before dark, before spending the rest of my stay in Kilmallock itself. Dinner in the Cloister restaurant was included – a welcome surprise! Nadia and Ella were efficient and friendly staff on the night, and not afraid to engage with the guests on a busy night at the restaurant. The room was spacious and exceptional value for money, with a good stock of tea and coffee. The bed was also very comfortable, with extra pillows provided if needed, and the window view across the River Loobagh was a lovely way to start a new day. A very comprehensive breakfast was also included in the price, with a wide range of cooked options complimenting a large continental selection. Like dinner, breakfast consisted of locally sourced products which was a nice bonus for sustainability. Moya was friendly and well-informed about what was on offer, and while it was quiet when I was having breakfast (between 8am and 9am), it was still a warm atmosphere for a December morning. I would happily return for a longer stay, as Kilmallock is a gorgeous town and a family-run hotel as well-run as this one is a valuable asset to have.

I didn't think the television in the room was working as it should have – I could only pick up a handful of channels before giving it a retune, but it worked out in the end. The only minor fault I had with the room was a green light beside the bathroom, which made it a little difficult to fall asleep. However, once one is mindful of it, sleeping is no trouble at all, not least in such a comfortable bed.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. My room overlooked the Dominican Priory and the Collegiate Church and was well heated on the evening of my arrival. The staff was extremely polite, helpful and welcoming.Parking was easy as the carpark is located directly opposite the hotel and is clearly signposted throughout Killmallock. I will definitely return and will recommend it to my family and friends.

Everything was perfect!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The accommodation was immaculately clean and maintained to a very high standard. It was lovely and so warm and inviting on the cold days I was there. The staff was so friendly, and the breakfast was hot, tasty, varied, and generous in amount. I am already looking forward to my stay here again next year. We'll done Deebert!

No complaints whatsoever.

Food offered on arrival and order taken as we settled in. Good parking on site, lovely food served swiftly, staff very helpful, informative, very friendly . Very spacious room and bathroom, spotlessly clean and tidy. Great position for strolling through the town. The lady at reception Margaret ? i think, was especially helpful and friendly. All staff professional and friendly, nothing to fault, wonderful experience, will definitely stay again.

Nothing , it was great
