The accommodation, (2 single rooms) were adjoining as I had asked, clean and although small and a bit 'dorm like', rather like student accommodation, contained everything necessary for a comfortable nights stay. I was impressed by the accessable bathroom with it's walk in shower and size. The only downside was the lack of sound proofing between rooms. Breakfast was great, and the grounds/ views are lovely. I needed to use my car between the sleeping accommodation and the main reception / dining room due to the steepness of the site. Great value for money. Will use again if travelling to the area...
Lack of soundproofing. I could hear every time my neighbour went into their bathroom, ran a tap, or left their room. And I am hard of hearing.

I booked a single bed, as it was 1 night but a comfortable bed. Very clean and spacious. I was driving from the Midlands to Kent and needed a spot to break up the journey. A great find, very near to the motorway. If I was going to Gatwick I would consider this as a stopover. I especially liked the fact you could walk around the estate. It is a wedding venue, so suspect you can't do this if there is an event going on. Quiet, good wifi and easy to get to local facilities. The breakfast was a buffet style. You had the choice of pastries, fruit and a cooked option.
Can't think of anything.

Great option if you travel by car! We travelled out of weddins season, so the price/quality was a at a great level. SUper friendly stuff. Nice historical background of place (we are nerds so we really enjoyed that) Rooms are in a recent buildings on the territory, so no noble smells of castle :) English/continental breakfast was lovely! It was a relatively small but reasonable range of components, everyone seemed to find themselves a nice filling breakfast of their preferences! Soft bed, hot water in the shower is hot - that is what makes hikers happy! Thank you!

Great selection for breakfast, both hot and cold, the room was compact which was perfect for staying on my own, all super clean and loved the modern spacious bathroom. Lovely long nature walk in the grounds too through the woods and seating in the open areas too.
Seemed very short-staffed at breakfast time with nobody to greet me, and I couldn't find anyone to ask. A few others I saw were looking lost as well because we didn't know the procedure. First day was table service in the conservatory, then the second day was full self-service buffet in a different room and it took me a while to find this out. Better signage would be helpful.

Salomons was very good value for money and close to Tonbridge Wells. The breakfast was of good quality and plentiful. Accommodation (we were in Canterbury) was basic but clean. WiFi signal was strong. We would stay here again.
We had a bit of a problem with the TV. There was constant static interference later in the evening, and I couldn't figure out what was causing it. Not a huge issue for us, but it was a bit annoying. There was also no food on-site, apart from breakfast. It would have been nice to have that option.

The ease to get to Tunbridge Wells. I had 6 rooms booked for a birthday celebration in Tunbridge Wells. The ease of parking, very reasonably priced accommodation & distance from town made this a no brainer.
We had been told the bar would be open until midnight, but we had to share the barman with a wedding taking place in another part of the hotel, meaning our bar was locked for long periods of time. This was frustrating when trying to get drinks on our return to the hotel & as we were celebrating my 60th birthday & I didn’t want the celebration to end so early.

It was a beautiful location and it exceeded my expectation as the price was very good 👍 it was nice to have a single occupancy room too as not everyone travels with company. The staff were friendly.
The only thing I can complain about was other people stopping at the property were loud and you could here the floors creaking above you but that's not the fault of the hotel.

The cottage was well located for the places we were visiting, safe and secure with parking. 3 separate rooms were appreciated for 3 friends staying together. Kitchen, seating areas and bathrooms were lovely.
One of the rooms was really tiny even for one person with very little space beside the bed and poor lighting. Other two rooms good size but quite noisy from the adjacent road. Double glazing would help. Also the boiler was noisy in the night.

Breakfasts were good. Staff were friendly and approachable. Parking was good - ev charging points would be a useful addition
The ensuite was perhaps a little weary. I have difficulty showering because radiotherapy has damaged nerves and my arms are not good. We gathered that larger showers are available in the rooms for people with a disability - but there are no double rooms catering for disability. Access to accommodation without steps would be an advantage.

The estate is really beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the extensive grounds, including the 'fairy trail' . The staff on reception and at breakfast were very friendly, efficient and welcoming. The view from the conservatory and lounge area is magnificent - a really stunning setting.
We stayed in 'Canterbury' block and while the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, they are a bit on the small side. The bed was also very small for a couple (it seemed smaller than a regular double), and the mattress needed replacing. Finally, it would be good to have a bit more tea and milk in the rooms please.
