Andrea and Hanns are great hosts and very prompt in communication. I arrived much earlier in the day and was hoping to just drop off my luggage but Andrea already had the room ready for me. She helped me plan to journey to Seceda right after checkin, printed the transportation pass and also recommended another place to explore the next day. Chiusa makes nice base to explore Sud Tirol and Hotel Schmuckhof is very conveniently accessible from the train as well as the autobus.

There is active construction happening at the property for a car garage so some noise during the day can be expected. I was informed of this right during the booking, however, the hosts did their best to accommodate my request for a quite room by ensuring that I am given a room that is away from the construction site.

The junior suite was spacious, tastefully designed and super clean; beds were comfy with lovely pillows. Big shower. Fantastic breakfast, unfortunately just coffee from an automatic coffee machine which never tastes that great. Strategic location with a lot of options for sightseeing and hiking.

Very tricky to find with a dodgy and dangerous access road just after a tunnel, even Google maps got confused. The hotel info brochure is addressing this issue and apparently hotel is working on improving access. A first step could be an email with a bit of an explainer/map to avoid frustrating way finding.

The position is great because the place has two entrances, one on street level where you park your car and one down low where the berg is. It's built on levels, with the rooms up on street level and reception and restaurant on the lower part. So when you want to take a walk in the small town, you can just exit from the lower floor and you're into town! The place doesn't have many rooms but the ones they have are big, clean and very comfortable over all.

Both when I had to do the check in and the check out, the reception was empty. And it would have stayed empty if I didn't look for the staff. What I mean is that staff should be always present, you shouldn't have to run after them while they're doing other chores. It's not possible that the waiters have to do also the reception chores and viceversa. It's obviously a problem of not having as many employees as it would be necessary, so it's not those people fault but I think it still needs to be pointed out, in case the owners read this. Everyone was very polite to me, anyway!

The rooms and all the facilities are perfect. The room is spacious and very comfortable for a family. Everything was very clean. The breakfast is very good.

The only downside of this great place was the lack of air conditioner. We visited in August. Although it was pleasant outside at the evenings, the room was so hot. It was difficult to sleep. There is a small fan in the room but it was not enough.

Everything. Clean, beautiful, convenient to the old town and highway. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We really felt at home here and would definitely return.

Parking is a little tricky, but the management is aware and working on it. It’s temporary.

Chiusa/Klausen was incredibly charming and this hotel made us feel right at home. The room was clean and cozy. The restaurant was very enchanting, we highly recommend making reservations for a delicious dinner in a wonderful atmosphere. Breakfast was also well balanced. A great location to explore the western dolomites and especially the Saben Abbey just above the hotel.

Great spot for exploring Seceda and the surrounding area. There is a convenient train station closeby and two bus routes that take you to Ortisei if you don't have a car. The room is large and comfortable. Breakfast was really good.

Beautiful hotel! I liked the simplicity of the rooms, the balcony and beds. Breakfast was amazing and outside space for dinner was great, also had live music one evening. Would definitely stay here again!

For the hotel staff only - everything was beyond expectations, even the books in the room made such a difference. Very thoughtful space. The only thing missing for me was water, just a few glasses and a jug in the room would of made it a perfect stay for the price. Thank you

Very friendly, cosy, great room and an excellent breakfast. The restaurant attached is also good quality and reasonably priced, with a large al fresco section. This was my second visit and I expect to be back.

The hotel has a complicated layout and is difficult to navigate, especially when you don't want to use the lift.
