For me, the location of the Staybridge Suites Rochester University was ideal. Its position opposite the University of Rochester campus meant I had a pleasant 10 minute walk across the bridge to campus every morning. The river path that runs directly past the hotel was also perfect for my morning runs. The staff were super helpful and friendly, the breakfast was plentiful, delicious with fresh fruit as well as cooked breakfast favourites every morning. My room was clean and quiet. Free wifi worked well, and to top it all off, I was offered a free shuttle ride to the airport on the morning of my departure. Hooray!

Extremely convenient to University of Rochester! Easy to get to. Rooms were clean, modern and spacious. Super high ceilings! Kitchenette was well stocked and handy for eating meals and snacks in the room. Jesus at the front desk was super friendly and helpful!

Wish I’d asked for a room above first floor. Never felt like I could have curtains fully open or else I was on display to the adjacent parking lot with people walking by frequently. There was also a little bit of a cast of characters hanging out in the lobby & bar area. Both nights there was a very loud person in the bar area yabbering on and it didn’t really feel like a place where you could have a conversation with a friend and not get pulled into that guy’s drama. That’s not the fault of the hotel though.

My family and I stayed two nights and the rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable. We liked that there was a full size refrigerator, microwave, separate sitting area and separate bedroom. The bedroom had its own TV and the sitting area also had its own TV. The breakfast offered was good, had several different options. We had scramble eggs, bacon, waffles, seasoned potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt and other choices. The chef could've been friendlier and more courteous.

My family and I didn't like the area across the street of the hotel location. We had a scare one late afternoon when arriving back to hotel, we heard gun fire from a few blocks away and soon after police sirens. My family and I didn't feel safe and ran right into the hotel after hearing gun fire.

The riverside trail is a movie-like place for walking, jogging, and walking your dog. Especially the breakfast is great. American breakfasts are usually so-so, but the breakfast here is not lacking and is practical. Egg dishes do not have the characteristic smell of eggs. Bacon is really crispy. Potato dishes are... really delicious. I will probably choose this hotel again because of the breakfast.

Lack of kitchen utensils

Everything was clean, staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t the most exciting, but everything tasted good and it was alright for the weekend. Quality (Dove) pump bottle toiletries in the bathroom were a plus.

The shower sprayed water out around the curtain and soaked the floor. The sink also pooled water on the counter if turned on low. Avoidable once we noticed them, but a little annoying.

The breakfast was excellent; they prepared a delicious hot platter each day!

The housekeeping staff should clean the rooms regularly, but they only clean every other day. Additionally, they do not change the bed sheets or make the beds, which is rather unusual.

Cleanliness, great customer service as well as friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, rooms came with dish soap, dish washing pods, eating utensils and etc.

No pool & no smoking flower inside or outside

Fresh breakfast very nice and comfortable sleeping in the fact that I could cook because I love to cook

Front Desk was kind of rude The next day that I had to get my credit card thing straight because they don’t use cash app so I had to use my ESL card and I went out the door and my key didn’t work even after I paid for a day and check out is at 12 and my key stopped working early in the morning but the lady that check me it was very nice I came in around 6:30 PM on my birthday1-9-23 and the fact that The fire alarm went off for about 30 minutes I had to leave the room I just got out the bath was in the cold it was crazy

Quiet and peaceful place to spend a vacation with family. Strongly recommendable for future stay.

If Vegetables at the breakfast buffet are served, it would be much nicer. The restaurant staff's smile will go a long way.

Room was cozy, quiet, clean and very comfortable.

It would be much better if the breakfast serves fresh vegetables like salads.
