Staff was excellent. Special shout out to Miguel at the front desk and Marco in valet for going above and beyond to help us.

Construction noise is relentless. We were originally in room 805 and we could hear it from inside our room, even with the balcony door closed. They graciously found us a different room. I would suggest asking for a room on the south side of building to escape the construction noise.

I loved the shape of the hotel, everyone gets an ocean view, which is amazing! We enjoyed the hot tub, the balcony, and the variety of restaurants at the hotel itself. Every floor had a guest pantry with the most delicious cookies I've ever had, whomever bakes them, please give them praise. Also ice were in bags which made it so much easier for a grab and go as well as the water and fruits, granola, and nut variety. You dont see that anywhere.

It's a little overpriced, drinks should not cost 15 dollars each, but that's just my opinion. Can not really think of anything in the hotel that we didnt like.

We had an amazing view from our room, the sunsets were amazing. We were steps away from the beach which made for a lovely morning ritual of dipping our toes in the gulf before the big crowds arrived. The pool was lovely, although it did not have a deep section which was a disappointment. They had little extras everywhere, mid afternoon snacks, ice cream at the pool, free water all day long which was lovely. All in all an amazing place to stay in Clearwater Beach.

Would have preferred a deep section of the pool. A starbucks in the lobby would have been great. Honestly cannot think of anything relevant to complain about.

Room was gorgeous. You can hear the waves right from your room. The artwork was exceptional. You can tell a local artist was involved with the decor. View was stunning. I also loved the connection to Opal Sol next door. Just go through the glass walkway and you have access to more pools and an even bigger gym with sunrise views. The pool was amazing - you can hear the waves crashing from your chair. Poolside menu - great and drinks food delivered right to your spot. Great service. We also used the free bikes to explore the strip.

I didn't like all the extra charges. $35 per day for the hotel charge and $40 per day for the Valet parking... but it was very convenient. They do offer a lot of services like the cookies, snacks, ice-cream, free bikes but I would've preferred to know these charges upfront.

The location and hotel were great. Loved the Opel sent as we arrived, employees at the front desk,bellhop and pool workers were super helpful and friendly.

The bar tenders were very unattended to wait on people at the cabana bar and in the restaurant to the point that I would say lazy/ rude. It was not busy but you still had to flag them down to order. At the tiki bar/ cabana restaurant there was a woman working that just ignored everyone and when asked a question was super rude. No one greeted us or offered to take our order unless we ask for a drink or menu. The morning bartender in the restaurant was very unwelcoming and we waited about 20 min for a coffee to go.

The staff at Opal Sands was incredible! So friendly and helpful. The food at SeaGuini was amazing. Everything I ate from the restaurant exceeded my expectation. The pantry on my floor was a great addition to the stay.

For the price of the resort the beach is overcrowded. You think you are booking an upper scale resort stay but then get overcome by the locals at the beach. It is a shame the resort doesn’t have more private beach access. The pantry could be stocked with more items and more frequently throughout the day.

This property honestly has to be the best resort to stay in Clearwater. It is the only resort actually with a walkway to the beach and not across the street. Ease to the beach is extremely important to us traveling with a toddler. All facilities were PRISTINELY clean. The sand was swept out of our room and mopped every time we left. Staff was exceptional, pool area beautiful and open late for night swimming, amazing views from our balcony—we saw dolphins every day. If you want to go on a truly nice vacation to Clearwater, the extra few hundred dollars price difference between this resort and the others is well worth it.

There is a security deposit of $300 held on your card the duration of the trip, and a $40 per day vallet fee not included in the initial price of reservation. That’s the largest security deposit I’ve ever had held by a resort. Not a huge deal, just be prepared.

What is there not to like about Opal Sands? The resort is set along the beautiful white sand beach of Clearwater, with every room having a spectacular view of the ocean! The pool is wonderful with its lounging chairs in the water, the jets that spew out majestical streams of water in the the glistening sun and the wait staff coming to you while you keep cool. Our room was the perfect size, was very clean and the beds were amazing! We were even able to use the spa and had an excellent experience there as well! We are already looking at other hotels and resorts in the Opal Collection to book for our next girls trip!

I look forward to the expanded spa area coming with the addition of the new space connecting across the street.

This resort sits right on the gulf. Every room has a great view of the gulf. Our room was comfortable and the view was amazing. The facilities were super clean, the pool area was really nice and the entire staff was spot on. The food was excellent. We ate at all dining facilities multiple times and never had a poor experience. I would recommend booking a reservation in advance for Seaguini. We booked two weeks in advance before our arrival. This is a weird observation, but the elevators were always ready for you. We never waited for more than a minute. I only mention that because it was noticeable. Every second counts when you are on vacation! Ha! This resort is definitely a step above the rest on Clearwater Beach. We will be back for sure!

The only thing I can think of is the seagulls were very aggressive at the pool area and the beach bar. They had fishing lines strung overhead in areas, but not enough. It did not bother me, but I did hear a few people scream while eating at the beach bar. Ha! I think they could improve their seagull deterrence. Otherwise there was not a thing wrong with this resort. Perfection!
