Went to Bayreuth for the Bayreuth Festival, and this hostel was the cheapest alternative in the city. It was a really pleasant stay, with clean facilities and a decent breakfast included in the price. You can reach the city by walk in like 20 minutes, but there is also a bus stop nearby. It totally did meet my expectations.

The beds were not that comfortable, but at the end of the day, it's a hostel, and you should not expect too much.

The whole place is very well thought out - very new feeling. We booked a 'twin' - it would in fact have slept 4 - there were 2 beds down each side of the room, with plenty of storage space. The breakfast (whihc was available for a long time in the morning) had plenty of choice. Bathroom was basic but clean and efficient. Bathmat was included. it's a bit out of town but very handy for the enormous swimming pool complex of Bayreuth. We didn't use them but there were some outside courts of sorts which we saw families using. The staff were very helpful. there was also plenty of parking space if you had a car. We were on public transport and the walk into the centre of town is about 20-25 minutes, a bit more for the station and festspielhaus.

it is a youth hostel but I'd forgotten you have to make your own beds and as we had a quick turnaround time on check in we had to make them when we were tired later in the evening. We also hadn't spotted initially that because we weren't YHA members we'd have to pay €3.50 more per person. And that we'd have to hire towels. Also (and this is minor) there is a gap behind the bathroom shelves so everything dropped through if we weren't concentrating.

Large room, building is modern and clean. Free parking on site.

Bed wasn't super comfortable, but it's not a high end hotel so it's okay.

Although positioned as a Hostel, you can book a room only for one person which iinclhdes a toilet, shower and washing area. The rooms look really nice and the services are good.

It’s not easy to find your way from the bus station, but that’s an issue from Google Maps.

I didn’t check the full list of equipment before booking expecting some standard with the price - and that was my mistake. there was no towels, no air conditioning (it was hot).

Nicest youth hostel I've ever stayed in. Great for families. The staff is very kind and keep everything super tidy and clean. Our kids have nut allergies so breakfast was a bit tricky. But we found some new favorites. All in all a great stay.
